Fighting Their Way Out

After the death of Roneal and his 10 elite squad Zoom didn't hastily leave the room.

"Alright next thing we are going to do is fight our way out of here. If we can't then we can use the back up plan to escape this place." Zoom said.

All of his summons unhesitantly nodded in agreement. Even if the possibility of escaping this place by fighting their way out was unknown they were still willing to try.

"Is every one ready to fight?" Zoom looked at all his summons who lightly nodded with smiles on their faces with happiness.

He turned away from his summons and looked at the large double door in front of him. Now that his summons were ready to fight Zoom pushed back the doors revealing a long hallway filled with players who stood on their post. They stood upright and against the wall. Their eyes fixated on what was in front of them.

Once the door opened the players looked at the door that had just opened and to their utter surprise 1 player and 6 NPC's were spotted.

Their eyes widened in shock at the revelation. Where was their leader and the 10 elite personnel? Had they been defeated by these guys?

Their eyes locked with the outsiders as they gripped their weapons even tighter entering a fighting stance.

All six of Zoom's summons rushed to meet the players who were running their way.

Lemrin was in the front, he used his skills to turn his body into a brick like fortress. As he doubled in size he held his hands forward showcasing his two shield located on his wrists full of spikes he rushed forward like a boulder pushing everyone in his path.

Players were trampled and those who couldn't outrun the fast giant were slaughtered by the other summons.

Roneal's tanks rose to the challenge as they bashed their own shields with Lemrin's. Arrows rained upon Lemrin who shook most of them off. While some arrows could not penetrate his defenses. Some arrows showed explosive capabilities that created an explosion right in his face.

Lemrin roared in pain from those types of arrows.

Fin was behind Lemrin and he could see the agony of his comrade. He held two objects on his hands as he looked at the enemy.

"Your not the only ones with bombs." With a grin Fin threw two boxes towards the players packed with explosives that detonated almost immediately.

While Lemrin protected the others, Fin was clearing the path while Terry, Rika and Davie held the flanks. Seraphine of course was busy healing all of them while Zoom simply looted all the bodies.

Zoom knew he could do so little unless he pulled out his bone staff but he concluded that the skeletons would only slow them down for now. They were very much in a rush to escape before more reinforcements can arrive. Their small team of 7 were easily able to decimate the players who numbered at around 40.

After leaving the hallway Zoom and his summons randomly went through the whole place. It was like an underground maze.

The walls were tough and even after countless barrages from Davie, there was barely even a visible dent. They had to find an exit because breaking the walls would take way too long.

The players were accumulating in numbers and after a few minutes Zoom and his summons were stuck in a long hallway where the players surrounded them from both sides.

They were trapped with each side having more than 120+ players. The players were more organized this time and prepared a formation.

Breaking through this formation was no easy task. Now that the players had a commander within their ranks they were less likely to falter.

Both sides of players slowly walked forward until they would crush the outsiders in the middle.

"Everyone don't forget! That player named Zoom must be kept alive at all costs!" Their commander shouted. Their mission had just become a lot harder.

It was tough to hold back especially since Zoom was together with his summons. This mean that if they attacked them then they couldn't carelessly throw their overpowered attacks since the possibility of accidentaly killing a level 34 player was highly probable.

Zoom was a lot stronger than the average level 34 player and he could even stand toe to toe against an elite player from tier 4 and tier 5 guilds who were level 50 even without his summons. The sheer amount of the cores he had consumed was the reason for such.

But against hundreds of level 47+ players Zoom would have to rely mostly on his six summons. Zoom didn't have time to switch to his bone staff so he couldn't unleash his trump card.

With his current state Zoom could fight 4 or even 5 of these players alone.

The players closed in and were now in range with their enemy.

Lemrin blocked one side of the hallway while Rika and Davie held the other. Lemrin could control his size and therefore grew in size to be capable of singlehandedly blocking the hallway.

Skills were thrown his way which slowly chipped his abundant health. They only dealt minimal damage yet the amount of skills struck on his body would accumulate overtime.

Seraphine not only had skills that had buffs and debuffs, she could also heal. But faced with this many players she couldn't out heal the damage output they could exert even with five of her here.

Fin threw bomb after bomb dwindling the enemies numbers but he had only a limited number of them after all.

While Davie, Terry and Rika could stop the players from breaking their formation they were slowly losing their health at a fast rate.

It was only a matter of time before they would be killed.

Once his summons were killed Zoom knew he would once again be captured. He wouldn't be treated the same as before, Roneal's wrath was sure to arrive in front of Zoom's door steps.

After seeing that escaping was entirely impossible Zoom thought.

'I guess i have to execute my plan.' Zoom sighed at the thought.

'I just hope my bone staff will be fine.'
