Third person POV
Not long after, they are now sitting outside of Masashi's office waiting for the precise time of the Akira and Hachi's job interview, with Toshi being a helper for them just in case the interview went begun. Akira passed the short waiting time by listening to some songs in his cassette player, which was retrofitted with a touchable screen for easy playing and browsing. Hachi, meanwhile looked at his clothes constantly while Toshi did nothing at all.
Then, Akira's and Hachi's names are being called by Masashi, and the two youngsters stood up and entered the president's office with Toshi. Inside the office, Masashi, alongside some of his high-ranking subordinates, are looking at the two boys.
Toshi moved aside as Akira and Hachi sat down on two chairs while being a bit nervous. The thing that they are being nervous about is their clothing. They don't have to do some 'rituals' before sitting down due to the agency's resistance to rigid hiring ettiquete. This is why the hiring rate of that agency was a bit high other than being a place for those who didn't or never graduated from a college or university. Masashi then reads their job application resumes made by Toshi and switched looking at them and the papers a few times before putting the resumes down on his desk.
And thus, Akira and Hachi's job interview had begun.
"Good afternoon, you two," Masashi greeted with a positive smile.
"G-Good afternoon, sir," Akira and Hachi greeted back while stammering a bit.
"So, you two are Akira Baybay Satoshi-Cruz and Shimizu Hachi, right?"
"Yes, we are," Hachi responded back.
"You two are 17 years old, right?"
"Yes, we are about the same age," Akira replied back.
"I see. Akira, you're a Filipino by citizenship, right?"
"Yes, I am," Akira answered back honestly. "I am a half-Filipino, half-Japanese. My father is a Filipino while my mother is a Japanese."
"I see."
Then to Hachi. "Hachi, you're a Japanese citizen, am I right?"
"Yes, I am, sir," Hachi responded. "Full Japanese by blood."
"Okay then, how about your family background, you two? I heard that one of you is adopted."
"That would be me." Hachi clenched his fist a bit hard. "Akira-kun and his family adopted me literally without hesitation."
"My family background is very prominent," Akira responded. "My uncle is the current president of the Philippines."
This shocks everyone, except for Hachi, in the room because they are actually doing a job interview with the nephew of the president of the Philippines.
That's right. Akira's paternal uncle, Daniel Cruz, is the current president of the Philippines and was responsible for the country's prosperity.
But this was without a personal loss in his family.
"What? The president?"
"A nephew?"
Even one of Masashi's main subordinates, a biracial, foreign transferee name Valentino de Ritter, was so so shocked that he became cautious on what he will say to Akira.
Seeing this, Akira was bit nervous about what they will say about that, but he was still confident.
Then, Masashi calms down and clears his throat. "I see. Very well, it seems both of you can do the job we'll be giving. Say, can the both of you use gadgets?"
In response to that, Akira and Hachi looked at each other for a few seconds, before looking at Masashi.
"Yes, we can," Hachi responded.
"I can use a phone, a tablet, and a laptop, too," Akira added.
"Okay then. Let's say you two will start working at 3,000 yen an hour for 11 hours per day for 5-6 times a week. And that job will be assistants to the employees in this agency, like carrying important documents, cleaning, and running errands. Is that job okay for you two?"
Eventually, both boys accepted the job without any hesitantion or doubt because they know they will learn from it in order to accomplish their revenge.
"Yes, you two are now hired," Masashi said to them.
Seeing this, Toshi was happy that their effort was worth it.
But, Valentino was a bit skeptical about them.
I decided to make the MC's family background a bit more interesting.
