Chapter 1

The day before the wedding, Almira's future husband came to her house to cancel their marriage unilaterally. The man named Agya admitted that he could no longer continue his relationship with his lover to the level of marriage.

"Agya? How come you came here?" Almira asked her future husband with a faint smile. She was confused to see her future husband who suddenly came to see her. There should be no scheduled meeting today.

"There's something I want to tell you." Agya looked at Almira's face very seriously.

Almira frowned, she felt bad because her future husband's face looked so very serious. "What did you say?" asked Almira while looking at Agya.

It seems that Agya only wants to talk alone with Almira. "Can we talk privately?" Agya asked, pulling Kinaya's hand.

Almira nodded, she also invited her future husband to the back of the house. "What do you want to talk about?" Almira kept looking at Agya's eyes while trying to hide her worry.

The place is quite open and a lot of people are seen passing by. They were all busy preparing the wedding party for tomorrow morning. "How are you?" asked Agya casually.

"Okay, why do you ask that miss?" tease Almira.

These days they rarely see each other because they are busy with their respective affairs.

Agya just smirked hearing what Almira asked. "Mir," Agya called, lowering her head. Almira stared intently at Agya's eyes while furrowing her brows. "Yeah, what's wrong?" asked Almira who started to panic a little.

Agya looked at Almira's face with a flat expression. "I want to apologize." Agya looked at Almira's eyes which seemed to be starting to glaze over.

Almira looks surprised by the attitude of Agya, her future husband. "Why? I'm fine. I understand you must be busy, right? That's why you can't prepare for our wedding tomorrow." Almira is still trying to stay positive even though she feels very bad.

"Not that!" Agya exclaimed, her tongue numb she was confused about where to start the conversation.

While furrowing his brows. "Then what do you want to say?" Almira is now getting restless. Now she was sure that her future husband would bring bad news.

Agya swallowed and caught her breath before she finally spoke to Almira. Seeing her future husband act like that made Almira even more anxious. "I know that during courtship I have often troubled you, spoiled, often even scolded you, for that, I apologize. But please don't take all of that into consideration, because our wedding day will be tomorrow." Almira spoke in a low voice and tried to remain calm even though her heart was beating fast.

Almira can see the doubts on her future husband's face, she is afraid that Agya will cancel their marriage. His chest began to beat fast.

"That's not the case." Agya stares at Almira's beautiful face

While staring intently at Agya's eyes. "So what?" Now that his heart was gone, cold sweat started to wet his palms.

She fell silent and closed her eyes. "I want to cancel our wedding," Agya said with a flat face.

Shock!

Almira immediately collapsed and limped. Her heart aches and hurts to hear what her future husband has to say. "You're not kidding, are you!" Almira exclaimed while looking straight into Agya's eyes.

Even though her mouth spoke like that her heart could not lie, Almira's heart was beating so fast, she was so anxious waiting for her future husband's answer. "Hopefully what Agya said is a lie," Almira thought, now her eyes were starting to glaze over.

"I'm serious Mir! My parents were very against our relationship and also there are some reasons that I can't tell you. Why do I want to cancel our marriage."

Almira's whole body felt weak. "Agya, tomorrow is our wedding day. Tomorrow is the day we have been waiting for a long time, wedding invitations have also been spread," groaned Almira in a trembling voice.

Meanwhile, Agya could only be silent as she watched Almira bow down languidly hearing what she said. Almira's tears rolled down her cheeks. "You are going too far. You easily broke our long-standing relationship!" Almira exclaimed while wiping the tears that had started to flow out of her eyes.

"I apologize to you."

Almira's mind went blank. This fact made him feel very sad. Hopes of starting a household with a man who had been with her for quite a long time were dashed. Instantly Almira's eyes darkened and she was unconscious.

"Mir?" Agya was surprised to see Almira lying on the floor after hearing what she said.

Agya immediately picked up and brought Almira into the house, Agya looked panicked seeing Almira's condition.

"Mas Agya, why is the bride-to-be? How come she fainted?" ask the people who are helping to prepare the wedding reception at Almira's house.

Agya did not answer what people asked, she immediately took Agya to her room.

After arriving at Almira's room, Agya immediately laid Almira's body on the bed, meanwhile, Medina, Almira's younger sister panicked seeing her sister lying weakly on the bed she immediately called her mother to inform Kinaya's condition.

"Mommy, Sis Almira fainted." Medina immediately informed his mother.

Mommy Alda panicked she immediately went into the room, Mommy Alda panicked and wondered why her child could faint, she was also surprised by Agya's presence.

Mommy Alda immediately asked why her son could faint to Agya. "Agya, why did Almira faint like this, and why are you here? Tomorrow you will be getting married soon, right?" asked Mommy Alda who was so surprised to see the condition of her eldest daughter lying weakly on the bed.

Agya immediately explained why he came here and why Almira could fall unconscious, he admitted that he could no longer continue his relationship with Almira to a more serious level, and Agya apologized to Almira's biological mother, Mommy Alda. Not to forget Agya also apologized to Medina and all members of the Almira family.

"What did you say? You broke my son's heart so easily!" Mommy Alda was immediately furious.

Agya was speechless and she could only bow silently in front of Mommy Alda and all members of the Almira family.

A hard slap landed on Agya's right cheek. "You are outrageous!" Mommy Alda's tone is now getting higher.

His eyes are glassy. "You evil man, have no feelings! Just so you know, you hurt Almira's heart, it means you hurt our hearts, her family! One month ago you came here to us to ask for your blessing, at first we didn't approve of your relationship but Almira insisted and convince us that you deserve to be her husband, Almira every day always convinces us that you are a good man. But it turns out that now it's easy for you to cancel this marriage!" continued Mommy Alda while crying.
