MHA: Author of Fate

HONKKK! Just like that, he died. He died from a truck that came out of nowhere like a cliche start to an isekai! After achieving a grand milestone in his pathway to success, fate decided to give him a cruel twist and he dies so unexpectedly that it almost felt unreal, but... But it was real. There's nothing to deny that. He was gonna die, he was gonna die to that truck and was helpless to stop it. His life flashed before his eyes, his orphan days, his school days, his depression and joy, his anger and envy, his oh-so-useless emotions and thoughts popping one by one like countless fireworks ready to illuminate the dark abyss in the sky. Finally, the glaring white light enveloped him and he greeted death, the fate given to him so suddenly, with unending anger, and a vow. A vow to fate that if he were to ever be given a second chance, a chance he knew would take a miracle to come, he would grasp at every straw, grab at every single damn opportunity that he can sniff out from the most putrid hells on Earth, and he'll grab his own fate, his own destiny... his own story, and make it his to write. Follow as a man named Dolian rewrite fate itself, and become the author of his story, for an Author of Fate shall be born. AN: BARS! Now that's a synopsis. Anyways, back to this desolate wasteland called webnovel and stuck with you guys again after my spiritual retreat and living life as a normal high school kid... well as normal as you can get when you still have to stress about writing after dying at school and school requirements and all other bullshit. Besides that, I'm back baby! And I'm still bisexual as fuck, also I'm probably a chaser which is yikes; I'm turning redder by the second! But back to the topic at hand, AOF is gonna be a fun project because Dolian's abilities take some inspiration from LOTM's spectator pathway, but I'll also be giving my own flair and twist to his quirks and powers. Of course, even though it says MHA on the title, it would eventually get removed because this is a multiverse story baby! I'll try and make this story as interesting and as good as I can do, but this is more so for my own growth as a writer because my writing style... kind of sucks. So if you do notice my writing fluctuating differently in different chapters, then there you go. Now that's all said and done, I promise to hold back my urge to write soft BL content and not make another disaster like Telekinesis, and yeah, goodbye~ (The cover art isn't mine and belongs to this awesome artist https://www.artstation.com/artwork/9mKO1y)

Chapter 69 - Nice

Eric and Ethan sat down at a table with a slightly hefty meal, with chicken, fries, burgers, and some ice-cold black drinks.

Beside them, the group of five strangers, with the man with golden eyes that caught Eric's attention, were also sitting down with their heavy meals.

"Fuck, I'll get fat if I had to eat all this…" Katsuki said with an annoyed tone. "Then I'll have to pay a thousand yen to you because of it!"

"Why did the price even increase so much?!" Katsuki clicked his tongue.

"Duh, it's because you're rich! You were an average worthless kid before, but you're raking in cash every day! Of course, yours is gonna be more expensive." Ryuji laughed and raised his arms. "Didn't you learn about equity?"

"Throw away that equity, I want equality!" Katsuki slammed his hand down and angrily took a bite out of his burger.

"Still, I can't believe we're going to live in America for months…" Izuku sighed, already missing his parents.

"It's a good thing we've already taken care of the housing issue months ago." Tenya munched on some fries. "We would have worried over that problem if we didn't prepare for it in advance."

"Heh, my sect is growing!" Ryuji pointed his nose to the sky. "We're already rich as hell!"

"Rich, huh…" Momo stared down at her food with a deadpan look, remembering all the shenanigans she had to do in the past few months after the end of the sports festival.

It was all normal for the first few weeks, training hard and all just like what she expected, but the true sinister plot was after the sports festival ended.

All of a sudden, she started her career on Metube, became a model, and voice actor, created businesses left and right, and invested in budding companies, all while the others did the same with their increasing wealth and power in society.

Would a sect be this shrewd and greedy for money?

If she didn't know that a huge portion of the money they're earning is for charity and helping those in need, she would have already believed that Ryuji is a capitalist maniac disguising himself as a hero to secretly grow his influence on society and manipulate it from the shadows… Or maybe it really was like that to satisfy his never-ending desire for wealth.

She shook her head and focused on eating her food. She had to do so because her Quirk needed her to gain fat.

