Chapter One Hundred and Eight

Sarah POV

By the way you look so beautiful, what's the occasion? Ella asked with that mischievous smile of hers. Nothing is going on I replied and tried to walk out of the kitchen but Ella stopped me. Not so fast my friend, you owe me an explanation for what you did this morning and also a lot of gist cause am sure a lot happened while am not around, Ella said and patted the stool beside her for me to sit down and gist her. Two things my best friend love the most in her life is gist and food,she can kill for the two. 

I sat down and told her about what my boss requested from me and that is why am looking like this so that I can look the part I told her. Wow,so your shopping phobia have been cured at last Ella commented clapping loudly. I looked at her like she has lost her mind finally,will you stop acting like a nutcase I reprimanded her. No my dear this is not a matter of crazy,you and I know that you hate anything that have to do with shopping, even when I offered to pay for everything thing you still refused,Ella said. I did not say anything cause I know what she said is nothing but the truth. I guess when love happens you will do anything for the person you love to make him or her happy Ella commented while having that far away look in her eyes.

The look in her eyes got me worried,are you okay Ella? I asked her. Yeah am fine just this issue I have been having with my father recently he arranged a marriage against my will and I left the country against his will to avoid the wedding,she said. Am surprised to hear what Ella said just now cause I have never heard of it before, but you never told me this before I thought we are best friends, I said giving her that disappointed look. Sarah don't be angry with I just don't want to add to your problem, you already have a lot in your plate Ella said. What do you mean by I have a lot on my plate? What the hell are you talking about? I asked her.

Well this whole thing started when Evans started to blackmail you,I came over to your place to tell you about what is going on but you already have your own problem, so I don't want to add to it,Ella explained. What she said made me feel like a selfish friend,I should have look at her closely if am not swamped with my own problem. So what do you plan to do now? I asked her, There is nothing to do the worse have already happen, I already avoided the wedding that's why my father is so mad at me. I thought as my father my happiness should be his concern but he has always been a selfish jerk,I don't know why my mother married such a man,Ella lamented.

I know that Ella do not have a healthy relationship but am not expecting that the man will arrange marriage for her,for Christ sake she is an adult and old enough to make decisions for herself. That's why am tired of this rich people at times because of this marriage of conconvenience. Now that your father is mad at you because you left the country in order to avoid the wedding, don't you think he will try to do something to get back at you for embarrassing him? I asked her cause am afraid of what her father will do. 

Well he already started with whatever he have in mind take today for example he ordered his workers not to attend to me at all and paid all the cab working in the airport not to give me a ride. I found out that he blocked all my financial account that he opened for me,luckily for me I never depended on his money,I have an account that have nothing to do with him and money my mother left for me so I will hold on to that for now. So if you don't mind I will stay with you until I got a place of my own,Ella said. I held her hands and smile at her,you know that you are always welcome here and you can stay as long as you want,I told her.

Thank you Sarah but that have not answer my question Ella mentioned with that mischievous smile again. What again do you want to know again? I asked her. Why did you asked that guy to pick me from the airport? Can't you order a cab or better still asked Rose,I thought you two are close,so why him? She asked. I smiled at her mischievously cause she is not the only one that know how to smile like that. Well I called him because he is the only one available, the cab app is not working and Rose and I went to shopping remember, so he is the only one available I ended my speech with a wide smile. Ella smacked my head and that really hurt. Ouch? What was that for? I glared at her.

I know what you are trying to do and I will advice you to stop cause it's not going to work Ella said. Why not? I asked, because he is a Playboy! How many times do I have to say it?!! Ella lashed out at me. But he is changing and I think he is the best candidate to stop your father madness, I told her. No he is not changing, he is just pretending because he have a target and once he get it he will go back to his original self and for the record I don't need his help,I can solve my problem by myself, Ella said. Yeah just like you solve it today I retorted and left the kitchen cause our argument is getting intense and I don't have any strength to fight my best friend.

George POV

Am glad that Sarah accept to do this for me cause I don't have anybody else in mind now and this is urgent. Sarah and Rose went for shopping and I used the opportunity to ask Rose to change her wardrobe, Rose gave me that questioning look but decided not to talk about it. It have been three hours since they left but they are not yet back I was about to go out and check on them maybe they are already back but decided to stay at their office. I stood up from my seat when I heard knocks at the door,I ushered the person inside.

My world frozed the moment I saw the person that walked in,I don't think there is any goddess as beautiful as the person standing before me. I can't believe my eyes,am really mesmerized I could not say anything I was tongue tied. I can see Sarah lips moving but I can't understand what she is saying cause am in a daze,I was brought back to reality when I felt someone touched me. I saw the beauty standing before me and at that moment the only thing I want to do is held in my arms but I held myself from doing what my heart want and gulped when I noticed how close she is to me.

I comported myself and ask her what she was saying. I want to know if this look is okay she said,Yeah you look okay I said. I can swear that I saw disappointment flashed on her face,maybe am hallucinating. I don't know what's wrong with me,why can't I give her a good compliment rather than that lame yeah you look okay. Am sure she is expecting some compliment from me. I think I should get help on how to give a woman a good compliment maybe Google will be a huge help there is no way am asking Max for any help. I will only do that if am ready for an unending tease from him,I guess I lost my touch after Anna.

Rose walked in later and gave me my card back and asked me if I said any offending words to Sarah cause she seemed offended when she came out of your office. I told her that I said nothing of such to her although I already have an idea why she is offended but I decided to play dumb cause I don't want Aunty Rose on my case. She is my secretary but she is my aunty first. She left my office but after she gave me that suspicious look and glared at me when I smiled at her. I raised my hands in surrender she slam my door and left,that's one woman I can't afford to be on her bad side cause it won't be funny when that happens.
