Battle between life and death 1

The commander cleared his throat as everyone was dazed looking at the image the displayed hologram was showing.

The mermaid queen was indeed a stunner in this sense. The other attendee's of the meeting all averted their gazes and composed themselves.

They were all great pioneers and powerful figures here, embarrassing themselves was beneath their standings, though they all silently agreed that such beauty could cause war on a literal level.

"The agenda for today is to decide the next line of action in response to the proposed alliance from the mermerial race. But first,we have to listen to the message the mermaid queen sent us first"

Waving his hands,the light in the room dimmed as the suspended hologram began playing a recorded message.

★ Greetings to our fellow neighboring race,my name is Lenora,and I'm the queen of the mermerial race,this message is being sent to you in hopes of a friendly alliance with the surface walkers,I would like to personally offer an exchange of information and resources along with other things that will be of great interest to your race...thereby I request a response from your side as soon as possible,thank you.★

"Is it me...or did the message sound as if it was urgent" a woman dressed in a off-shoulder royal purple gown with a fluffy velvet scarf draped around her slender neck asked looking to the others.

"You're right Mrs. Liandra,not only that but they are also offering an exchange of resources that would benefit us more.... there's something fishy to this" a man in a black formal suit answered skeptically.

"But the most concerning of all is that...why now, we've discovered the existence of their race a few years back and tried communicating with them but to no avail,I suspect something is fishy just like Sir Drake proposed" another woman who looked older than most of them there inserted.

Kane who was watching the scene silently finally spoke, shrugging his shoulders he said "why not just contact her, that's the only way we can find out what's going on, afterall.....we can't infiltrate the water bodies nowadays even with our great technology,unless we want to risk war ofcourse.

The mermerial race had been discovered years back after the Great war, though the humans did try to scout and communicate with the water entities,their messages were never responded to and the scouts also always never returned.

Normally this would mean war,but from the government calculations,the amount of population the water bodies held was greater than that of the surface land, even including the mindless monsters. They couldn't infiltrate the mermerial race no matter what idea or strategy they used.

This made the race temporarily ignore the mermerial race though not without secured preparations Incase of a sudden attack. But now that the queen was contacting the Genesis corp, it was suspicious after all these years of silence.

Though Bruce didn't really like him at all,he already swallowed his grudge for the moment and agreed with Kane regarding the matter.

All nine members present at the meeting also simultaneously agreed after hearing his opinion.

"Very well, since we all came to the same conclusions, we'll be sending an invitation to the mermerial queen" the commander concluded with a dismissal nod.

The people who attended the meeting via hologram disappeared one after the other after giving the commander a small bow.

Well, all left except Kane, who was actually there in person. "I take it you have something else to discuss with me Rutherford?" turning in his seat a little,the grand commander raised his eyebrows in question.

Planet Fae.

On the charred battlefield were the air reeked of the unusual metallic smell. Though the battle was still ongoing,the appearance of a seductive beauty called most people's attention to the side of the elf general.

The sky above the charred land was thick with the scent impending of doom. The battle master stood frozen in a defensive measure as she tried to probe the power of the new threat.

"Oh, come on, don't be nervous,hehe..you really are quite the beauty elf" the succubi landed before Diane not bothering with protection against sneak attack.

"Demon..." the elf's voice trailed off as she still couldn't believe it was really true,but the red shining eyes of the succubus was evidence enough.

The succubi eyes glinted coldly as her figure became more imposing, turning her neck around,she took in the state of destruction around before facing the general back.

"Why don't you just surrender now luv?,you all are just fighting a lost battle" she said her voice turning warmer with deep glowing red eyes.

The battle master gripped her sword tightly "Surrender? after fighting and shedding our blood for our homeland,you ask us to give up? " Her hold on the sword had never been tighter as her teeth clenched.

Unfurling her wings,which were not too large but big enough to wrap around her,she answered in an imposing and wicked smirk.

"Look around ignorant elf, do you really think your people could survive this war? , her voice as chilling as the grave.

Diane let her perception sweep over the entire land and it chilled her spine to the core that more orcs were coming from the destruct jungles direction, and with them .....were more demons.

Diane,her spirit unbroken by the revelation, brandished her great sword and smiled "my kingdom was built with the love,blood and history of we elves,no matter how many forces you have, we'll either conquer you or send you to death along with us"

"For the ELVEN KINGDOM!"

Her declaration,heard by the other warriors made them steel their shaken resolve,they were ready to besiege this orc-demon army till their very last breath.

In the next heartbeat,the succubus blurred into motion her voice barely an echo "let me enlighten you then"

Appearing in the sky, the succubi raised her hands conjuring a storm of dark flames. The pressure her miasma exerted was relentlessly cutting the air turning into a dark red voltex of flames.

Undeterred by the terrifying display of skills, Diane raised her sword defiantly as the glow changed from blue to green,the earth beneath her trembling in amalgamation between her raw strength and elemental abilities.

The real battle was about to unfold....
