Chapter 43 - Hidden Village Fight 2

At first I wasn't planning to do this chapter and just skip but it would be unfair for Himari since I made Shushu, so I'll add it but feel free to skip it if you read the manga. I'll add changes when we get into the Azuma Arc.

The only reason why it's the same is because Himari hasn't mastered the martial art taught by Yuuki. I won't spoil what style it is but it's from God of highschool.

Also the subspace that Yuuki uses for training is not for everyone and doesn't yet trust them to use it. He can't reveal everything this early can he?

During the fight of Sahara and Shushu, the Azuma sisters were facing their own battle as they stared down and observed their opponent before preparing to fight it.

"Even if you did great at the interunit matches, you're still green, Himari. Don't try the impossible and follow your great sister's orders."(Yachiho)

"Okay, okay!"(Himari)

Her hand glowed having a cinculae symbol on the back of her hand as it transform into a Gatling gun

"Make swiss cheese on them!"(Yachiho)

Himari then began firing her gun towards the lanky Shuuki named akura who grabbed his spear and spunt with high speed that blocked the bullets, surprising Himari.

"How clever!"(Yachiho)

It proceeded to grab a bow and shoot an arrow towards them. Himari slightly panics at the result of her initial attack while her sister quickly reassures her that things were fine.

"Oh no-"(Himari)

"Leave the rest to me!"(Yachiho)

She then used her ability of [Golden Hour ] stopping time for five seconds and quickly rushed towards Akura and pulled out a gun pointing it into the head of Akura.

"That was a nice spearmanship"(Yachiho)

Yachiho fired her gun killing Akura yet it managed to slash at her destroying her uniform showing half of her body naked before it died.

"You struggle a lot…"(Yachiho)

Her attention then turned to see Himari and made her eyes go wide and saw her sister being choked by a shuuki while blocking an attack from Naon.

"Ka- Hah…"(Himari)

"Himariiiii!!!"(Yachiho)

Upon seeing this, she didn't hesitate to reverse time to the moment when Himari was firing her arm Gatling gun at the shuuki as Yachiho searched around to find their enemy.

"Himari! There are shuuki hidden behind us!."(Yachiho)

"Huh?"(Himari)

Naon peeked behind them hearing Yachiho and immediately made her ponder.

'How did she know?'(Naon)

Naon's ability is [Hitori Shizuka, Hidden beauty] She can hide within objects. She can hide within anything, but things that move are a lot more difficult. Himari started firing behind her as Shuuki rose from the ground .

"How repulsive of you to come from behind!"(Himari)

Yachiho began to feel the toll of her overusing her ability and wiped her sweat. However, she didn't let it stop her from using her ability and stopped time allowing her to search for the enemy

'How troublesome. Where is the humanoid shuuki!? She's not around! So my warning to himari put her on alert!' (Yachiho)

The older Azuma then saw an arrow heading towards her little sister and became angry. Even if she have hard time showing it doesn't mean she doesn't care and love her sister.

'These bastards are all after Himari' (Yachiho)

She immediately went to Himari and grabbed her by the collar before pulling her away from the arrow where time resumed and it barely missed her and caused Himari to look at her sister dumbstruck.

"Yachiho! Is this…" (Himari)

"Quiet! Just stay behind me, okay?"(Yachiho)

Yachiho was becoming more exhausted while Himari became worried for her sister. The older Azuma turned to Akura and out of nowhere sensed an incoming from behind as Naon appeared with a sword in hand and slash at Yachiho.

'kh...! I can't use my power faster than I already was!' (Yachiho)

However before it hit her, Himari appeared and block the attack by turning her hand into a shield then held a handgun from her other hand before shooting Naon who shocked and quickly blocked the bullet using her cloak and jumped away. Himari stared at Naon as she got in front of her sister protecting her and said.

"From your sweat, I can tell how much you've been protecting me."

Yachiho was struggling and donating heavily as Himari reverted his hand back to normal before turning it back into a Minigun and said.

"Now it's my turn! Even a little sister can protect her older sister!"(Himari)

She declared while Yachiho was trying to catch her breath looking at her sister confronting their opponent.

"I'll defeat you!"

Naon stared at Himari only for her to get distracted and shoot at the incoming arrow shot by Akura and once she was done turned back only to see Naon vanish from her spot.

"She's gone!?"(Himari)

"She dove down into the ground." (Yachiho)

Listing to her sister shot the ground multiple times and stopped when nothing had happened

"Doesn't look like I hit anything."(Himari)

"It seems like she can move after diving"(Yachiho)

She then turned back to Akura who stop it's assault and went down at the side of the platform they were. Himari was visibly frustrated at the fight and said.

"This might be the first time I've seen shuuki coordination this much...!"(Himari)

"It's good at finding opportunities. What a pain."(Yachiho)

She then catches her breath and stands back up gaining some of her strength that is enough to use her ability once again.

"I'm back on my feet, so I can use my ability again."(Yachiho)

"I'll bring them out of their covers!."(Himari)

"You won't hit them by just shooting anywhere. Forget that, I just had a great idea! Stick close to me!"(Yachiho)

Himari was confused what she was planning and end up doing something ridiculous where the two had their back against each other.

