Grimoire.

"Are you really... what are you?" I asked, hoping deep down that he would give me a reassuring answer. I wanted him to tell me it was just a rumor, even though I knew there might be some truth to it. But his response only made me more afraid.

He looked at me and then looked away, his face showing no emotion. "I don't know," he replied.

I stood there, frozen, staring at him, my heart pounding in my chest. He didn't know? So, the rumors about him were true. How could I not have known?

His gaze returned to me, and I could see a mix of sadness and anger in his eyes. "Are you scared now?" he asked, sounding frustrated. I looked away from him and sat down on the bed, shaking my head. "No... I'm not," I said, even though I was trembling slightly.

He let out a deep sigh and walked out of the room, tired of seeing the fear in her eyes. He had hoped she would be different, but once again, he was proven wrong.
