CHAPTER EIGHT

I was sitting in my first-period class, half-listening to the teacher's lecture on English literature, when suddenly there was a knock at the door. The teacher's eyes widened in surprise as a tall, imposing figure entered the classroom. The man was dressed in a dark suit, and his face was covered by a pair of reflective sunglasses. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he approached me.

"Mr. Peters," the man said in a deep, rumbling voice. "The principal requests your presence in hee office." My heart began to pound in my chest as I slowly got to my feet. The other students were whispering and staring at me, but I could barely hear them over the sound of my own heartbeat. I walked out of the classroom and followed the man down the hallway, trying to make out the reason for the sudden summon. After a few minutes of walking in silence, we arrived at the principal's office.

The principal was a tall, imposing woman with a stern, yet fair demeanor. As Damian took his seat, she began to explain the purpose of the meeting. "Mr Peters, how would you feel, if you found out your school was part of a much larger institution ."

'Tch, direct as always' I thought. The principal had a reputation for always getting to the point in a conversation, no greetings or anything of the sort.

" What's this about a lager institution" I replied, my expression not changing.

She leaned forward, resting her elbows on the desk. "You see, this is not just any ordinary high school. It's actually a recruitment branch of a much larger, interdimensional school for magic users like you.".

!!!!!!!, my expression stiffens for a moment.

" How did you know?" I asked

"I'm aware of everything that goes on within this walls, I wouldn't be made branch head if I couldn't do something as simple as this now, would I?" She replied

" Then why haven't I been recruited already?, why is it now?" I asked even though I could already guess the answer

"You just met the requirement yesterday when you reached level 20 " she replied her eyes on a file that had my name on it

"I understand that this may come as a shock, Mr. Peters," the principal continued. "But let me assure you that this is an opportunity, not a threat.

"The interdimensional school is a place where magic users like you can learn to hone their skills and become the best they can be. It's a place of knowledge and growth, a place where you can make friends and allies from all across the multiverse. And I believe you have the potential to be a great asset to the school." The principal paused, letting her words sink in. "Now, I'm sure you have some questions, so please feel free to ask away."

I took a moment to consider her words, my mind still reeling from the revelation.

"How do I know that this isn't a trick or a trap?" I asked, my tone betraying my wariness. The principal seemed unfazed by my suspicion. "I can assure you that this is no trick, and there are no ulterior motives behind my offer. You can trust me, Mr. Peters." Her voice was steady and sincere, and something about her demeanor made me feel more at ease. "You see, I've been monitoring you for quite some time now. Your talent with magic is undeniable, and your dedication to learning and growing is impressive. When you reached level 20, I knew it was time to make my move and bring you into the fold. This is your chance to become a part of something bigger, to make a real difference in the world. It's up to you whether you take this opportunity or not, but I hope you'll consider it carefully." The principal finished her explanation, and I could tell she genuinely wanted the best for me. I took a deep breath and tried to organize my thoughts.

"If I agree to this," I began, "what would my day-to-day life be like?" I was curious about what this "interdimensional school" would be like, and what it would require of me. The principal seemed pleased that I was asking questions

"Well, the first thing you should know is that the school is not a physical location. It exists on a different plane of existence, accessible only through portals that open at specific times. Once you're enrolled, you'll receive a schedule with times and locations for the portals, so you can access the school at your convenience, you can also decide to stay in the dormitory or you can do both students are given freedom to switch between dormitory and home at anytime for this who have responsibilities . As for your day-to-day life, it will depend on the classes you choose to take. The school offers a wide variety of subjects, from combat training to magical theory to history and culture.

"So, in other words," I said, "I could tailor my education to my interests and passions. And I wouldn't have to give up my life outside of the Academy, I could still go home and spend time with my family and friends." The principal nodded. "That's correct. The Academy understands that not all students are the same, and that everyone has their own unique circumstances. We strive to be flexible and accommodating, so that you can have the best possible experience." Her words were reassuring, and I felt a little more at ease. " Now if you have no other questions, you may leave to prepare yourself, the portal is opening one hour from now"

" Alright, I'll take my leave now"
