With every second that passed as Ash flew into the portal, cold desperation continued to embrace her heart. It wasn't just Kaori she was worried about now, but Keiko and the others who were now having to contend with another wave of demons. Knowing that Ash tried to pierce the air faster, in hopes that nothing would go wrong while she was away.

The portal took her to a different version of Onyx. She could tell by the Grey Chamber, which she could see from her spot in the sky. The walls on the southern side, from which the demons had entered during the siege, looked completely unharmed. From the Grey Chamber, three thick beams were launching out into the sky.

Knowing where the pyramids holding this portal up were, Ash quickly flew toward them.

In the middle of that flight, a voice reached out.

"Here we are again. How have you been, Champion?" Niven asked.
