Not Jealous Part 14

XANDER'S P. O. V

Things were going great between them (Noah and Xander) or at least he could not argue. Noah kinda made is way to Xander's attention. Perhaps it was vice versa but Xander still had that hint of uncertainty regarding involving himself with an alpha. One day Noah sent him a text during class saying:

<<Hi love. I want to take you out for dinner.>>

He ignored the message, rolling his eyes he organized the table.

"Ah. Leo. Do you see that?"

"Are you not curious Lucas?"

"Indeed I am. Xander your good mood, does it have to do with Toby's best friend? What is his name again?"

"Mmm. Noa. Nay. Navin. Nee-"

"For the last time it is Noah."

"So do you have a thing going with this, Noah?"

"No. I just decided it is easier agreeing to be his friend and only his friend."

He emphasized categorizing ideas on which disease they will fund with the money they collect from various ideas the entire class contributed. He was tasked with choosing on disease that already had a cure or treatment. Although Xander was just tempted to just fund the ongoing research and the scientific data it not just treat cancer but cure it. Chemo served to treat and can cure but it is never guaranteed. That is where advanced technology, compile different drugs that can be used to slow side effects combining them to the super pill. The super pill you drink twice every day for three hundred and sixty- five days. Of course progress will have to be monitored therefore funds will be extensive. Unfortunately if this was to be, it will be something that only a certain group will be able to afford. That is the reason why they have to give funding to an existing disease cure. The government will also fund and the school can use this as a reach to the community since excess to this the treatment or cure will be affordable.

"Shit did you guys read up on psychology? Apparently we writing on chapter one to fifteen tomorrow."

"I hope you started because I sent you a reminder three days ago."

"Sure. I am smart, I am sure I can at least get sixty with my general knowledge but I need to study more to at least pass the average pass mark if sixty five. What about you Xander?"

Xander already knew what was required and more from psychology having he accidentally read the book in his doctors waiting room. Fortunately he found the information interesting he spent the night paging through his notes, his textbooks programming the information into his brain. Therefore even if he was to read the book there would be no point, he remembered every word.

"Yeah, I will go through my notes again tomorrow."

They know about his blessing or a curse. Compared to Lucas and Leo he is average, they understand the knowledge and many would argue he just remembered.

For many years he was despised for having a gift he never asked for. Many found his intelligence as threat while others found ways to prove that he is an actual idiot. Proud of unsolicited, unproven, in efficacious information gathered by those creeping with unwarranted detain. They never saw how hard he worked behind the scenes. His brain took a picture but also he stopped at nothing to ensure that he understood everything. He can remember but he also stopped at nothing to make sure he got the practical just of everything he did.

Intelligence aside he missed the touch of his mother. For the longest time growing up it was just him and his mother, they were inseparable. She always brought him warm milk when he had hard days, a high five on the A's he collected and hug to keep going. He knew then that, although the bullies discredited his name working hard to make her proud and to ease her sadness was his first priority. They never had more than the bare minimum of everything needed, he put in the work and the hours to achieve what he got on his own.

The dreadful day came to pass when he presented as an omega. His mother said nothing to him she just packed her bags and disappeared. Weeks passed and it was evident she was drifting away. Maybe it was his fault? Being an omega would land him pregnant and imprisoned with a man he does not love or will leave him like his father did. His needs and desires would destroy their promise image.

Months before she returned he had already celebrated a birthday, completed two terms and filed whatever bills had to be paid by the order of importance in case his mom returned. The old woman next door provided food to him and he was grateful there are still nice and considerate people out there until she was not (she passed). With the little he had left, he would survive about two weeks before everything fell apart. They had yet to have paid the electric bill, rent, his school fees and if there was no miracle he as a kid can perform (at the time he was a kid so he had no idea what to do). He knew he could not ask for help from his teachers because they would direct him to a social worker and he might miss is mother who will be looking for him.

Thankfully his mom returned, in a serious relationship. He was confused it was just supposed to be the two of them, guess she was not happy with just him anymore. She introduced him to a gentleman named Jun, she got new clothes buying him a few pairs begging him to like the new man stealing her away from him. Slowly. He saw the love in her eyes that is when Xander submitted to fates ruling. Instead of fighting their union, he observed the happy couple. After two months or maybe four of knowing each other they jumped into a lifetime commitment. They got mated. Many where invited to their mating reception, he had no problem with Jun so he just silently observed.

