A few weeks have passed since Claire started making potions, and the company was already receiving daily commissions from both guilds and mercenaries. Their company already got quite a few reviews for both the high-quality potions and exceptional delivery.
Some other companies already tried to gather information regarding their company but to no avail. Adam was personally taking care of the deliveries, making the company completely anonymous.
At first, Adam hated doing this, but continuously receiving his share of the money, his demeanor turned 180 degrees. No matter how he enjoyed doing it, being a thief remained a dangerous business and he couldn't always get enough money on time, thus making this job perfect for him.
As long as it paid off the bills.
As for Claire... well, she was quite a crazy one. Even though she was just alone, she constantly produced high quantities of best quality potions every day, seemingly enjoying the process of doing it every time.
She also didn't go out too much, per Draco's request. Not like she wanted to do so anyway. Everything ranging from the ingredients and equipment which were purchased from the gathered profit was already in this building. It was like heaven for her.
Draco smirked, thinking back to Adam's awkward conversations with Claire.
During these few weeks, Draco didn't simply stay by. He had finally ordered himself a sword of better quality, though it didn't have any special benefits other than being more durable.
What could he do?
Relics were expensive, especially the ones having their own skills.
Sometime in the future, he would definitely buy a relic sword that would suit his martial technique, but he didn't know any talented blacksmiths.
Other than that, Draco had finally broken into [F] rank, surprising everyone, especially Angelica. They already understood that my talent wasn't what was written on the paper. This also made them push themselves to rank up faster, though they have made no considerable progress yet.
This once again showed Draco that swallowing those black orbs was his best decision since transmigrating into the past. He had only started training some months back, yet he was about to catch up with those future monsters.
Anyway.
The biggest reason for Draco's excitement wasn't money or his rank-ups, but the deadline to [World Travel].
He could finally use this skill again.
If he could, he would have used it immediately. Unfortunately, he was currently driving away from the academy on a bus with a group of ten students, Angelica leading them. The top ten of the class were chosen to take part in special training.
The five monsters, including him, were naturally present. Out of the other five, there was no one interesting, except, probably, Mark. For some reason, though, Mark was unusually quiet and didn't talk to his friends, just as he hadn't since getting defeated.
Perhaps Mark still didn't accept his defeat or was entirely focused on training. Actually, his personality changed a lot from what he remembered from his past life. While Draco was deep in his thoughts, frowning from time to time, he suddenly felt a little kick landing on his leg.
"Dude, stop spacing out and move out of the way." Xander, who was sitting on Draco's right, said. Glancing at Angelica, Draco understood that they have already arrived.
"I am sorry. Was just thinking about our little spar a few days ago." Draco shrugged his shoulders as he stood up, only to feel a hand landing on his shoulder. Turning around, he saw Xander glaring at him, his teeth clenched.
"Wanna have a go at it again? This time, I will beat up for good."
"Yeah, sure. I just hope you won't pass out again. It was so troublesome to carry your huge body back to the apartments."
"What do you mean? You left me lying on the ground and I woke up late for class!"
Draco feigned ignorance as he stepped out of the way, making his way out of the bus. Truth be told, their spar only lasted a few seconds. Xander was so hard on his own body and got especially beaten up during Angelica's training, hence, he was almost always exhausted.
Draco and Xander exchanged a few hits and then he simply lost consciousness, falling face forth against the ground. It had been a long time since Draco laughed so much.
Clap!
Angelica gathered everyone's attention.
"I will briefly state everything you need to know, so listen closely. You all will be going into a [F] rank dungeon, which appeared just recently." Angelica said, her voice stricter than usual. "For some, it's not the first time entering a dungeon, but I will still say the obvious. It's different from all the training you did beforehand, since when you enter through that gate, your life may very well be in danger."
Angelica pointed at the bus. "Whoever is afraid for their lives, just leave and don't be a hindrance to other students. There will be no punishment."
Silence.
"No cowards? Very well." Angelica smiled subtly, continuing her speech. "Once you enter the dungeon, always stay in groups and hunt as many monsters as you can. However, no matter what, don't even try to defeat the boss. You will just die a meaningless death."
Everyone nodded while Draco scanned his surroundings. They arrived near the border between Northern and Eastern cities, in a peaceful forest with no beasts. Looking into the distance, he noticed a huge, dark portal.
It reminded him of the one that appeared when he used [World Travel].
Actually, it was identical.
Angelica approached the guards, telling them something and then pointing at the students. The guards checked all the papers and then nodded, with no change in their expression.
They were both [C-] rank.
Humanity was extremely defensive regarding dungeons and Draco understood why. Dungeons, however dangerous they sounded, were actually treasures in disguise.
Not only was it a perfect training ground for future heroes, but it was also a place filled with natural resources. There was also a possibility of getting a skill after defeating the boss, though very slight.
Humanity didn't want the dungeons to fall into the wrong hands.
It would only cause more chaos.
"Come back from the dungeon before noon." Angelica pushed Xander closer to the gate as he instinctively flinched. Perhaps he was already traumatized from all that beating. "I won't be waiting here all day, so whoever is late will have to return to the city on foot. Understood?"
Everyone nodded again, taking out their weapons from their own dimensional storages. All the while, students started disappearing through the gate, Draco still couldn't shrug off this uneasy feeling.
Something was definitely wrong.
He glanced and examined his surroundings, the gate, the students, and the guards, still not seeing anything unusual.
"Draco, what are you doing?" Angelica encouraged him to go.
"Nothing, miss." Draco eventually just sighed, taking out his new sword.
Maybe that was just his imagination.
