Reunion Part 50

NOAH P. O. V

He was about to go pick up his mate from writing his final exam for the semester. He prepared a surprise for him and his surprise involved them traveling. His nephew is going to spend time with his grandparents and Noah felt exited. His hates that Xander loves him more when the little brat is not around and that little piece of shit knows that because his always around. Mom is happy to have her little bunny home and he was happy that the little bunny is going home, it is a win- win situation.

"Xander."

He waved his adorable puppy dropped his head on his shoulder and he made sure to hug him. He knows he aced the paper because they spent hours going through different types to disease he did not know of but found extremely disturbing, it had to be his surprise causing that pout.

"Are you ready?"

He asks already anticipating his answer but he still waited for his mate to tell him, this must not be easy for him. Noah would have protected him from his past and his family but he has another motive for going there, the motive a drive to reassure his mate that he is not at all terrified of his troubles.

"No. But let's go."

Xander figure out his surprise while it was still in the planning process. He was finally going to see his mother for the first time after she cut him off.

"How was the 'crowning' ceremony?"

"It was fine, Jayden is lucky he is done. Love, I did not want this level of responsibility."

He pout and his mates face fell in concern, he is the one that encouraged him to be the head of the engineering faculty. Jayden is graduating soon and a replacement was needed, for some reason everyone wanted him to lead that stable.

"Why?"

"These two years I have ahead of me are the last years of my youthful life with minimum responsibilities. Soon I will become pack alpha and take over the family business. I just wanted theses years of my freedom first."

His caressed his knee and all he could do is give him a reassuring smile, focusing on the road. His mate did not understand the amounts of pressure all this entails mostly because he was going to follow up after the greatest alpha his ever known. His brother could have run the family business while he becomes alpha but his brother is not into that type of scenery so his useless in this case. That is why he hopes his mate understands that these are the only years he has left before pack reality hits

"Mmm. You can always leave... Whatever you decide, I will be here for you... If that makes you feel better?"

"The fact that you here right now reassures me. I love you."

He squeezed his hand reassuring him in his own adorable way.

"Hand me your pretzels and I will return your sentiments."

He laugh gesturing he can take the clear packet and followed his fated order gladly.

"Open your mouth."

Xander placed a lightly salted pretzel on his tongue. He kept feeding him, not expressing his love through words but affectionate action. When the pretzels stopped coming he turned to see mate's peaceful form.

About forty seven minutes in he heard whimpers. He stopped the car concerned his mate his having a nightmare.

It turns out the whimpers were mumbles he was sleep talking.

"What if ducks are addicted to crack hence the... Crack. Crack. Crack in their wobble..."

Noah laughed out loud and immediately stopped worrying. Xander sleep talks? How has he never heard him? He woke the sleeping man in front of him.

"Mmm... Stop it. I want pineapple pizza..."

Waking him did not work so Noah just shrugged. First he made sure to ensure his mate is comfortable, he then entered the car once more listening to the weird sometimes funny shit coming out of his mouth. This man is seriously random.

"Noah..."

He assumed Xander was awake, he turned to look and respond to his mate but to his surprise he was still greeted by a sleeping yet talking man. *Sigh*.

"I'm scared. Why do we have to go to my demons? A mate bond is not enough for us dummy and mom knows that... Listen to me, please... She will use that... Don't leave me. Please don't leave me to that monster. P-please mate."

What does he mean by that? Why is he so scared to face the woman that raised him? And why would she try separate a fated from their mate? What dared scared the alphas omega of the BlueMoon pack (Queen role)? Why is he scared? My baby does not deserve to shed a single tear for his last pack.

They abandoned him the moment they chose not to support their son. His fated roamed the Earth for countless years trying to make it on his own and deep down Noah knows he would have succeeded but would have been content alone. The moment he found Xander was the moment he knew he was not looking for anything but managed to stumble upon the greatest gift fates ever given him, a soul tie. He wanted to ensure Xander thrived without constraints and his going to be by his side the entire time, unlike his mother he knows the precious gift he has by his side. Even his pack welcomed their future alphas omega (queen role), knowing now that their pack will be stronger, unified since the future alpha is at peace.

"Aww. Noah. When did you turn into a kitty? Awe. You look so adorable!"

Surprised and taken aback Noah laughed. That was that was the most random and most irritating thus far.

"Little Noah."

He frowned. In what universe can he be characterized as little?

XANDER'S P. O. V

He woke up due to the bumps and uneven roads. He could feel it with in every bump, he was close to his personal hell.

"How long was I out?"

Noah smirked and briefly faced him.

"Three hours. You a heavy sleeper. It was entertaining in the very at least, listening to what you had to say."

To say? What the hell is he talking about? He did not talk while sleeping, right? Because that only happens when his worries take up the space of his dreams. No it can't be that. Xander sat back laughing it off, he sat up and faced the open road.

"What did I say?"

"Don't worry I will not justify most of what you said with a response... I still love you even after today...."

"Tell me… Common talk."

"No."

"Please... Can my strong mate tell me what I said?"

"Now I'm strong? You have been calling me a kitten for the past three hour ride. Me, a wolf. Me, an alpha. Me, a king. Today I am compared to a cat, feline a bottom feeder."

He covers his cheeks because at that moment he knew his cheeks kiss him with pink. Xander flushed and laughed grateful he said nothing embarrassing.

"Maybe I love cats?"

"Do I look like a feline, mate?"

"No. But you do not have to… I love you already… You are my big dog."

"That is more like it. Now let us go back to the other things you said..."

