"it's not my fault, each time I get stronger certain need time to adapt to the new strength, in my dragon form it's almost natural but I'm not used to firing dragon breaths as a human" Jenna complained

" I see, perhaps I could help, I propose a spar"

" I don't see how that'll help"

" sometimes when adapting to your strength or getting stronger seems difficult a good fight maybe all it takes to accomplish that "

" I'm not sure if that's true but I'll go along with it, I'm tired of stationary targets anyway and I also want to see who's stronger between us stats aside "

Description

Kōri no Ōkoku know by many other names such as: kingdom of ice, kōryū no sōkutsu (氷竜の巣窟) which can be translated as ice dragon lair or den of the ice dragon was once a prosperous human kingdom who due to their greed and thirst for power decided to abduct a dragon hatchling for experiments trying to find a way to bypass the defence of dragons which they succeeded in doing leading to the discovery of the reverse scale but one thing they didn't account for was Martha who was perhaps the only dragon mother in the world who showed care for her hatchling, in the course of their experiments the hatchling died incurring the wrath of Agatha who in her anger turned the entire kingdom into an ice sculpture.

The temperature around the two of them rapidly drops to a terrifying degree even beginning to form layers of ice on their skin and scales respectively,

" D*mn your fists feel like diamond, even in human form, dragons are something else"

" wouldn't be at the top of the food chain without strong defences now, would we?"

" Don't be so sure about that "

Jenna takes a fist to the face unflinching, then she smiles

" why are you smiling"

"You seem to take me for a melee fighter, I admit, my strength is deceptive, still is it so easy to forget what i am"

Emma eyes widened and she tries to escape but

[Perpetual lightning judgement]

"Oh shit" Emma cursed

" Ahhh" Emma screamed in pain as a bolt of lightning almost as thick as a bucket touches down upon her followed by a continuous rain of bolts

[PERPETUAL LIGHTNING JUDGEMENT(1 STAR): Brings down a bolt of lightning upon the target that deals +60% damage when used alone, continues to rain down lightning bolts when used in conjunction with absolute light field each bolt after the first dealing +10% damage

"Huh" Jenna looks around in confusion "where did she go?"

FLAP! FLAP!! FLAP!!!, She look towards the sound only to see another dragon girl in the sky

" Oh" Jenna raised a brow "I was wondering how you escaped "

" If I had continued using strength of the wild to tank through, you would have slowly chipped away at my health, so I decided to borrow extra defence"

"I see, too bad your defence won't make a difference "

[You didn't ask, and also it's not a function it's one of your abilities ]

"How come I don't see it in my status "

"You can't, it's not time for you to know it yet"

PUPPET CREATION(MAX): allows user to create a puppet using a designated object as catalyst, path and abilities of puppet depend on the quality of the chosen material.

PUPPETEER(4 STARS): Grants the user control over puppets and Avatars created by the user, also grants the ability to share senses with chosen puppet(s). Range and degree of control depends on skill proficiency.

SKILL SIPHON(3 STAR): allow user to extract abilities form defeated foes, amount and quality of abilities extracted is dependent on user and enemy skill proficiency and difference in level

DIVINE POSSESSION/FUSION(2 STAR): POSSESSION: grants user full control over the body of puppets/avatars along with full HP recovery and a 30% increase in stats

FUSION: Allows user to completely fuse with any puppet/avatar granting full ho and mp recovery and a 40% increase in stats

LIMITATION: Requires physical touch

"oh that one, I thought you were not strong enough to use it yet or something" Jenna asked

"Yeah, that's what I thought too, but I don't think that seems to be the case" Damian replied

" Why hide an ability but still allow us to use it or a part of it"

" maybe there's a hidden story behind it or we have to fulfil some conditions to access it completely " Emma proposed

" that might be it " Jenna added

" That's something for the future, let's return to the present, who won the fight?" Damian asked

" Isn't that asking about the past?" Jenna asked avoiding the question

"I did, during the battle, while Jenna was getting drunk on power and continuing to bombard me with attacks, I managed to create a new skill by continuously using ki steps and inter connectingthem"

[KI NET(SELF CREATED): user continuously inserts a sliver of ki per step into any surface the user steps on and interconnects them, detonating one of them would cause a chain explosion of ki within 5m of the detonator. Damage is dependent on ki step]

" Why did you turn back?" Jenna asked

"Oh, I don't want you whining about how I beat you by turning into a dragon"

"Oh, such confidence, where did you get that from"

" I've always been confident in beating you , I'm your senior after all" Emma replied with a smirk

" Let's see you back that up"

With a confident smirk on her face, Emma stepped forward to continue the fight, while Jenna rubbed her hands together gleefully as she prepared to face her friend. They both knew it was a friendly spar, but Jenna's competitive spirit was rising and she began to feel a little drunk on power.

The fight began, with Emma attacking with a series of quick jabs and kicks while Jenna countered with her powerful blasts of lightning. Emma could see that Jenna's magic was getting stronger as the battle wore on. She was beginning to feel outclassed.

Jenna's movements grew more and more erratic as the battle wore on and she began to feel drunk on power. She kept striking at Emma with reckless abandon, almost as if she were trying to prove something. Emma saw an opening and took advantage of it, dodging Jenna's strikes with her ki steps skill.

(NOTE: Emma can detonate her ki steps by herself , what she was doing in this battle was detonating the steps upon creation to give her a boost in speed)

Suddenly, Jenna became more aggressive, launching energy blasts at Emma with an intensity that surprised even the battle monk. Emma realized that she had to change her approach if she wanted to win this fight.

As Jenna recklessly charged forward, Emma calmly placed her foot on the ground, inserting a sliver of ki into the earth. She then quickly jumped to the next surface, interconnecting the ki between them. The ki net began to grow, enveloping the battlefield with ki energy.

Without realizing what was happening, Jenna landed on one of the ki-filled surfaces detonating it and causing a chain reaction that sent a wave of energy rippling outwards.

Jenna was caught in the explosion and was unable to move for a few moments, giving Emma the opportunity to finish her off. She was impressed by her friend's power, but also realized that the fight had become dangerous.

As Jenna caught her breath, she saw Emma standing a few meters away, arms crossed. Emma smiled, proud of the new skill she had developed and the way she had adapted to Jenna's assault.

Emma smiled at Jenna recognizing her friend's strength even if she had lost the battle she knew that she would have lost the battle if not for her newly developed skill.
