CHAPTER 59

CRACKLE! BOOOM!

"Haha, the master was right," Angela laughed. "You're really the most troublesome fighter in the royal family after your mother." She dodged a lightning bolt and increased the pace of the battle once more, mixing her assassin and battlemonk fighting styles together. "How did you manage to deceive everyone all this time?"

BOOM! BOOM!! BOOM!!!

TAP!

One of my hands got through and tapped her shoulder "You talk too much"

CRACKLE!

"That's your flaw"

A bolt of lightning from my hand sent her flying away. I immediately dashed after her flying figure.

By this time, Janet, Draxus, and the two assassins had stopped fighting, their jaws slack and hanging almost to the ground as they watched our battle.

"She didn't do all this when she was fighting me," Draxus exclaimed.

"Is this... Jenna? Is this my sister?" Janet continued, like a broken record.

"BOOM!"

As I slammed the flying lolita to the ground, a question occurred to me. Where were the palace guards? How come nobody had shown up, despite all the noise we were making? Then I noticed the thin, transparent dome covering us.

They came prepared.

BOOM!

Angela shot out of the crater in a burst of ki.I have to give it to her - the lolli s surprisingly creative in her use of ki. I should study her more closely - maybe I'll get some ideas for Emma."

"You can't really blame me, now, can you?" Angela said with a laugh. "It's been a long time since I've had such a long fight."

"Usually," she continued, "my opponents are knocked out as soon as I enter the room. They're no match for me."

I couldn't stop my lips from twitching.

Who wouldn't get knocked out from a surprise flying kick to the head? 

"You haven't met Emma," I murmured under

my breath.

Even though I acted willy, that didn't mean I couldn't recognize talent, especially talent like Emma's. She was even able to teach me how to manipulate ki, despite not being a mage herself.

"Oh, who's Emma?" the lolita asked. "A friend of yours?"

"Yeah" I replied

" who is she? How come I haven't heard of her?"

"Who is she?" the lolita asked. "How come I haven't heard of her?"

"BOOM!" I struck her again with a powerful blow.

"She's human," I replied, "and as for you hearing of her..." I snorted. "Even if your group used all their resources and combed the entire world, you still wouldn't find her."

"Oh, she must be quite mysterious then," the lolita said.

Draxus and Janet were watching the battle with wide eyes. They seemed surprised by the casual banter that was happening in the midst of such an intense fight.

"Is it me," Draxus murmured, "or are those two casually chatting while keeping the pace of the battle that high?"

Damn!

No matter what I did or how hard I hit her the lolli always kept coming back, I began to wonder if she had unlimited energy or something.

If this battle continues for too long.

Won't I end up becoming a battle maniac like this girl?

I shivered .

And looked at my status screen at the third spell, I received this morning.

[THUNDER STORM APOCALYPSE (GRAND SPELL, 1 STAR, TEMPORARY).....]

Should I use it?

I was a little hesitant to use it, though. After all, even if I decided to ignore the name , something called a "grand" spell should be highly destructive, shouldn't it. I didn't want to hurt Janet, but how could I beat this girl without resorting to such a spell? What if I there wasn't any other way to win without it?

" wow, you're really tough huh"

No I'm not!

" I don't think I can beat you without abusing the skills of my other class"

You'd eventually tire me out!

" Prepare yourself, this is not something you see everyday "

I never said I wanted to see it, ah!

I instantly broke out in a cold sweat upon hearing the name of the skill.

Why are you so wicked?

I can't even beat you in a one on one battle.

Damn!

I smiled bitterly as I saw a part of the lolita's shadow rising, solidifying, and gaining texture, color, and form. I suddenly had another one of her to battle. Although I was able to keep up with her before, I wasn't sure about now. I didn't know how many copies she could make. If I had to battle two of her at once, I wasn't sure I could win.
