After finishing their meal, Arthur leaned back in his chair, watching Charlotte with a fond expression.
She looked content and cheerful.
He decided it was the perfect moment.
"You slept too quickly yesterday," he began, his tone playful, "that I didn't even have the chance to show you the main gift."
Charlotte blinked, tilting her head. "Main gift?" she asked curiously.
Arthur grinned. "That bag in the corner. I noticed you've been glancing at it."
Her eyes sparkled with excitement. "I have! Ever since I woke up, I've been staring at it. The gift's in there, isn't it?"
Arthur nodded, his smile widening. "Indeed."
He got up, walking to the bag. Picking it up, he carried it over and placed it on the floor in front of her. "Close your eyes," he said with a smile.
Charlotte giggled but listened, her hands resting on her lap.
"Alright, they're closed!" she chirped, her voice filled with anticipation.
