After spending two more hours at the hospital, I finally decided it was time to go home. It wasn't my wish to leave Aaron alone at the hospital, but at the same time I couldn't leave Olivia at home, especially not in her traumatized condition. I tried to call our parents, but Aaron insisted that I do not get them involved for obvious reasons. The last thing we wanted was for them to get tangled up in all of this madness, and I had to agree with him.
I had done my best to overlook the accusations laid on Aaron for the meantime, and now a part of me was beginning to think he might actually be innocent. Either that or he genuinely had no recollection of trying to assault Olivia. Aaron had his dark side, but looking back now, I really couldn't believe that he would try to take advantage of his best friend.
