The Anomaly's Ultimate Weapon - Timeline Resonance!

Time to Timeline Detonation - 100 seconds…

Buried deep into the earth, the mangled flesh squirmed, taking the shape of a black-haired man.

Black took several, panting breaths as he equipped the Hogwarts Uniform Set Item again. His MP Regeneration Rate soared, but his eyes were emotionless. Even the thousands of years worth of Calm didn't dare to flash across his face.

He felt the heaviness of earth over him, the disaster taking place outside, and his helplessness.

Even if he were to buff himself to teeth, the Ad Infinitum couldn't calculate a probability of preventing or delaying the Timeline Detonation. Not only that, if his full-strength attack didn't work out, then there was a possibility of the countdown accelerating even more.

Time was literally slipping off Black's grasp now.

What to do? How to stand against a main-storyline Character, whose existence was equivalent to an 11th-floor Contestant? With the Obscurus' strength rising with every passing second, how to fight with it and survive? How to rationalize with someone who had no concept of rationality remained about it?

As the questions bombarded Black's mind, time became a poison for him.

His heartbeat was becoming faster with every second that passed. His breath became quicker. Rage would have already overwhelmed his senses if there was any use in it. The AI within him, who was as strong in calculations as Kai's AI, kept furiously processing the theories and possibilities but ultimately failed to come up with a viable solution.

And just as all seemed to have lost, Black let out a final breath and… calmed down.

He closed his eyes and opened them again, a dark void taking over the blackness of his pupils. Pushing against the entire earth, he sat up within the crater as if he had no lack of time whatsoever. He cracked his neck, uncaring of the stones and gravel.

Then Black let out one more breath.

First thing first, Calm thought, holding his chin. Let's get the Luck back. If time's a poison for me now, then I must counter it with another, more potent poison. A poison, unique to me.

Things had gone too far for even his Luck to do anything about it.

Yet, Black couldn't deny that since the moment he had switched his Title to Death Eater, losing his luck, bad things after bad things were happening to him and the people around him. Not only that, he even believed that the greater the disaster, the greater his bad luck would affect it, making it worse.

When did things go wrong? Calm asked, the AI analyzing the memories.

Now that he really thought about it, it was the moment when he had decided to go with the best way to leave the battlefield as suggested by Ad Infinitum — To let the undead magical creatures attack the students. Then, as the young Arlen Black, he had planned to confront the dragon and use it to fly away from the prying eyes before apparating to Ekrizdis as the Yellow Warlock.

It was a perfect plan.

But then Fawkes had descended out of nowhere…

Black suddenly sat up even straighter. The Phoenix! Calm raged within him, his dark eyes going wide. The bloody Phoenix!

Now that he really, really thought about it, why did the Phoenix suddenly leave the Basilisk and attack the dragon? It wasn't like it could do anything to it… Moreover, it had been occupying the blind serpent's attention, preventing it from nearing the students.

So, if he were to put it nicely, then everything went to shit when he lost his luck, Black thought with Calm. But he was to be mean about it, then everything went to shit when the Phoenix attacked the dragon, resulting in it deviating from Ekrizdis' precise instructions.

It was like… someone knew Black wasn't lucky anymore and… took advantage of it.

The Phoenix…

The Phoenix….

The Phoenix…..

Black remembered the first Phoenix he (as Darcie) had seen and his face crumpled into a hideous frown. Because the real identity of that magical bird shit wasn't just an inhabitant of the mystical island Avalon, but a Half-Deep One.

But this wasn't the time to think more about it. Nor did he have the time to curse the Order and their underhanded, illogical schemes.

It was time to get back his Luck.

There were still some 5 minutes to Title Cooldown. Before that, he couldn't equip Master Curatorin normal circumstances.

But this can be considered as the most abnormal situation, no? Calm thought, narrowing his eyes. And, getting back my Title ahead of time… is a reasonable enough request…

Crrkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!

The effect of Time Shift ran out, but then Space Lock fell upon them, pinning down everyone to their spots in a mystifying horror.

Once again, the Obscurus ignored all such restrictions.

With all rationality gone, every single one within the Bounded Field became the target of its wrath. After shattering the petrified Ekrizdis into pieces, the mass of blackness disappeared as if it never existed in the first place, leaving behind a silence.

For those who didn't know what was going on, like all the Hogwarts Students, this silence was a blessing. They had seen the undead creatures getting crumble in front of their eyes. They saw the dragon becoming dust and the Basilisk losing its head. Moreover, the giant, three-headed white serpent looked menacing, but it hadn't attacked anyone.

So, of course, things were taking a good turn for good, no?

But for those who did know what was going on, like the wizards in the sky, this silence was death.

Crrkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!

The Obscurus suddenly appeared right between the surviving Unspeakables, riding the Hippogriffs, and getting attacked by the undead Swooping Evils.

Before the wizards could even think, the Obscurus blew up.

Boom!

It was as if someone had detonated a massive bomb in the sky.

A colossal cloud of black, fluid-like foggy substance engulfed all wizards, Hippogriffs, and the undead magical creatures within it.

On the ground, the students couldn't move under the Skill's effect.

But Space Lock didn't lock the sound.

Unimaginable, excruciating screams fell from the sky like rain, bombarding all ears. First, one could differentiate between human and beast's screams. As the seconds passed by, all screams became one… before vanishing altogether.

Crrkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!

The Obscurus disappeared, leaving behind a sea of blood and corpses, hung midair as if it was a nightmare.

Crrkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!

In the very next instant, it appeared behind Albus Dumbledore.

The Headmaster was still looking at Voldemort, who was looking back at him, both locked in space. But the way the Dark Lord's mouth suddenly twitched, Dumbledore knew death had come to lay claim upon him this time.

Suddenly, the Elder Wand twitched by itself, creating a magical shield behind him.

The Obscurus bombarded it like a train.

Boommmmmmm!!

Booms rang out across the sky as the violent, parasitic force tried to penetrate the barrier, but failed. No matter how much it tried, it just couldn't shatter the shield and rip the thing hiding behind it to pieces.

So, it stopped.

Dumbledore's heart skipped a beat.

Behind him, the Obscurus stopped churning like a turbulent force. Instead, it began rotating like a spherical ball, picking up speed with every passing moment. It was as if some giant being was holding a spherical mass of force in his palm, somehow making it spin faster and faster in multiple directions.

Timeline Resonance…

Then, the spherical ball of parasitic force pulled back, like pulling back the hand, and lunged at the magical shield.

This time when it made contact with the barrier, it ripped it apart, shredding it into pieces, before slamming right into Albus Dumbledore.

… Obscurus Rasengan!

BOOM!

Whatever was left of the old wizard, got fired like a missile across space and landed on the ground with a muffled thud.

Time to Timeline Detonation - 50 seconds…

Crrkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!
