Chapter 83

Sam’s Point-of-View

The place we are staying at isn’t an actual hotel. It’s a dome-shaped villa on a small mountainside. One of many that line the streets on both sides.

There aren’t any cars allowed up here either. The streets are paved with giant, white bricks. How hard will it be to walk in high heels?

A villa representative walks us through the streets to our private residence.

He keeps going on and on about Santorini’s rich history. Don’t get me wrong, as beautiful and majestic as everything is, I’m not paying him any attention. My mind is racing a thousand miles a minute, waiting for the call. The one we’re Ryder tells me he has Mom and Dad, and he’s returning to me.

“Do you want me to help you with your luggage, madam?” The representative asks LeAnn kindly with a Greek accent.

“Nope!” LeAnn says coldly without looking at him.

“Are you sure, Madam?”

“Yep! I’m positive.” She sighs as she rolls her eyes. I can tell LeAnn doesn’t take kindly to strangers.
