Chapter twenty four.

Elena look at Kalen, "since we have found the culprit, what do you think should be done?"

"I think the main victim should be the one to decide." Kalen replied.

"Then she should be taken to jail and punished. Officers, what are you waiting for?" Anna had already considered herself the victim, and since she wanted to retain her image and look good, she continued, "the waitress is innocent, she only did it to protect her family, I would also do the same if I was in her shoes," she took out a few bank notes and placed it in the hands of the waitress.

Before the she could refuse Elena chimed in, "don't you think a few hundred dollars is too little for someone who has gone through what she has?"

"I also think so, you are rich, your fiancé rich, you can afford a few hundred thousands," Rita was enjoying it. Anna had no choice, she signed a cheque and told the girl to fill in the amount she wants.

"Give me that, let me fill it for you," Elena took it and filled in one point five million dollars, "that's one point five million dollars, I heard you are the one taking care of your family, and after this, no one will want to hire you, so use this opportunity well if you are wise." She was so loud that everyone heard what she said and no one could refute her words because it was true. Anna clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, Elena had started getting on her nerves.

"You are not the main victim, I meant Elena should be the one to decide the punishment because she was falsely accused," she paused and insinuated the last words, "by you."

"There is no need, I don't hold grudges." Elena said nonchalantly. Rita chocked at the wine that she was holding, she could not imagine what she heard Elena saying. 'That girl holds grudges to her grave!' she thought.

Ace laughed menacingly," Bro, she just killed to birds with one stone!"

Jace had to agree with what Ace said, that move that the girl pulled was very ruthless, he took out his phone, " Chris, I will send you an image, you know what to do."

"Yes boss." came the reply.

"Looks like someone has caught your eye," 

They both turned to look at where the voice came from, only to see Damian and his assistant." I didn't know you are the type to hold meetings in this environment."

"I had no choice, but it was useless in the end," 

Jace became interested, seeing the expression on Damian's face was priceless, "what happened?" Ace was also curious.

"I was told that the owner will be here, she has been evading a meeting with me, and now when I thought I would meet her, her assistant showed," he was completely irritated, he didn't know why he was so interested in a mysterious person. If she doesn't want to attend, it will be her loss, or so he thought.

"The woman never run losses and you know that," Jace cut short his thoughts, it was as if he knew what Damian was thinking.

"Your fiancée jumped into a frying pan today," Ace decided to change the topic. Without waiting for Damian to ask what had happened, because he knew he wouldn't ask, he decided to say it, "there is very beautiful lady with a phoenix eyes, a rare beauty," as he spoke, he tried to look around, "she has already left, you just missed one of the rarest beauty I have ever seen."

"Damian is never interested in such stupid stuff," Jace said, little did he know that Damian's interest was already sparked. The term phoenix eyes came to his mind and the only thought that remained in his brains, was his Jane Doe.

"Did you say phoenix eyes?" He asked.

"Yes, I haven't seen anyone with such alluring eyes and domineering aura, her presence commands attention from wherever she is." Ace explained, he was already daydreaming, "wait, do you know her?"

The moment Damian heard his description, he lost interest, the girl he had known was not domineering, one could only describe her as mysterious. She seemed honest and kind from the letters she had given him. "No."

Ace did not press further, "you can watch the live show. Everything has been recorded."

"I am not interested," he curtly replied.

"You will have to, your sister was also implicated." 

Ever since Damian saw Anna's character at the hotel the other day, he knew she had been hiding her true colors in front of him. Even though he wants to act stupid and not care, he can't help but wonder if everything that came from Anna's mouth was true or false. "She will clear it on her own."
