When Raven saw Selvih standing alone beside the throne he wanted to go to her side, hug her and say: "Don't worry, I will protect you."

However, he didn't dare do so because Bryen was tying his neck with a whip. As long as he did anything to displease her, and even though she wouldn't kill him, he knew that she would make him feel miserable enough that he would regret existing.

Raven also didn't think that Bryen was involved in this scheme, and that Bryen wanted to kill Selvih. Thus, his plan to make Selvih become his concubine or secret lover completely failed.

Anyway, Raven spent all the resources he had to bring 20 of the 100 strongest assassins of the Shareny Kingdom to this place.

It must be known that these assassins were a special army that the Shareny kingdom had spent a lot of resources to train. They were like the trump card of the kingdom of Shareny, only when the situation was dire, would they deploy those 100 assassins.
