Traveling By Boat

Time does pass like a fly. Is now two in the afternoon. I stand in front of my mirror tying my long hair in a high ponytail that reveals my forehead.

Am putting on white-washed jeans together with a black beige shirt, a leather milk jacket, and a blue canvas.

I sling my bag pack on my shoulder before walking out of my room. I look around the leaving room with no sign of my mum. I called for her but got no response as well.

I walk outside and I saw her sitting on the lawn talking to someone. On getting closer I discovered the other person is Larry. [What's he doing here] I thought before walking up to them. My mum is laughing at only god knows whatever Larry is saying.

" Mum! " I called her gently, she glance up at me still laughing. " I never knew Larry is so funny, why don't you invite him often to the house."

I only shrug my shoulder and look at Larry who was smiling stupidly.

"Big sis, I will be going now" her smile cracked on hearing my words.

"Ah! so soon?" I nod my head. she glance back at Larry who had his hands in his pants pocket. "Take care of my Kisha girl" Larry nods smiling.

I walk out of the house to see Larry's Toyota Tacoma greeting me.

Was expecting to see his girlfriend because he doesn't seem to stay, without having her by his side.

I got in the front and buckle my seat belt. I felt him sitting beside me buckling his seat belt. as well.

" WOAH!!!, Kia, you look hot!" I glared at him.

" By the way what are you doing here" he gave me that stupid smug look of his.

"I don't want you slacking off, you should be saying thanks," he said winking his eyes.

" Thanks, my ass!" I scuff at him. "Seems like it, why are you alone?" I ask him. "Gina is with Gabby!" he said smiling. I squint my eyes at him.

" Ohio! more like you have been ditched," I said to spike him. he glance at me and give me a middle finger, and I punch him on his arm.

"Woah! am driving girl! you can kill me when am done but...I bet my sweet Gina will let you!," he said smirking, I only glare at him.

He drove to the outskirt of the City. He gave me his phone which had the GPRS of where we are heading.

Our car slowly stops in front of what looks like an old farm. I glance at him noticing my eyes on him; he shrugs his shoulder. we got out of the car I sling my bag pack following behind him.

We walk onto the farm looking around.

The whole place looks Isolated. My eyes wander around settling on what looks like a cabin in front of us.

Right then... " SUGAR!!! " I hear an ear infuriating scream. I raised my fingers to cover my ears.

Larry next to me respond to the scream and ran past me in a flash.

" HONEY!!!" Almost knocking me down.

"Hey!" I protest, my sight followed his back rushing to the brown-haired girl in a red mini skirt and black boots. he carried her horizontally and kiss her.

I roll my eyes not knowing whether to laugh or get angry. They seem to be in their world.

I shake my head and walk toward them. right then three more people appear out of the cabin.

Gabby hugs me tightly " Kia, I hope the ride isn't stressful" I roll my eyes at her dramatic reaction.

" Gabby, like that, will save you" I raise my fist playfully at her she dodges me laughing hard.

I glance at the duo that came out with her who am familiar.

Scot nods at me smiling, I nod as well before glancing at the skinny girl beside him who I recognize as his sister smiling at me with her arm folded to her chest.

I feel Gabby's hands hug my shoulder

" Surprised?" she asks me almost like a question. I squint my eyes at her "About what, Seriously?"

She squeezes my shoulder gently " Come KIA, stop being serious for a day mmm!"

A light chuckle Left my lips "With you on our team, anything is possible with that foxy brain of yours;" I said while pointing my index finger at her head. She laughs hugging my shoulder " By the way, you look hot!" she said her hot breath grazing my ear. I shrug her off and took my space. "Yeah! thanks" I said.

" But... what are we still waiting for?" I said glancing at the duo who are still making out.

" Yeah! we got it, but sorry to kill your moment! but we have a business to deal with, you might as well get a room afterward," Scott said getting Larry and Gina's attention who frowns at him.

But he didn't mind, he walks back into the cabin we were all following behind him after one another.

We walk down to what looks like an old basement. we stop in front of what looks like a tunnel. he opened it and we all climb out.

[So much for a deal], I sighed in my head.

I follow the others, we came out on a vast land. what welcomed my view was a sea and a boat waiting by its bank. I look at the rest, my eyes searching for answers.

"Nobody mentioned we are taking off on sea," I said with utmost shock.

Larry looked at me and held my shoulder lightly " It's gonna be fine Kia, am here" I look from Larry to Gabby, seriously! they know I fucking have sea phobia.

Gabby join in the discussion " I don't mean to freak you out honey, but we got this, I promise you, that we will make it up to you" thinking about it I don't have my passport with me. but no plane ticket I scoff and walk forward.

We got to the boat. jump in the side. Larry suddenly shouted like he remembered himself " WAIT!!!" we all turn to glance at him at the same time, giving him a questioning look. "Shit! what about my car?" Scot chuckles, he shot him an eye that says you sure do remember in time.

I glance at Gabby because that's true, the car wasn't packed in a safe place. " Don't worry mark, will look after it" Scot finally said assuring Larry, Larry raise his car key for him to see, but Scot still laughed it off. " Don't fuss! you will have your car the way you Left it" Larry finally calm down.

The boat drove at a high speed we all had life jackets on.

I found a comfortable place to sit inside the boat cabin. Larry and his girlfriend hug each other while Scott is standing with the captain discussing whatever with him.

Gabby, on the other hand, sat beside me surfing through her phone. I glance at Scot's sister who's staring at the sea " Hey! Gabby! do you think this is right?" I shook Gabby's shoulder lightly.

" What?" she asked glancing up from her phone. I nod my head towards Scot's sister's direction. she smiles at me hugging my shoulder. "That..., don't worry about it, everything will go perfectly well"

I only sigh, out of habit, I take out my cigarette which got me a glare from Gabby.

"Not now, Kia!" I played with it instead.

Looking at the darkening sky, I sigh inwardly and look at the others.

Larry and his girlfriend are now lying down comfortably on a couch; wrapping themselves with a blanket.

Gabby and I lean on each other's shoulders. I stare at my mum's text message. "Take Care Of Yourself" I sighed again my eyes falling on Scott's back who now takes over driving the boat from the captain.

My eyes search for her sister who's sleeping on a couch next to Larry's.

Slowly I join the world of sleep. my eyes flick open at the voice of Scott. "Guys! we are here!"

I groan and stretch myself before walking out of the boat cabin and walking toward the deck. staring at the view I could hear Larry's groaning voice from inside, from Gabby lashing at him. "Get your slacking ass up "

" Nah... hands-off Gabby"

I chuckle lightly " You looking good with that smile you know!" Scott's voice took me unaware.

"Hey!" I greeted him, he smiles back at me revealing those cute dimples of his.

"It's been a while, I never expect to see you here," I said smiling at him he folded his arms looking towards the sea.

" Gabby can't leave me out on this oppression and you guys do need me, especially you Kia" I blush at his words.

I averted my eyes from him " You sure haven't quit joking" he laughed at my words
