The Reason To Distrust

Eden opens his eyes. The first thing he sees is Kiyo who's stomping on him. The poison has almost reached his brain. His skin also becomes paler. He knows his body can't take much longer considering he can't even feel or lift his fingers.

"I remember when I first met Ying De and Le Baise. They both are bleeding... I felt sorry so I helped them both. After that, I noticed a few cracked eggs at the tree roots. It was Lavisen Snake's eggs. Ying De eggs. Then the nest fell down beside me. Along with its eggs. Le Baise's eggs. These two are fighting for their place. A place where their children were about to be born. But, that led to the high price for the unborn child."

"Kiyora. The answer to your question... How could I hate them? They were my first friends ever..." Slowly after, Eden's eyes became lifeless. Kiyo closes Eden's eyelids and breathes a sigh of relief. 

As Kiyo opened his eyes, he realized that he was already back in the room. Losing one limb, and almost dying to exhaustion, Kiyo walked out of the room using his sword as a cane. Kiyo walked and walked until he saw a sight of Mika who was running towards him.

"Kiyo! I'm sorry that hole sent me 2 floors down It takes time to get back up!" Kiyo smiled but coughed up the blood from his mouth. Kiyo thought he probably didn't have much time. Considering the antidote he drinks shows no result. 

("Even after drinking antidote, it's still hurt. I don't know if Mika can cure me but I have to go forward as I can-" Mika was two steps in front of him. At that moment, Kiyo senses someone's presence right beside him.

"Hello guys~ Can I join this reunion too?" Rudy, has his arm on Kiyo's shoulder. Kiyo was surprised that he tried to get away but he had no energy to. Mika on the other hand, just realized it after Rudy spoke. Mika was one step away from both of them. But they both can sense if they didn't get away from this guy now, they'll be dead.

"MIKA!!! WIND BLOW!!!" Kiyo in instinct, blows Mika away with a wind. From Mika's point of view, he sees Kiyo's face last second before everything explodes in front of him. The explosion created a pile of smoke. Mika doesn't know what happened to Kiyo after that.

The only way to find out is if the smoke is gone. Mika sees the shadowy figure walk out from the smoke. But his disappointment got to him because it wasn't Kiyo.

"He has a good reaction for pushing his friend out before he exploded. But I feel like it was gonna go in vain. Hey, have you ever tasted death yet? If not then you should. Because you are either going to die a hero or die a dog death..."

Mika wasn't paying attention to what Rudy said. All he wanna know was Kiyo's condition after the explosion as he locked his eyes on what was behind Rudy. His intuition was right, but he didn't see Kiyo. But only just the lower part of him.

"T-That's a lie. Kiyo is strong so he shouldn't die from an explosion right? It was a prank, right? Later, he's gonna come out and say it's a prank right?" Rudy, has the flag in his hand and pierced the ground with its pole.

"Trust me pal, he ain't moving. He's really dead. The upper part of the body got blown off. Only leaves the lower part there. Why are you even so upset about it? He only died once, and he can be revived again."

Tears started coming out of Mika's eyes. Considering Rudy has been good to him. But he never thought that he was the kind of person who would kill.

"Why, why did you have to go for kill? I don't understand!" Hearing words from Mika, Rudy looked around, thinking. And then gives a deep sigh.

"I'm gonna give you the life lesson, experience more death will sharpen your fangs. Secondly, never trust anyone out there in the open. Even the adventure, especially in this school. Lastly, your decision will have different consequences. It's either you're dying or he's dying. Taste this feeling of sorrow if you can! Because you never know when he's dying. What I mean is, permanent death."

Mika gripped his hand tight. Bites his lips until it's bleeding. He stares dagger at Rudy. But he still muttered words...

"Is there no other way? Adventure killing adventure, why is it exist? Couldn't they work together to defeat the monster?"

"That's what I believe before. But this world is filled with different kinds of people. Say you met 100 good adventurers who show you a way. You'll become careless and get stabbed by 1 of them. That's why this school exists. To teach us the consequences. The difference between me and Adventure is Adventure considers the monster as an enemy. But to me, my biggest enemy is humanity itself."

Mika looked down. As he stood up and lifted his hammer tried to swing it towards Rudy.

"I've heard enough... Here I come!" Mika charged towards Rudy at full speed. Rudy uses his Blue Shield that's coming out from his arm in order to defend himself. But it wasn't a good idea... 

("What?!") The Blue Shield almost broke from the impact, but the impact itself sent Rudy far. Crashing after the wall after another. Until he made his destination to the seventh wall. The Blue Shield finally broke. As if being hit by a truck, blood coming out from Rudy's mouth.

("What an outrageous strength... He broke the Blue Shield only by using his hammer. His strength doesn't match with his body.") Not allowing a chance to breathe, the giant hammer came flying down towards Rudy but he managed to evade it.

Mika, moving at a fast speed, took back his hammer, and attacked Rudy with all he's got. Rudy evaded Mika's attack, but Mika spun using his hammer and kicked Rudy.

("What is this? He's a pole dancer now?!") Mika keeps attacking while Rudy keeps evading. But, considering Rudy's keep evading Mika. He waited for the right moment to attack Mika.

"I'm honestly surprised by your strength, but I have met them a lot. Because I'm the strategist." At that moment, Mika sees in the corner of his eyes, that something has flown towards him.
