I lowered my eyes and tried to grab my hand from his as he led me out of the college grounds.
Without warning, Ash turned and pulled me to him, my unpreparedness slamming me head first against him. He laid his eyes on my face. "Who is he?"
"I..." My eyes wandered from side to side. I couldn't see anyone in particular, all I could see were students eyeing us everywhere. "Who? Just... let go of my hand. I can walk. People..."
"The person you wish to hide me from. Who is he?" Ash tightened his grip on my hand.
I remembered that he was so much capable of creating a scene anywhere he deemed fit hence I stopped struggling. "No one. I don't get you."
"Why are you trying hard to get your hand out of mine, Princessah?"
"I... I'm shy. These are my school mates." I lowered my eyes. When he didn't say anything, I added what was actually making me shy. "Now everyone is assured that I do get fucked up." At times I tend to forget that Ash was able to figure out exactly what was on my mind.
Saying that last bit was my attempt to distract him from the fact that I didn't want Rodney to see me with Ash. But... just how on earth was he always able to figure me out? Was he really... was he really able to read my mind? If he was...
I lifted my eyes to look up at him.
"You still care about your exes." Ash pointed out.
I blinked and quickly looked away. Remembering that El was still nowhere to be found, I looked back at him and asked, "What, are you going to go after them like..."
"Don't ever take his name on your tongue." His eyes flashed in warning. He knew who I was going to talk about. "And give me a challenge, Princessah, don't bring me pups to push away from you."
I was reminded about Javier. It was still not clear how Ash had become friends with Javier nor how he had found out that he was my boyfriend at the time. Had he been stalking me? Had he...
Rodney.
He could have used anyone to get to me or simply given me a call. Why did Ash decide to grab and use Rodney?
"Please let go of me." I begged him. "I have class."
"As if I mind. You could drop out of school and still live well off on your brother's stash for seven lifetimes." He sneered.
"Please..." I pleaded. "I... don't... don't make me create a scene..."
"Oh, worry not. I don't mind helping you create a scene." He flashed a devilish grin.
"Asshole..."
"Say that again?"
"I suddenly don't feel like fucking with you anymore." I told him. "I swear the moment you let me give you head I'm going to bite you real hard."
I watched him suck in air between gritted teeth before his eyes darkened and focused on me. "I'll kill you." It was a growl.
"Dare me." The moment the words left my mouth, it downed on me where the darkness in his eyes came from. It wasn't darkness of lust.
It was pure evil.
Something about him frightened me, and I was suddenly gripped by fear. A wrong move? I slowly shook my head. "Ash... I'm sorry. I won't be shy around you anymore. You can do anything with me anywhere. Okay?" I stood on tiptoes and wrapped my free hand around his neck in a hug. "Anything." I whispered into his ear and felt his muscles tighten.
"Anything," he turned his head only a fraction.
"Yes." I told him.
My chest felt lighter but for some reason my heart started beating really fast when Ash turned and walked me out towards his car.
"What are you doing?"
"Taking you somewhere fun."
"Fun?"
......
Don't let him know about it." Matteo was saying. "Tell him to deal with the shipment from Wales."
"But that's not yet finalized, you know?" Kay asked. "They said there was trouble with the vessel papers and they got detained."
"Exactly why you need to let him deal with it now." Thane put in.
"Something to keep him distracted while I sort this out." Matteo added and Kay nodded before leaving.
"I could literally kill him right now." Thane kicked at the chair. "There wouldn't ever be sucha a perfect opportunity."
"He keeps protecting that bastard." Nyx said. "One could think he still has ties with him."
Stellan chocked on his cigar and Nyx rushed to him. "Are you alright? You keep chewing on that shit nonstop."
"I'm alright," Stellan waved him away. "But you probably are not."
"I... you're the one chocking here." Nyx let go of him.
"Keep your mouth shut, please?" Stellan begged him.
Kay nocked on the door before entering. "You're awake."
"Sure."
"Matteo asked me to let you know to deal with the Welsh dealers."
"I thought that was on hold." Devyn eyed Kay, whose eyes shifted uncomfortably.
"Well, it was but he said you should figure out a way to make it come through." Kay answered. "He said he invested some money in it and crap."
That statement didn't really give off any Matteo vibes. Kay was definitely lying but... why would Kay lie for Matteo? Devyn smiled. "Tell me Kay, what exactly is your boss doing?"
"Well..." Kay glanced at the door. "I'm not sure but he's busy with some work. New work. That just came in now."
Devyn tilted his head. "Traceigh has been awfully silent. Is your boss doing some work related to Traceigh?" When Kay said nothing, Devyn slid off the bed.
"Devyn," Thane started.
"What the hell are you here for?" Matteo sighed deeply.
"Kay?" Stellan raised his eyebrows at Kay who walked in right behind Devyn.
Kay shook his head. "I didn't..."
"What did Ash do this...?" Devyn stopped himself when he saw the screen in front of Matteo.
