"Eh?" Jiang Cheng said and blinked multiple times.
"It is Sect Leader Jiang I like – " Lan Xichen repeated.
But, Jiang Cheng cut him off. "Don't lie!" he said, frowning.
"I won't ever lie to you." Lan Xichen earnestly said while staring straight in Jiang Cheng's eyes.
Jiang Cheng felt his head exploded. A critical hit! He thought and felt his hear beating fast. "Stop!" he said, furiously blushing. "I don't believe you – " he told him.
"There's a lie in every belief, and so I ask of you to trust me." Lan Xichen said, his face serious. "I like you, Wanyin." He told him.
Bull's eye! He thought after he heard him call him by his courtesy name.
"I only ask of you about Young Master Wei because – " Lan Xichen said, then glanced at Wei Wuxian. " – I want to make clear if you still like him – " he said and turned to Jiang Cheng.
Jiang Cheng's blushing face instantly frowned as he waved his hand like he's whisking a fly. "I don't." he said. "Never." He added.
"But – " Lan Xichen said. " – didn't you grieve for him - ?" he asked.
"Didn't you grieve for Jin Guangyao before?" Jiang Cheng asked back.
A long silence fell. Landmine. The bystanders thought as they continued eating popcorn.
"Don't like when you can't make a person believe you – " Jiang Cheng smirked.
"Yes. I shouldn't, since I should make them trust me." Lan Xichen said. "Completely." He added as he directly looked at Jiang Cheng's eyes.
Another silence fell. They all watched how Jiang Cheng's face went red and Lan Xichen smiled upon seeing it.
"Finally..." the bystanders said and sighed as they stood up and clapped loudly when the two hugged. "... they shut up and just kissed." They said.
A piece of popcorn fell out of nowhere.
