Not caring about others thoughts, Xu Long Wei, left the boardroom and walk straight to his office. After Yang Jun utters Vera's name, his mind went blank. It has been so long since he heard someone say Vera's name. Unless he is speaking to his son, he avoided mentioning her name or anything related to her. It brings back memories he tried to bury for the past years.

He still remembers the time he found out that she vanished, living their son in the hospital alone. If the hospital didn't call him, he wouldn't know that she has given birth. It was fortunate that he was registered as the father and they contacted him a soon as they realize that she is gone.

He was left desperate, alone with a baby in hand and the woman he loves disappear for no reason. He knows deep in his mind that something might have happened to her. She is not a simple person after all.

A month after her disappearance, he has to change the course of his life drastically. He has to provide for his son and find her at the same time. He went back to Country X and fulfilled his role as the heir of the Xu family. It was the darkest time of his life, and now someone is calling him saying that she is Vera. A strong desire for the woman's identity to be Vera is slowly creeping in his heart. Not just for him but his son's sake. Thinking about his son makes him move faster.

Yang Jun, on the other hand, chased but failed to follow his boss's pace. The man walks so fast! With his shorter legs compared to his boss, he is totally left behind. The distance is far too great!

The two men reach the office in a short time, and Yang Jun hold his breath while easing the pain in his leg and ego.

"Boss, the woman said that she would call you back around 3 pm". Yang Jun supply.

Xu Long Wei seems not to care as he swiftly moves to his desk and opens his drawer. He opens the phone, checked the caller's number. It looks to be from overseas. From where exactly, he has no idea for now.

"Contact the tech department and find out where this number from. I want this information in 30 minutes."

"Yes, President" Yang Jun hurriedly left to do his job while Long Wei remains in his office.

Thirty minutes later, he came back with all the information he needed.

"President, the number is from the local deli in town XX of Russia. Upon further investigation, the family who owns it never had any bad record, and the lone deli is very popular to the locals."

"I am not certain if someone just borrowed their phone to contact you or the woman is living in this deli." He added, seeing the man is entirely silent.

"I see, let's wait until 3 pm and see if she will call again. You may leave now." He focusses himself on the report, but his heart can't wait any longer. The time passes by, and it was the longest day for Xu Long Wei's life.

A loud ring from his phone interrupted his thoughts. He carelessly opens the drawer and pulled out an old phone that he had been using for ten years. Even after coming back to Country X, he made sure that the number is still active. Throughout the years, many types of phones were released on the market, but he never discards this one. It is a gift he receives from Vera, and he can't afford to dispose of it. He thought that this is the only way for Vera to contact him when she comes back. He holds hope she is on the line right now.

With a trembling hand, he answered the call.

"Hello?" his voice choked up, but he can't control himself.

"Darling…."

The world stands still after Xu Long Wei heard the gentle yet tired voice of a woman. He could not hear anything, and his heart is beating so fast. Without knowing, his tears fell, and with a shaking voice, he said. "My Love, you are back?"
