chapter eighteen

Ophelia woke up and she turned Diego wasn't there then she remembered the conversation they had and assumed that he had gone to ville.

She got up and drew the curtains and then she saw rimona talking to a guy who was wearing a black Cloak she tried to strain her eyes but didn't see the person's face.

"this is strange what would the queen be doing with someone in the early hours of daylight? she asked herself and continued looking at them.

When rimona looked up ophelia quickly bent down so that rimona wouldn't see her "that was a close call what is this vampire up to?

"that her own business not mine now I should focus on how to expose rosie, Maria Maria!!!"she shouted.

The guards told Maria that the princess was calling her so she left what she was doing and went to attend to her.

"good morning my princess you sent for me"she said

"yes I want you to prepare breakfast for three people and get the guestroom ready"Ophelia replied.

"princess are you expecting someone? Maria asked

"Maria just do what I asked you to do please don't question me"ophelia said and Maria kept quiet and went to do what ophelia had asked her to do.

"now Rosie will see I will expose her and find out who that baby belongs to"she said to herself.

Diego sat down in the carriage with his eyes closed all he was thinking of was ophelia.

Rosie was getting tired of the ride and she was not enjoying it the driver was going too fast "Diego please tell the driver to slow down"Rosie said but Diego did as if he didn't hear her

"Diego I am talking to you tell the driver to slow down"she said tapping him to wake him up but he looked at her like he wanted to devour her when he opened his eyes

"Rosie how many times will I tell you not to touch me"he shouted in her face.

"Diego I won't take this why did you take me from my house when you knew you would treat me badly? she asked.

"you are only here because of ophelia said I should bring you if not I would have killed you and dropped your body in Montfort for the wolves"he said looking at her and one more thing if you get to the palace and you cause any trouble for ophelia you won't see the next morning"he gave her a Stern warning.

Rosie thought that Diego had actually come to take her because he wanted to

"so Ophelia asked you to bring me why Diego your wife is a witch a useless one at that she doesn't even know how to use her powers and here am I a vampire who can support you in battle but yet you chose Ophelia"she said angrily she couldn't take this treatment at all she was a royal vampire and should be given respect.

Diego ignored her as she kept ranting till they got to versuvius.

Maria had already made the food and had gotten the guest room ready. Ophelia had already packed her bags and the maids had taken it to the guest room all of them were surprised why the princess was moving out of her husband's room some who didn't like her were very happy and at least they could shoot their shot and win the heart of prince Diego.

Diego had arrived and immediately the carriage stopped and the guard at the door opened the door for him he alighted and went into the palace, he didn't even look back when Rosie called him to assist her.

Diego went to his room and saw Ophelia packing her clothes he was shocked she was the one who asked him to bring Rosie or was she testing him and he had failed.ophelia saw him standing there lost in thought and she greeted him

"good morning Diego"she greeted

"good good morning ophelia where are you going to you were the one that asked me to bring her so why are you leaving please tell me"he said holding her hands. ophelia laughed at him he was behaving very childish. "Diego I am not going anywhere I am just moving to the guest room so that Rosie can stay here with you"she replied.

"who will stay here with who Ophelia what nonsense is this"he asked he could not believe his ears he couldn't stand Rosie not to talk of waking up beside her "no you must be joking I will never share a room with Rosie got that"he said and left,and Ophelia ran after him "Diego she is carrying your baby you need to take care of her

Rosie was standing in the hallway when she saw Ophelia and Diego coming towards her.

"Ophelia no no no "he said and walked on

"please ok fine where will she sleep then? Ophelia asked

"in the stable where the horses are kept"he said smiling mischievously.

Ophelia stopped in her tracks "Diego!!! what are you saying"

Diego turned and smiled "yes wifey but Don't worry I was joking she can sleep in the guest room"he replied.

"no I have moved to the guest room and she is staying with you"Ophelia said and instructed the guards to take the luggage to Diego's room but Diego stopped them "if any of you takes the bag to my room I will feed on you since it been long I sucked blood"he said baring his fangs for them to see then they got scared and stepped back.

"Diego what wrong with you she should be staying with you"Ophelia said pleading with him she didn't want Rosie to go close to her husband but she knew that this was the only way to expose her

"Ophelia tell him I am the mother of his child I should be the one sharing a bed with him"Rosie sneered.

All the maids and guards who were eavesdropping were surprised to hear that Rosie was pregnant,they didn't like her because she was always bossing them around and they wished it was Ophelia that was pregnant.

"yes Diego she is right please do it for me"Ophelia said she felt like gauging Rosie's eyes out but she kept her cool.

"Ophelia I already said no so stop begging me"he replied.

"fine then I'll return to fort and never come back"Ophelia said with a serious tone and she meant what she had just said.
