Partial Manipulation

A month later~

Fuuu~

I sighed deeply as I stared at the huge rice field.

Currently I was in the process of Testing my new ability [Time manipulation].

Which I had not the slightest knowledge of .

While the system mentioned that I had the ability to manipulate Time it didn't specify to which degree.

Hence I had to Test it for myself.

Placing my hand to my chest I exhaled nervously as I guided the spiritual energy towards my eyes.

The process was by no means easy in the slightest.

It required Carter to draw The spiritual energy that was deeply rooted into his body.

Next he needed to scrape away portions of that energy until it's as thin as a piece of thread.

However that thin piece of energy was by no means easy to control.

Without a doubt a single mistake could probably cause Carter to permanently damage his eyes, it wouldn't even be an exaggeration to say that he could possibly die in the process .

Carter knew this very well.

Clenching his teeths he withstood the pain of the spiritual energy flowing towards his eyes.

Let's put this into a more detailed example.

For an instance you could say that The spiritual energy inside Carter's body was like a well (Water well).

The spiritual energy That he absorbed required a tiresome process which means that he had to break down the energy into something that his body could handle.

However that by no means meant that after the spiritual energy entered his body it was all over.

No!

It required Carter to multitask.

His focus would be split between drawing the spiritual energy into his body, while at the same time guide that energy to the affiliated area.

Speed responded to Carter's legs and stamina .

Which meant that he had to envelope both his legs and lungs with energy.

What would happen if The bucket your using to manually draw water from the well had a small crack at the bottom?

Would it withstand the continuous pressure? Or would it continue to leak?

No matter which answer you came up with in a way you right.

The bucket would continue to withstand that water pressure until it cannot.

In the end it'll just burst before eventually scattering water on the vitals area which would be the edges of the well.

The same thing applied to Carter; The energy scattered throughout his body was by no means welcoming.

Just one wrong move could possibly cause his soul to collapse.

Not that he knew of that .

Carter clenched his teeths while as veins buldged.

The process of scraping spiritual energy into thinner pieces was a demanding thing itself.

Now coupled with the process of stabilizing the pieces of spiritual energy that were chipped away Carter had it very difficult.

The burden on his soul was not something That he could've handled a few months ago.

Slowly Carter then guided the spiritual energy towards his eyes which then glowed in a radiant gold.

Suddenly a pang of pain assaulted his body which almost knocked him unconscious.

Ignoring The agonizing pain Carter turned his head upwards as he watched the rice field away.

Suddenly a grey-ish field spread a over the area .

Carter watched in silence as he saw the rice field pace slow down greatly.

Staring in silence Carter observed the rice field a bit more until he eventually received a backlash.

Pop!

His vein's buldged until one eventually popped.

However it didn't end there as blood painted his cheeks red .

Ignoring his bloodied appearance Carter began to reminisced on what he had saw .

Unfortunately that didn't last long when he suddenly felt his vision dim .

'I fucked up didn't I '

Suddenly The system chimmed in .

Smiling bitterly Carter tiresomely made his way home .

Just as the system suggested his actions would have reactions.

With a total of 7 seconds This was the amount of damage that had been done to Carter physically and mentally.

Just thinking about if he had extended the time limit to a minute made Carter shiver .

Finally after arriving home Carter made his way to bed.

Along the way he came across his wives that were having the times of their lives.

The Three women were either discussing various plot holes of movie's that they saw on the Internet which made Carter smiled warmly or they were either posing for group photos.

Carter could vividly remember the day when the three women pleaded To him for permission To post on social media.

That specific day Carter didn't give the girls

a clear answer as he had to think about the choice and consequences that would follow.

And we'll as you'd expect... After days Carter finally gave the girls the ok .

There wasn't much to consider after Carter erased a few problems off the chart, one being the phone's the girls were using.

And no Carter didn't give them Tier 2 phones .

Instead he browsed the system store until he eventually found what he wanted .

3 tier 1 phones which came to a whooping 60:Gp .

In the end it was totally worth it,his wives were happy and so was he.

Now The girls would post 1 group photo each day and quote it "Sister's Forever"

Shaking away my thoughts I made my way to bed which I found rather comforting.

From The information those 7 seconds gave.

I could now Tell that what I possessed was truly time manipulation but the answer was which category of time manipulation?

Could I bend time to my will just as the system suggested or was it something else?

In the end I found the answer That I wanted.

[Time manipulation: Partial Manipulation]

It was as the name suggested The ability to manipulate Time to certain extent.

However the word partial itself meant something was incomplete.

This made me ponder 'is the ability to slow down time something that's actually partial? Or is it partial because there's more to time manipulation itself?'

My thoughts then shifted to the lie I made up about the system which the girls easily bought.

Knowing the decision I made I can undoubtedly for a fact say that I don't have the slightest regret about my decision.

When there's a world that you've failed to explore due to certain circumstances, eventually you'll grow numb to the word called "fun"

Admist my thoughts then shifted to another topic.

Scriptures.

From what I could summarize it's basically an extra ability.

My vision blurred and before I knew it fell into a comforting slumber.

"Is he asleep?" A voice whispered

" He must've been really exhausted to have fallen asleep in the middle of the day" a mature voice whispered

"Husband has been working very hard these past few days so it wouldn't be surprising that he's tired" another sweet voice whispered

"Your right, from what I read on the Internet it seems that husband is a rare case....

He works so diligently everyday yet... "

Staring at The their tiresome husband The girls couldn't help but feel somewhat sorry.

While their husband was busy working in the rice field they'd either be here chatting or discussing various topics.

The girls wanted to help and at the same time they wanted to blame themselves.

"He's bleeding again" Amelia said in a worrying tone as she approached Carter and wiped away the blood that was rolling down his cheeks.

Selene and Sophie watched this scene in silence.

It wasn't that's they didn't care rather they knew their presence didn't serve much purpose aside from taking up time,food and space.

"Did The mission go well?" A voice sounded

"Your majesty it's just as you've mentioned, The government and his official have indeed been in contact witg those people "

Sigh*

"Things are indeed more difficult than it seems " the voice sighed deeply

"Alright then, I'll be sending someone to fill in the position of that minister so for the time being you'll have to be the one that's operating that fifth rate country "

"May I ask how long would it take until that person arrives your majesty?"

" That...I do not know sera" the voice sighed once more.

"The queen and I are in the making of our second child so depending on how good his talent is ...."

"Understood your majesty " sera said as she sighed .

With a flicker of her hands the mirror that was before her quickly disappeared.

"That bastard!..." Sera shouted as she slammed the edge her thrones armrest.

'That bastard just always pulls the right string '

It was clear sera had a deep hate for the person she was supposedly speaking to.

"Your in the making of your second child "

what the hell is wrong with the royal family?

Just the thought of such brazen words made Sera's brows twitch in annoyance especially when the matter at hand was an important mission
