Chapter 37: Return

Clara's POV

I felt sorry for Erik for a second when I unconsciously used my powers on him. I was furious at him that I started to cry the second I saw him gone in the library.

Am I being overly sensitive? I don't know. "Calm yourself. Our mate is guilty," Angeline said, trying to comfort me.

I don't know why I was so angry at him, but I was not too fond of the fact that he kept insisting, telling me he didn't want a child. It was like telling me he didn't want a future with me.

"Go and talk to him again," Angeline whined, missing her mate since I avoided Erik the whole day and even planned on sleeping here.

"Open this door, Clara," Erik said behind the door. He spoke calmly, but it was the tone that he used when he was talking to our subordinates.

I got even angrier at his tone of voice and ignored him. "Clara! Can you please not make our little argument a big deal!" He shouted, trying to explain himself, which he failed.
