Her eyes lit up, "Really?! Who?"

He crossed his hands together on the table.

"Me."

Xu Anyi's mouth fell open in surprise and she forgot to react for several seconds.

"I thought about it and could not think of anyone fit for you," Si Mu explained calmly, "So I will find jobs for you."

"I- You- Well-" Xu Anyi stuttered, and then decided to stay silent to organize her thoughts. After a while, she nodded. Well, that would be the best. Having the big boss himself pick her jobs, what more could she ask for?!

"That would be great, but there is no rush. I still have to get ready first." Not only did she not have any background anymore, but in the past, her flawless body was the main reason why many brands wanted her to model for them.

But now, she would have to work hard to get that asset back first, and then she could charge in and take the modeling industry by storm once again!

After eating breakfast, Xu Anyi sat on the couch as Si Mu made it clear to her that she could not move, and he sat right next to her with his computer, doing work and watching her to make sure she did not make her injury worse.

She watched him work for a while, leaning over to see what was on his computer screen. He did not even bother to hide anything from her, and after peeking at it for a few seconds, Xu Anyi quickly noticed that it was important information about the Si Corporation buying another small company.

Her eyes shot up to Si Mu and then she quickly looked away, "Aren't you scared I am actually a spy?"

He looked over at her, and then back at his computer screen, "Wouldn't it be sad if my own wife was a spy?"

She shrugged, "But that was very confidential information. . . right?"

He closed out the document and picked up his phone, nodding, "It is information on the acquisition of another company."

"I know. . . I saw." She thought about it for a few seconds, "What if I sell the information for money?"

He closed his computer and looked over at her with an amused smile, "I think you are smart enough to realize that you would make more money in the long term with me than selling some information."

A chuckle escaped her lips as she nodded, "True."

She lifted her left leg up and turned her ankle around slightly, feeling that the pain was already getting better.

Then, a bright ringing sound of a doorbell echoed inside the room and Xu Anyi turned around in surprise, wondering who it could be.

"You sit here," Si Mu ordered, seeing that she wanted to get up. He put down his laptop and walked over to the door, coming back a moment later with a large bag in his hand.

He set it down on the couch next to her, "You will need a phone and laptop."

Xu Anyi's eyes widened when she pulled out a brand new phone and laptop, both the newest products from the famous technology brand, Banana.

"I managed to get your old phone number back, it's already connected to the phone and laptop."

Xu Anyi opened the phone and saw that it was already set up, and she was about to thank him when she suddenly realized, "How do you know my old phone number?"

Si Mu's hand stiffened for a moment as he realized that he had accidentally exposed himself, and he tried to remain calm as he cleared his throat, "I have my ways."

Xu Anyi raised an eyebrow but did not say anything further and instead focused on her new toys. She had not had an electronic device in five years already, and it felt unfamiliar as she tried to figure out what to do with it.

Together, the two of them sat a few inches apart on the couch, both of them working silently as the day went by.

After eating lunch, Xu Anyi sat down on the couch again as Si Mu entered his office for a meeting.

With her computer, she quickly found a lot of information on Xia Yiwei and Lu Yuzhe. Searching up either of their names brought the other person up, and it was clear that the two of them were tied together in a close relationship.

In the past, even after they were married, Lu Yuzhe made sure that their relationship was not revealed to the public, saying that he did not like a public relationship. What a lie. . .

Xia Yiwei was quite famous now, and she had a wide fanbase as an actress and model, gaining attention because of her pure and lovely appearance and her identity as the fiancee of Lu Yuzhe, one of the most eligible bachelors of Country Z.

When she searched up the Xu Corporation and her own name, she was surprised to see that there was no news at all about the case five years ago.

Xu Anyi frowned deeply as she tried searching up all sorts of words, including her name, murder, her parents' names, and more, but the only news that came up was a few brief articles on her parents' sudden deaths and the transfer of the Xu Corporation over to the Lu Corporation.

It seemed like right after she entered jail, Lu Yuzhe took over the Lu Corporation from his father and also immediately transferred the entire Xu Corporation to the Lu Corporation as her "husband", taking all of the Xu Corporation's assets and working partners.

However, what confused Xu Anyi was that there was no news at all about her and her "murder".
