Murderer In Moonlight

A night lit with the moon, clouds flowing along the sky with the breeze. Even though it felt like it was about to rain, a person was moving along a dark alley, in an hour, when no one dares to go out unless they have a mind made of steel.

In his hand was something sharp that was shining with the moonlight. He kept moving forwards while moving the shiny object among his fingers. The confident steps he took forward were more than enough to make the person who was crawling backwards scream for help.

"Help!" He screamed his lungs out.

"No one is going to be here to help you out tonight. Look behind you, he said, bending down."

The man looked behind him and noticed that it was a dead end. There was no place for him to escape but he crawled back to the wall.

Guess you are still hoping to be alive with me here!

I, I did not do anything wrong to you. Why are you doing this to me?

So you did wrong to others didn't you, he put the shining thing up in the sky making it fall right into his thigh making him scream in pain.

The police will be here anytime soon and you will be caught, do you even know who I am? I will give you 1 million dollars if you let me go right now and I promise you that I will not report you to the police.

Why should I even believe you? He wiped away the blood on the dagger with white clothing.

He put his shining blade on his shivering neck, when I slide this blade blood will rain here and in a minute even before you know you will be dead.

Even before the man could say anything he slid his dagger, making the blood rain on him. After enjoying the free show he saw out of murdering a man, he stood up.

The moon was shining over him, but his face, hair and mouth were covered in an all-black hat and a mask. The leather gloves he took off were wet with blood, he put them into a bin while on his way.

"Guess I am finally home," he said, looking at a tall building. After going through 100 floors, he climbed all the stairs even though they wore him off. After 3 hours, he reached the floor where his house was, he knocked on the door and waited out tapping his leg, letting out his impatience.

The door opened and a lady dressed in a maid outfit came out.

Master Phoenix, are you home?

Wash these for me! he took off the coat and the hat he was wearing right after stepping into the house.

Will do master, your dinner is prepared," she said, switching on the lights, revealing the luxury that was hidden in the darkness.

He quietly went to the table and sat down loosening one of his buttons, and opened up the closed dishes. A luxury dinner that a person couldn't even get at a 7-star restaurant was right in front of him.

He slowly ate the food and finished everything off without leaving anything.

I will be in my room, don't bother me unless it is urgent.

"Okay Master," she bowed her head.

He went into his room and closed his door, letting out a deep sigh. What a great day, he smiled when he should have been shivering in fear.

Now that moonlight is gone, I can be myself. I wonder when these people are going to discover that I am the person behind all these murders that happened on full moon days' but for sure today was too easy for me.

Without even changing the clothes which the blood had touched, he lay down on the bed crouching down and covering himself with the thick white blanket.

The moon shining night brought them to sleep, making him fall into a deep sleep without dreams.

Master, it's time for you to wake up. Chairman asked to see you first thing in the morning, she said aloud gently knocking on the door.

Chairman or whatever, I am not going to work today," he said, covering his head with a blanket.
