The Hunter, The Sniper, And The Silvers Part 9

Ryuma tried to regain a recollection of what happened as he looked at the hole in the tree.

"Did... I just do that....?" Ryuma remembers everything that's happened from Zoey's shot, until he deflects the bullets, unconsciously. That scene took 0.3 seconds. Even so, Ryuma's hand is still numb and bleeding from the impact and the speed of the bullets.

("No! That's not the time to be amazed at myself! That's probably just luck. Now, think Ryuma Ochirou! How do I get closer to her!")

On Zoey's side, she too had a face most of the people probably have. When a guy deflects a bullet. To be specific, a sniper's bullet. But Zoey managed to composure herself and check the remaining bullet she had.

("Five bullets... Excluding my handgun, they only have 1 round of magazines. As for my 'other' weapon. I'm surprised that none of them has triggered yet. Fuck! I should've brought more bullets if I knew this happen!")

Zoey tried to crack the shoulder bones where they were discolated. As she got a feeling on her arms back, she tried to get up.

"Ok, even though it's still hurt, I've gotta pull myself together and-" Once again she got hit by the iron ball on the head. From the direction where Ryuma is.

("This is the best outcome. I should hide between these trees and leaves. In other to lure her out. Because... I don't particularly know... the exact place where the 'landmines' are." The scene shows that there's a landmine behind Ryuma. 21 Landmines to be exact. 

"I was lucky that I noticed the first landmine. It was placed on the tree. And also, on the branch, around the bush, on the land. It looks like she really prepared in case someone tried to flank her. And, the fact that she's standing in an open space means that she already planted some around her. It pains me but I can't get closer with gamble. This is the best tactic I have." Ryuma had his fingshot ready and tried to take a shot. But...

*BANG!!!* The sound echoes, and the unexpected happens. The bullets moving at high speed. Towards Ryuma's hand. 

"W-What?!! My hand! They've been obliterated!!!" The bullets hit and obliterated Ryuma's hand. Now, the only usable hand he has is his left.

("Fuck! I shot too quickly! I should've aimed for the body instead!") Zoey had her head covered in more blood as she got shot in the head for the second time. But she barely maintained her consciousness. As she muttered.

("I'll probably done for if I was to get hit by anything in the head one more time...") The blood blocks her vision. As she tried to wipe it, an idea came to her. 

On Ryuma's side, he uses a cloth and healing potion to stop his bleeding. Even though it's just barely. ("Now I need to know, does she always have a fast action like that? It's like she knows my exact action.")

Ryuma stood up and tried to run to a different tree. Until a bullet moves at high speed in his direction, except, he never moves from there.

("Fuck! Was that a fakeout?!") Zoey is surprised. It seems like he already knew that-

("She can see me! There's no doubt about it! Wait, CCTV! The school decided to install it last year because of a bullying incident so they can track the student's movement and behavior! Has she put the same thing around here too?!") Ryuma looked around and saw a floating purple thing.

("Was that, an eye?")

("He saw it. My Unique, 'SniperView'. It was an ability where I sent one of my eyes to scout the place in the distance. This ability also comes up with another passive.") Ryuma tried to shoot the eye with a fingshot but the ironball phase through it.

"It's useless! There's nothing that can hit my SniperView! This floating eye can phase through any physical object! And also a magical spell! And now, it's a checkmate!" Zoey hit a button on her pocket.

At the same time, Ryuma hid behind the tree,("She probably planned to hit me through this tree. But I'm prepared. As soon she acts, I'll dodge it and counter it with a fingshot.") Ryuma charged the fingshot in the blind spot where the SniperView can't see it.

A second passed, and Ryuma was caught off guard. With a sudden explosion in front and on his back. An explosion so loud that it almost ruptures his eardrum. The explosion also covered the whole area in dust.

"Couldn't see it coming, can't you! I detonated every mine inside the forest and also in front of me! To disable every sense you have! I might not be able to see you from here. But SniperView CAN!!! And I knew your exact location!"

Zoey aiming at Ryuma inside the speck of dust. 

*BANG!* 

Ryuma heard the shot and decided to lean as his last resort. Covered in a speck of dirt and dust, Ryuma slightly opened his eyes as he saw SniperView stare at him close.

"It's futile! What I'm aiming for isn't you but my SniperView! Even if you tried a last-second dodge you will get hit since it looks at you!" The bullet flew towards SniperView. A purple light emanates for a less than second before the bullet changes its direction toward Ryuma. The bullet took out Ryuma's shoulder blade before he fell to the ground.

At the same time, Ryuma still had an ironball spinning at his finger. And so decides to counterattack by aiming in the direction where the bullet came from. The ironball hit Zoey's knee joint thus disabling her ability to stand in two feet.

The smoke and dust from the explosion have worn down. Zoey was yet again lying on his back and couldn't believe what she was seeing right now. Ryuma stands by two feet and has his fingshot up already. Even though barely... Even with the punctured hole on the shoulder.

Zoey on the other hand thought this was the last standoff. And had her hands on the trigger. Both sides were silent. Until the sound of the branch falling off the tree...

*BANG!*

Both sides have released their bullets. The result led to Zoey's ear being blown off by the ironball. But, Ryuma on the other hand, had a hole in his left rib.
