Somewhere in the middle of the forest, at night, a series of white and black flashes of light appeared, and a loud sound of something exploding appeared that startled the nearby animals.
And from the epicenter of those commotions, a figure suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He had overgrown blackish-brown hair reaching to his nape and almost covering his eyes. A black shirt and torn jeans. Besides him, however, was a familiar-looking paper bag with two holes for eyes on it.
His current state was not that good either; it was clear that he's currently in a weak state and has a high fever from the sudden series of events that happened to him earlier. This resulted in him going into an unconscious state.
Soon, the curious animals started appearing where Mono was. However, something was wrong with the appearance of one of the animals that appeared.
It looked like a giant ape, with a giant body, but had red eyes and four arms. From its appearance alone, it is clear that this was a dangerous... Animal? Clearly, It was not a normal creature.
It got curious about the boy lying in the middle of the forest and approached him. It smelled Mono for a bit before confirming that he was unconscious.
The ape then made a sinister smile and picked up Mono. It turned its face upward and lifted Mono's unconscious body above its mouth. Planning to devour him.
Slowly, Mono's body descended toward its mouth.
However, at this moment, two small figures appeared. Two young girls. One was carrying the other.
"Nee-chan! He's about to be eaten!" Yelled the girl that was on the supposedly older sister's back.
"So what?! Just let him die! It's better for us to survive! Let's leave him alone and become bait" yelled back the older sister
"B-But—" the younger sister tried to persuade her older sister and tears started appearing in her eyes.
Seeing this, the older sister got a bit frustrated and yelled at her "Fine! But stay back and don't come near!"
The younger sister wiped her tears and nodded vigorously and hid behind a tree near her.
The older sister then looked at the ape monster and took a small dagger she had in her pocket and gritted her teeth.
She ran towards the ape monster and climbed its back.
The ape monster, who was busy with Mono, noticed the human on its back and dropped Mono's body. It tried to reach for the human but due to her small size, the ape monster's hands weren't able to catch her.
With a swift movement, the girl slashed the ape monster's nape. Not stopping there, she started piercing the ape's head.
The ape, who now has pierced all over its head, fell to the ground as its blood splurted all over the ground.
"Huff... Huff..." The older sister then stood up and breathed heavily as she wiped the ape monster's blood off her face.
She then looked at Mono's body and went near him. He checked if he was still alive by bringing her head on his chest.
"Although his heart thumps sounded weird, he's still alive." She muttered to herself
"Nee-chan!"
Just then, the younger sister that was hiding behind a tree came over to them.
She then looked at Mono with a worried face "Is he alright?"
"He's fine. He's just sleeping." She replied
"But we better find a place to hide. Or we will face more monsters later." She added
The younger sister nodded and picked up Mono.
"Why even bother saving him? He'll just baggage..." The older sister said, clearly infuriated.
"B, But he'll just die here..." She recorded
Seeing that her younger sister is being unreasonable, the older sister sighed and replied "Fine. But from now on, we won't save anyone else we see, agreed?"
The younger sister nodded. Seeing this, the older sister sighed again and thought to herself. 'Why are you so helpful...'
And with that, Mono was carried away somewhere safe.
* * *
In the morning, Mono slowly raised his eyelids, expecting the same room he had always been from the past six years. However, to his utter surprise, he was instead met with a rocky ceiling.
He was confused. He looked around again and saw that there was a fire nearby. A fire is made by combining tree branches and sticks.
He then looked at his hands then observed his body. He knows it. There was something... Weird about his situation.
"Where am I...?" He whispered under his breath
He tried to remember what happened but he was only met with a black-out memory. All he remembered were bright flashes of light and some... Explosions? He doesn't know very well. His memories were jumbled.
He then slowly stood up and examined the cave again. It was a relatively small cave, no, it was better to call it a small hole in some mountain.
Just then, he heard some footsteps nearing him and immediately looked behind. There, he saw two girls. Carrying two raw dishes with them.
"You're awake!" The girl on the right said smiling
She tried to approach Mono but was stopped by the girl on the left. "Don't... He might be dangerous..."
Seeing this scene, Mono got confused and asked them. "Uh— *cough*" he tried to say something but found out that his throat was a bit hoarse.
He coughed a few times and cleared his throat and continued his words. "Umm... Who are you? And... Where... Am I...?"
The girl on the right then shoved the fish in her hand to the girl on the left and introduced herself. "My name's Kurome! Nice to meet you!"
She looked like an innocent child when she said that.
She then pointed her finger at the other girl and introduced her without he permission. "And she's my Nee-chan! Her name is Akame!"
Mono looked at them for a moment with confusion and introduced himself. "I-It's nice to meet you. My name is... Mono.
"Nice to meet you too, Mono-kun!" Kurome said, still having that smile.
"..." Akame just stayed silent as she prepared the fish that they were gonna eat, leaving the two chatting.
Mono looked at Kurome and asked something he was worried about. "C-Can I ask a question...?"
"Sure! What is it?" Kurome replied almost instantaneously after Mono asked?
"Err... Well... Where is this? And... How are we safe from the tower?"
The two sisters just looked at each other for a while and stayed silent. Obviously confused from the bizarre question the boy just asked.
"What do you mean? And why is a tower dangerous?" Kurome was the first to ask
Hearing her reply, Mono just got more confused and gave them a rough explanation of what the tower was. From his world, of course.
Though, the two sisters either didn't know what he was talking about or doesn't believe him.
I mean, who would believe a tower could control all the humans in its area and transform them into monsters?
"Maybe you hit your head somewhere, Mono-kun..." Kurome said, a bit worried.
Of course, Akame didn't say anything as she started smoking the fish they caught with the fire.
Seeing that the two sisters didn't know about the tower, Mono's confusion grew beyond many levels.
He then asked them about where they are and sadly, only a few useful information was given.
Through Kurome, Mono found out that he was in a forest called Gifnora Forest. A forest where monsters called Danger Beasts is many.
As for the danger beasts, the two sisters didn't know much about them and just said they are monsters that can kill humans easily.
Using this information, Mono fell into deep thinking. 'Danger beasts...? Are they those monsters around the tower? But... They said that they never heard of the tower...'
As he was thinking this, a loud grumbling sound suddenly resounded.
Kurome then laughed while Akame, oh surprise surprise, stayed silent. Though, there was a small smile on her face before disappeared after a second.
Mono got a bit embarrassed and apologized. "Sorry..."
"It's fine! Me and my sister got two fish today! Why don't we eat?" Kurome offered
Mono nodded his head while his cheeks were red.
He slowly stood up and he found something weird. He knows his height increased over the years, so why does he feel so small?
He looked around and found a small puddle nearby and checked his appearance. And to his surprise, his body returned to that of a child's!
'What... Happened to me?!'

A/N: Yeah, so he got sent to the Akame Ga Kill World. At the time when Akame is still a child.