Embarrassed Xander heard him list his offenses and he laughed. His anxiety hid the fact he sleep talk when his nervous lighten the mood for him later. He could tell Noah was not mad just flabbergasted. For like a good thirty minutes of why Noah should be offended and Xander laughing at his dramatic notions until they arrived. The moment he saw the haunted house his smile faded. Haunted because his demons tormented him when he lived there, his innocence murdered in fact that is when his fears and insecurities originated.

"Are you sure about this?"

"No. But we took a long trip for this, so..."

He got out the car, walked around to his fated mates side opened the door. Noah pulled him closer shutting the door, facing him dead on.

"Listen here. You do not have to do this. You never have to do what you don't want to do."

His cheeks and tears burned with nothing but love at his luck. After everything he has been through he still found someone who loves him despite it all, his happy that his mate found him.

"I have my mate here and his my big bad wolf."

He steeled his declaration with a passionate kiss and they stepped out the car, together.

"How can I continue when you sound so fucking hot?"

Noah pulled him back to his warmth and all he could do was laugh at his antics but he did stop thing before they escalated.

"Later… Let us first get this over and done with."

THIRD P. O. V

"Mother who is the guy his Xander is with?"

"Do not call me mother. Especially not after what you did to him. Move. My son is here to visit me."

"Son it's been a while. How I have missed you."

Parker saw how Xander stiffened when his mother hugged him, perhaps he was still angry about the past but that should be impossible he should have forgotten by now. Xander got more beautiful, his no longer that geeky boy obsessed with Star Wars or was it Star Trek? He looks to be more mature, his hair a tad longer than it was before and his skin is more radiant as his smile when he spoke to that bustard. How pink and plump his lips look from afar, he can just imagine how they would look up close. He realized that he missed him.

Parker actually begged, sucked up to Xander's mother making solid arguments. He has already been with Xander and he wants to continue being with Xander because despite what everybody thinks he loves the kid. He argued that no alpha would want him due to the simple fact after their relationship Xander was more closed off and resentful but today he shows up with an annoying alpha. All his mother wants is for Xander to get married so at a desperate attempt he told her that he was willing to be his husband and that's how he got his mother to agree. They finally they gave Xander and ultimatum although Xander does not look like he came to accept his proposal and his assumption is motivated by the fact that he kissed him. How could he be so angry about what happened years ago? Yeah, he should have not forced him but in his defence alcohol especially the type he consumed played a major in decision making.

"Mother. This is Noah, my mate and alpha. Noah this is my mother, Beth."

Mate. Outrageous. Impossible. How dare this undisciplined prick, pick someone else bring him here to pack land another territory? Mother will definitely disapprove of this madness, Xander was supposed to return crawling back to the pack he severed ties with. Instead he came back looking beautiful in the arms of another, mated and happy.

"My baby boy. Did you mate because of I choice I gave you?"

"No. I found my fated, my soul mate. When you cut me off, I guess I have to admit your choice played a very small factor. I did not want to return to this pack, so the man you see before you understood and stood by me. Mostly my choice is because, Noah trusts me, loved me at my lowest and took care of me when I was stranded. You cutting me of showed me that he can be and is a good mate. So I have to thank you."

Beth hugged her son happy her son found his fated, she then searched his fingers and got disappointed when she saw nothing there. Her beautiful son cannot go through what she went through, being cast one side while her fated left her.

"No honey. Parker is inside the house and he wants to marry you... Honey are you fine? You know I just want the best you, this family our pack."

Xander froze the blood drained from his face and instead of looking where he felt Parkers dark energy loitering and he shuddered in, instinctively moved closer to his mate.

"With all due respect, I do not appreciate plans being made here regarding my mate. He is mine."

Noah brought him closer to his side and Xander sunk into his embrace, if that bustard is here he might as well know that his better off now.

"Well then let me make it clear for you... you are in foreign territory the Decent Moon pack consider the mate bond as a process-"

"Mother."

"Parker is the best choice for you."

"No! He is not mom. I found my happiness, can you not just accept that? Noah never once hurt me, he loves me and claimed me. It is my decision at the end of the day who I chose to be with, since I am the only one that knows what is best for me and the only person who went through what I went through… I know that the best is not here, the best are not the false people that profess their worthless love… Mom the best showed me his actions, the best was chosen by fate and the best has never once made me regret loving him."

NOAH'S P. O. V

His Xander was on the verge of crying and he growled, indeed he was touched by his little man's confession but this was not the time to celebrate their tiny milestones. Xander moved behind him signalling him that he is ready to leave, he was no longer pack and he was delighted because this pack is backwards with its way of thinking.

His not ready to leave. He has one thing that encouraged him to travel this path with his beloved mate apart from supporting him… He came for Xanders's family's blessing but that blessing means nothing if his family rejected him. Of course Noah does not need the blessing, asking is just considered a formality… He already made Xander his mate, him doing all this is to show humans and wolves like this pack that Xander belongs to him. He claimed Xander through the mating bite, he want to make him his with and engagement ring and definitely through marriage. He did not bring Xander to endure critique of his choices and he did not with absolute certainty bring his mate here to cause him more pain. His been through enough for one person's lifetime besides he is here to ensure that this is the last time something like this ever happens again.

"Let's go P-please."

"No son. I missed you. Don't leave me in this state. Last you left mad at everything including me, I hurt. I may have never the best mother but I always tried. Please don't leave yet. Please don't leave me again."

She held onto her son and he slumped his shoulders in response, Godd knows what must be running through his mind.