"This is the Azuma circular formation! Its defense is perfect!"(Yachiho)

She announces while Himari didn't agree with her idea as her sister was thinking about her plan.

'If we move somewhere and she makes a surprise attack, there's a chance she could defeat us before I strike a pose, but if we stay still and wait, we will definitely be able to react to her! We'll use our abilities and end this!'(Yachiho)

Having noticed a gap and immediately tried to get her sister to get closer, that made Himari even more confused.

"Come even closer! We can't leave any gaps!"(Yachiho)

"This plan has a flaw."(Himari)

"What did you say?

"It'd be really bad if the enemy ignored us and went to the chiefs! We have to move!"(Himari)

"Your great sister can't use her power much more. We can't make careless moves."(Yachiho)

"I have a plan. I have a great attack I haven't revealed!"(Himari)

Yachiho was visibly surprised hearing her sister and was curious what it could be.

"It'll be my first time using it in an actual battle, but if it works, we can win!"(Himari)

Her older sister paused for moment listening to Himari then asked.

"Can you actually go through with that attack? You need to have will power for it. Remember how you pushed yourself so much once that you got sick from the tension?"

She recalled the time her sister was bedridden because of how much she push herself and was afraid that it could happen again.

'You look strong but you're actually pretty sensitive... You'll get hurt again'(Yachiho)

She thought herself always tried to keep her sister away from physical harm and abuse, only teasing her every time.

"That's no longer me. I'm different now."

Yachiho was caught by surprise that her sister didn't budge the least and kept her head high without any fear. She seems to have matured and grown from the last time she saw her.

"The Chief says that in a body forged through training, lies a strong spirit! After the interunit matches, I took on a special regimen, and evolved even further! Yuuki said the same and told me that "We evolve beyond the person that we were a minute before. Little by little, we advance a bit further with each turn! Like a drill."(Himari)

Having quoted gurren lagann, Himari embodies these words and didn't want to stop growing because of fear. She will face them head on from now on and prove that she was worthy to be by Yuuki's side which was harder than being acknowledged by the Azuma.

'Yuuki has been helping me grow. I can't lose. Even though I can't use that martial art in this fight, I can still use that instead. ' (Himari)

"How very unit seven like…"(Yachiho)

"And I also won against you in the interunit matches "(Himari)

Yachiho flinched hearing her sister and even though Yuuki assisted her it was still part of her power like summoning a familiar. Yuuki did mention that the amount of power he can exert in his slave form is dependent on the master.

"That's the best confidence boost I got. So let me do it, Yachiho!"(Himari)

Her older sister then smiled looking proud at Himari who became more confident and acted like a proper Azuma.

"If you're that confident then give it a try."(Yachiho)

Himari reverted her hand back to normal before removing her hair tie and started to focus controlling her mind and breath to relax her senses while also heightening them.

'Even if I shoot at random, I will not hit them.'(Himari)

It was then her hair began to turn into a gun and continued to think.

'But what if I shoot this much at random?'(Himari)

When her entire haired turned into an omnidirectional gun immediately shot at random direction

"Full blast!!"

The bullet exploded upon impact and destroyed a large part of the cave. The force was powerful enough to share the whole place showing the growth that Himari receive.

"Uwah!"(Naon)

Naon then began to fall from the cieling as they all tried to look at her.

"Found her!"(Himari)

*Even though you're still here... Are you planning on bringing this cave down?"(Naon)

"Not at all!"(Yachiho)

She then struck a pose using her [ Golden Hour ] before reversing ten seconds to the moment where Himari was about to remove her hair tie and was stopped by Yachiho and looked at her.

"The plan worked, it was splendid, Himari"(Yachiho)

Hearing that her plan had worked smiled and said.

"Yeah!"(Himari)

"She's to your right, at a 45 degree angle upwards!"(Yachiho)

Himari did as her sister had told and shot at the fire tion she was pointing and managed to shoot Naon who spat out blood.

"Well done, Himari! I'll give you my thanks once we go home!"(Yachiho)

"I'm not going back there, but thanks!"(Himari)

They forearm bump as Naon fall to the ground and laid there struggling to stand back up.

"kh…"(Naon)

Akura appeared from the ground and was about to shoot them with it's bow but Yachiho pointed her gun.

"Bow down before the Azumas!"(Yachiho)

She stopped time and shot Akura in those moment causing the shuuki to fall to ground close to Naon.

"...Akura!"(Naon)

"I'll ask you again. Will you talk to us?"(Himari)

'I have to regroup with Aoba…'(Naon)

Meanwhile after their fight, Shushu was fighting an enormous Shuuki using her staff and easily defeated it while Sahara hit on her breast as she cheered Shushu and recharge her ability.

"Fiiiight!"(Sahara)

"They keep coming!"(Shushu)

She then looked down as Koko and Kuma began to regenerate from her wound and said.

"heh... So you noticed it"(Koko)

"So that black thing...Was your bare skin."(Shushu)

"Not that. I'm regenerating. And so is Kuma!"(Koko)

"I don't think I'll lose to someone I beat once!"(Shushu)

She began to defeat the rest of the shuuki while Koko clicked her tongue and thought.

'No choice... I gotta go back, to Aoba-nee'(Koko)