That was before it all side tracked down hill...

No. He cannot be in a relationship, not when his stance fears memories.

"Xander. Man we just kidding dude. There is no need to have that dark look on your face."

Are they still talking about Noah? Maybe. Lucas and Leo knew he has a dark past but thankfully they never made him talk about it.

Directly after his seventeenth birthday he invested his savings in suppressants, to them he was a suspicion at best an anomaly to everyone outside his previous pack.

Xander felt a hand pet him on his back and shivered sending Lucas a cold glare, as his hand moved he came back to the present.

There is nothing he can do about the past but to keep moving. There is another person who manages to clear the storm, his an alpha he should not be getting close with.

"Sorry. I am just tired. I will take my leave. Do not worry about his box I will deliver it and then go sleep."

Leaving his friends opting to clear his mind, he handed the professor the class proposals. Since his car is second hand it had to be taken for repairs so he cabbed there.

LEO'S P. O. V

"Jayden, I swear if you do not let go of my hand I will bite you."

"Promise."

"Agh, what do you want sir?"

"Sir? I love that. Call me that."

"Stop it you horn-dog. I have class in less than twenty minutes."

"I guess I can make due with ten."

Leaving Jayden with a side peck, he managed to escape the possessive good looking man. He attended three classes and since they had two lessons to self- study time.

Xander left and they decided it is best to not overcrowd him afraid he might get too overwhelmed and close off. They did not want him to clam up like he did the first few months they met so they gave him space. They knew something happened to him in the past, although life happened they did not think it best to pressure him to tell them his life story. They gave him time for him to come back to them every time he got triggered. Right now he did not stay, he left and their presence was forgotten. (Meaning there is someone else he feels he will be comforted by).

After give or take thirty minutes Lucas excused himself, no doubt he went to go see his omega that got him all whipped.

He remained studying for tomorrow surprise to only him paper. That was until a presence interrupted his attention and it was Shawn, the guy who made him question his sexuality years back. Tall, lean, human, every inch of him was so annoyingly perfect. He stopped his fascination with him but now he was here before him.

"S-Shawn. What brings you here?"

"I went to go meet up with my friends in this faculty after our little fund raiser at the park. I was about to go back to my faculty but then I spotted you sitting here alone. I don't know.... I wanted to ask you something."

"Uh-Shawn I have-"

"Are you and Jayden serious? I have kinda always found his bad boy, sweet-geek side of him hot."

"Huh-"

"I know we do not talk that much but could you send me his number?"

That is when it clicked, this handsome devil wanted his Jayden. Something oddly empowering ran over him and he faced the man whose beauty was fading by the second.

Placing a hand to cover the screen that wants unlocked on his chat. He sat like that while trying to pin out what he saw in this arrogant jerk who thought going through his phone without permission was acceptable. Rude ass- hat.

Not just that tad bit of disrespect. All his instincts gathered trying to keep information about his mysterious man who never made use of his social platforms.

"What the hell are you do- Ah. Dammit."

Before he had the shot to blow a fuse, Jayden roughly pulled him away. His phone fell on the ground still unlocked on the ground. No!

The physically stronger man dragged him until they were beneath the staircase. Not chocking him but managing to hold him in erotic hostage. He eventually gave into his need to lead on him.

"No! Jay. Let. Me. Go. Jay!"

"Who was that?"

"I do not care. Jay!"

He begged shamelessly, not liking the fact Jayden was disappointed and no matter what, he did nothing wrong.

His mind was still stuck on that Shawn and that is when he mastered the will to push Jayden away from him.

"Do you want him that bad?"

"No (sigh). What are you doing here?"

"I came to tell you, you mine. Do not ever give anyone your number because for you, I am crazy." - Jayden

"I feel the same about you Jay but now he is out there with my phone. *Idea* Give me your phone. Do you have all the important information saved here or elsewhere?"

Yes. He was jealous. Shawn is beautiful his features more striking than his. Yes. He is jealous. Very much jealous as well as in love with this man, he could not deny it.

"What are you talking about?"

"Fated cooperate. Can you please buy yourself a new phone or please change your number, Jay make it happen please."
