Mr Kim

Landing in his hometown, Mr Jeon and Ashley went to the hotel to get a quick fresh up and have breakfast. It was a quick breakfast as they discussed the meeting that will be held with Kim.

"Shall we?" Mr Jeon said as he stared at her figure who was wiping out her fingers. "Sure, Sir. Let's go. Perfect time," Ashley said as she stared at her wristwatch one last time.

Entering the meeting room, Mr Jeon went inside first, followed by Ashley two steps behind. She was like she was already waiting for it, she knew it would be coming up.

"Mr Jeon, nice to meet you and-," Mr Kim hugged him but stopped his words when his eyes fell on Ashley behind him. "Um," Mr Kim moved back in perplexity as he couldn't form any words after seeing her.

"Who is she?" Mr Kim questioned, and Mr Jeon turned back at her. "Oh, this is my secretary, Ms Song Ashley," Mr Jeon said pretty calmly and she threw a faint smile at Mr Kim, bowing a little.

"That's great, well, yeah. Uhm, let's go for it?" Mr Kim glanced at both of them. "Yeah, sure," Mr Jeon said, walking towards the huge round table. Ashley sat next to Mr Jeon and there were only 7 people.

"Good morning, gentlemen," Ashley started and their eyes pierced into hers. The meeting went well, there were other company officers too. They were joining hands for this project.

"That's great. Meet resumes after lunch," Mr Kim said and everyone nodded their head, getting up from their seats. Bowing to everyone, Ashley and Mr Jeon walked out of the meeting room.

"Ms Ashley," a voice behind her, made her turn around. She saw Mr Kim standing over there. "Yes, Mr Kim?" Mr Jeon questioned, but Mr Kim just shook his head no. Ashley breathed in heavily before walking past Mr Jeon, standing in front of Mr Kim.

"Yes, Mr Kim Namjoon?" Ashley said, flashing a dirty smirk at Mr Kim, who was standing there in bewilderment. "Can I talk to you for a second?" He said and Mr Jeon stared at both of them in confusion. Mr Jeon walked towards Ashley, standing next to her, and she could see him in the corner of her eye.

"Sorry, Sir. I'm here for Mr Jeon's business and you can talk about anything related to that, only in his presence," Ashley said with a real calm tone, whilst her stomach was burning like a volcano. "Mr Kim?" Mr Jeon turned to him. Mr Kim rolled his eyes and backed off. "It's okay, you guys can carry on. We will meet after lunch," Mr Kim said, turning his heels, and walking away.

Ashley sighed heavily before turning to Mr Jeon. "I'm really sorry about that, Sir. Let's go," She flashed a smile at him. "Ms Ashley, may I know what just happened?" Mr Jeon raised his eyebrow, staring at her. "Sure, I will let you know, Sir. But after the meeting. It is really more important than anything," Ashley said, showing her pleading puppy face.

Mr Jeon just nodded, making her sigh heavily. Ashley excused herself to use the washroom.

Ashley was washing her hands and that was when the mirror reflected Mr Kim standing behind her. She didn't turn back to him as she wiped her hands, seeing his reflection. "Can we talk now?" he asked, while she shook her head, turning back to him, leaning her back.

"Seriously? You chased me all the way here, Mr Kim?" She said, and he rolled his eyes at the last word. "It's your Joon, not some Kim Namjoon, understand?" he says, coming close to her. "Oh, when did you become mine, first of all? And stand right there." She said, showing her palm, stopping his actions.

"Don't regret your words," he said and she just smirked. "I regretted everything once I thought what was mine," she said, walking past him but he grabbed her wrist. "I'm still talking," he said, but she was trying to free her hand off him. "Then leave my hand and talk," Ashley said and he yanked her hand, making her rub her wrist.

"Still this deal is in my hands, sweetheart. Don't make this a huge failure for Mr Jeon, because of your stupid mistake. Companies are waiting for such opportunities," Mr Kim said whilst she stared at him, more like a death glare.

"Do what you want," Ashley said before coming out of the washroom while he yelled her name. But she ignored it as she doesn't wanna create any hassle there. She let him know that she was fine and good without him in her life and she did that.

"Okay, gentlemen. I'm happy meeting everyone," Mr Jeon said, giving handshakes to everyone. Ashley stood there smiling a little. They both came out of the place while Namjoon was clenching his jaw. He was super angry with her behaviour.

Ashley and Mr Jeon were having coffee before their journey. Even though the meeting had gone well, Mr Jeon's mind was messed up with a few unanswered questions. Sipping his drink, he stared at her. "Ms Ashley," he said, and she raised her eyes, "Yes, Sir,"

"Um, about Mr Kim," he started and she sighed heavily but let out a chuckle, staring down. "Mr Kim Namjoon. He is my ex," she said and his breath hitched at her words. "Your what?" He questioned, keeping the cup on the table.

"He is my ex. 4 years ago. We met in a meeting like this since he had a collab with Hwang. Everything was going well but seemed like he got interested in Hwang's daughter. So yeah, I broke up with him." she said as she smiled like those words didn't after her heart even one per cent. Mr Jeon never left her eyes.

"I promised myself then. I shouldn't be in a relationship with someone who is of higher standards. They don't like to express to others that they are dating some girl in their office," She said but Mr Jeon was clenching his fist unknowingly. "That's it, Sir. No more regrets now" She smiled, sipping her drink.

"Not everyone would think the same, right?" He said and she widened her eyes. "Of course, I shouldn't judge anyone just because I met the wrong person in my life. You are right, too, Sir," She smiled, making him nod. "I just don't want to be a second choice to anyone," she mumbled while he clearly heard.

He gulped down the drink as his throat was going dry with her words. He doesn't know what to say. Ashley looked around as he was gazing at her intensely. She was trying not to stare at him but it was too difficult. "Sir, it's time," she said as she scheduled the return time for both of them. He nodded before getting up.
