CHAPTER THREE(OBSERVATION)

As Damian got ready for the first day of the new semester, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement mixed with anxiety. This would be be first time he would attend school with Emma, who's avatar form blended perfectly with normal humans, would she be found out or not, that was up to luck even if he didn't believe in it in the first place, he also couldn't help but imagine the look on the face on his friends when they saw him with Emman, whose beauty had been enhanced after becoming his avatar, what a perfect fake girlfriend material, not like he would say that out, he was still in the middle of his thoughts when a sudden knock interrupted him, it was Jenna, the latest addition to his growing hare.. Ahem! army

"Hey Damian, you heading to school?"

"Yeah"

"You know, I kinda miss school too, I was wondering if....."

"No!, at least not until your transformation level increases to three, the scales and claws on your limbs and the horn on your head screams Hey everyone, I'm not normal and that would draw unwanted attention to us, even taking Emma is risky in its own way as we have no idea if there are others who can detect that she's not fully human" Damian replied

" You know the way you said that makes me think you're doing this on purpose, I know it's dangerous to bring me out,but the way you rejected the notion without any hesitation makes me think there's another reason for this"

"Trust me, there's no other reason, that's just how he is" Emma chimed in

"Says the one who has been free to go wherever she wants while I've been stuck in here for the past month "

"Come on Jenna, he was just trying to protect you "

"Thats enough Jenna, I don't think I need to remind you where you'd be now if not for that same 'secret'" Damian added his stoic expression slowly falling apart

"Don't get mad at her Damian, I understand her frustration, she's been locked indoors for 5½ weeks afterall"

"True, but it's not like we have a choice "

" I think I have an idea, she can move outside the mansion at night at limited range and in the daytime wear some kind of clothing to hide her features, it's good that she can now hide her tail and wings or those would have been a problem"

" I see how about a cosplay costume"

"Hey I'm not wearing any costumes"

"Its not like you have a choice, unless you're willing to wear a cloak all day"

"Okay, costume it is then"

" Yo Damian wait up"

Damian continues walking forward pretending not to hear his name being called

" Hey I know you can hear me ice head, wait up" The voice calls out again bit Damian increases his speed of walking

THUD!, Damian dodges a flying body heading his way causing the person to crash headfirst into the ground

" Ouch, why did you dodge if you didn't notice me?" David asked grumpily

"I didn't dodge, I just happened to move at that moment, it's pure coincidence " Damian replied, his expression not changing a bit

"Sometimes I wonder if we're really besties"

"Of course you aren't, you're just a pathetic replacement for me" a girly voice chimed in

" Hey , I didn't ask you to move away when you were little " David replied

" And now I'm back to claim my bestie, pathetic excuses like you should make way" Diana snorted

" Oh my manners, have your way then o ancient lady of eternal childhood "

"H-how dare you!, mother says I'm still in my growth phase, give me 5 no 3 years I'll be the sexiest girl you know" Diana replied with a red face whether one of anger or embarrassment is unknown

" Words of wisdom from an 18 year old, if you're still a washboard at this age, that means you're destined to be one forever, no extra story needed"

"Hmph, say whatever you want I'm still prettier than any of your girlfriends"

"Beauty is not all my lady, guys want more" David laughed " by the way Damian, who's the hotty" he asked looking at Emma

"You know what happens to wandering eyes David, they get plucked out" Damian replied

"Oh, You should I've told me she's taken, not to worry though, I have Diana here for me"

"Hmph like I'd ever date someone like you" Diana harrumphed

" Enough you three, you'd be late for class at this rate " a voice interjected

"Oh my beautiful and precious Liliana, these two bullies are trying to oppress me" David cried out "Accept my feelings that I may gain the strength to resist their might"

"Yeah like you'd ever get a girl as beautiful as her" Damian remarked

"Really, you think I'm beautiful " Lily asked, her expression hopeful

Lily was a tall beauty, long legs wide hips and a decent bust, her most prominent feature was her beauty which was said to 'rival goddesses' according to David

"Yeah, no doubt about that, but my answer remains the same"

"Oh" she replied and her eyes darted to Emma "who's the girl? "

"That reminds me, she hasn't spoken at all since we met, is she the silent type" Diana asked

" Sorry, I didn't want to interrupt discussions between friends, the story's the same as Diana though mine was before he even met her, I was his childhood bestie, my family moved away for some reason, I decided to come to this school recently but I'm the only one here, so I'll be staying with Damian" Emma repeated the story they had planned for her "Though my sister might also come here anytime from now"

" Hey, I thought she was your girlfriend turns out she's just a friend, turns out you're still single ASF "

"Okay, enough chit chat, it's almost time for class " ( Diana )

" Hey that's my job, I'm the one on the student council" ( Lily)

"is that so, I don't see you doing your job, lover girl"( Diana)

"Alright...."

" Nevermind, we're already on our way" Diana chuckled as the four of them walked away

' oh laugh all you want now, once I capture Damian's heart I'll put you through hell , Yes , it's for Damian, it's all for Damian' Lily thought

"who's that lady?, she gives me the chills"

Emma asked

"Oh Lily, she got rejected by Damian but won't give up" Diana replied

"Hmmm"( Emma )

" What you don't believe ?" Damian asked

" I didn't think there was a guy who could reject a girl like Lily"

" Yeah I admit she got the whole goddess like beauty thing but I'm a man of principle I won't date a girl I don't like and besides I made a promise " he replied with the latter part to silent to hear

'says the guy who's secretly collecting his own harem' thought Emma

" Really"

" Of course, I'm a man of principle unlike my friend David here"

" Hey don't drag me into this "

"whatever, it's time to part ways"

Damian was a B class student, Emma an A class and David a C class on the verge of entering B class

"Lets meet after school I want to know more about the girl who stole ice head's heart" Diana said as they parted
