We walked through the long hallways of the castle, maneuvering through multiple twists and turns. Finally, we emerged at the edge of a cliff.

"Do you remember the last time we came here?"

[SLIGHT KILLING INTENT DETECTED]

'What the hell?'

"Yes, it was ten years ago, before you were announced as the crown prince"

[THREAT REVOKED]

SIGH!

"It's good to know you're still my sister and not some old monster taking control of your body."

"Now, do you mind telling me how your class suddenly changed to a sorcerer?"

"I've said it multiple times already, I'm still a mage, not a sorcerer."

We both stared at each other for a while, locked in a silent exchange, until...

"I want to believe you, but that's just not possible. Mages aren't designed to amplify their own magic. Most mages have frail bodies, unable to withstand such power. Moreover, the mana circuits of a mage are solely built to handle elemental mana, not the raw power of the elements themselves," he paused briefly before continuing, "So, you claiming to be a mage while demonstrating all these abilities... it's simply not feasible."

The individuals involved in this conversation were none other than myself and my eldest brother, the crown prince. Frankly, I fail to comprehend why they are so fixated on this mage versus sorcerer classification. Can't they simply accept the fact that I possess these skills? What's the big deal about a mage being capable of manipulating elemental essence through their mana circuits? To me, it makes no difference at all; it's all the same.

To truly understand this, let's delve into the details of some of the most popular magic-based classes. We shall begin with the quintessential mage, the one we are all familiar with. Mages are known for their frail bodies, their abundance of mana, their high intelligence, and last but not least, their circuits specifically designed to handle pure mana.

When a mage casts a spell, the mana stored within their core flows through their circuits and is transformed into essence. It is only after this transformation that the essence is utilized in the spell. This intricate process is the primary reason why certain spells require a significant amount of time to cast.

Now, let's move on to our topic of discussion - the sorcerer class. This class deviates from the traditional path of mana, as it primarily focuses on storing pure elemental essence within their cores. This unique characteristic enables sorcerers to directly harness the essence to enhance their physical capabilities. However, this comes at a price - their efficiency in casting regular spells, particularly high-ranked or area-of-effect spells, is significantly reduced.

So, all in all, the main difference between the two classes lies in their approach to magic. One class is skilled in utilizing mana to manipulate their surroundings, while the other class focuses on using elemental essence to enhance their physical abilities. However, as with everything, there are always exceptions. One such exception is the group of life mages, who possess the unique ability to utilize their mana to influence their bodies. This is made possible by their mana composition, which closely resembles life energy, also known as Ki.

I would have loved to explain the mysteries of other magic-based classes, but you know me—I won't. Besides, I don't want to unravel the veil of mystery that the author is trying to create, or I'll be in for a rain of crappy luck.

After hours of explaining, weaving, and fabricating a textbook's worth of lies to my persistently skeptical older brother, we finally shifted our conversation to another topic. We settled ourselves down, gazing over the vast expanse of the kingdom from our elevated perch on the cliff. In moments like this, I couldn't help but wish to remain in this place for eternity.

I was completely engaged in a discussion with the girls, oblivious to David's predicament. He was besieged from all sides by minotaurs, desperately shouting for us to come to his aid. However, we continued our conversation, completely ignoring his pleas. It wasn't until David, in a moment of misplaced wisdom, called upon the two people he deemed the "weakest" that things took a turn for the worse. It was a grave mistake.