While that happened, Eric and Ethan who were secretly listening in on the side stared at each other with dazed eyes.

Sects? Rich? Money?

What the fuck are they talking about?

Are they sure they aren't some stupid idiots that mistake imagination for reality?

Sure, they can be rich, but a sect? Who even has a sect in this day and age?

"Damn…" Eric coughed and nibbled on his burger. "Can't believe school is starting tomorrow already."

"Yeah." Ethan sipped on his drink and looked to the side away from the group on the table beside them.

The two walked out of the mall as the sun set in the distance.

The day was already ending, and the two decided to end their long and fruitful venture.

As they walked away in different directions, a group of five walked out of the mall soon after with Ryuji leading the group from the middle.

His golden eyes squinted and stared at the distance, at the direction where Ethan walked to, 'Ethan Cress?'

'Huh, I didn't expect to meet him so soon. We didn't meet that much as kids since Uncle Albion lived far away from our house, and I also heard he transferred into Glory Academy this high school, so maybe I should meet him later?' Ryuji pondered with a grin as they soon got into a car, and Tenya inserted his key and started to drive.

"Cars sure are more mainstream here. It's so strange how there is so many roads compared to Japan." Momo muttered and stared at the passing cars through the windows.

"It's a weird thing for sure." Ryuji chuckled from the side and leaned back on his chair with a deep gaze. "God, I don't miss these roads at all."

"It's much more pleasing and beneficial to just walk back home," Ryuji added and rubbed his bulging belly.

"That's true…" Katsuki said weakly, his stomach churning in pain. "Fuck, I shouldn't have eaten so much junk. I haven't eaten WcDonalds or other shit for so long, my stomach is aching."

Izuku sat at the side, his head leaning on the window with furrowed brows. He was also clenching his stomach, sweat dripping down his forehead.

"Damn, you guys got fucked real good with my strict diet, huh? Sucks to not be a dragon!" Ryuji cackled from the side.

Izuku and Katsuki were considered 'senior disciples' in Dragon Paradigm Sect and they strictly ate extremely healthy foods. They ate top-class meat, top-class vegetables, and no unhealthy food or beverages.

It obviously held a lot of benefits for the two aspiring heroes, but with this sudden intake of junk food, it instead brought them to a world of sudden imbalances.

"Hey, didn't All Might start his hero career in America?" Ryuji asked from the side while activating his Quirk, putting the two disciples under an illusion to ease their pain.

Izuku seemed to regain a bit of his usual liveliness when the pain subsided and he answered, "Yeah!"

"Home sweet home…" The five got out of the car, and Ryuji stared at the large house the five now owned.

It was large with a decently big yard at the front, and another yard at the back with a swimming pool if they ever wanted to have fun.

"Now this is what it's like to splurge with your own money!" Ryuji laughed and took off his shoes before entering the house.

The other four followed and they were soon greeted by a dark hallway.

Flicking on the lights, they stretched their bodies around and walked toward the living room.

"We arrived here yesterday and fixed our rooms and belongings, so we can do whatever the fuck we want!" Ryuji plopped himself on the living room sofa while Katsuki turned on the TV.

"Hey, Ryuji." Katsuki called out loudly.

"Mmm?" Ryuji raised his head.

"You said you were from Glory Academy before, right?" He asked in a curious tone.

"Yep!" Ryuji planted his face down on the sofa again, his voice turning muffled. "It was pretty okay, had some friends, though the experience sucked real bad from time to time."

"Glory Academy…" Izuku stared at the calendar plastered on the wall with starry eyes. "The students there must be super good, right?"

"Nope. They're just on par or slightly better with our classmates from UA, and trash compared to you four." Ryuji said with a bored tone from the side before he then raised his head as a flash of nostalgia appeared within his golden irises, "Although there are four others that are really strong."

"They could even be considered your 'senior senior disciples' of Dragon Paradigm Sect, but I was less of a weirdo back then, and the sect didn't exist at that time."

"Seniors?" Momo widened her eyes. "You mean your friends before you started to study abroad?"

"Wait, why did you even study abroad in the first place?" Tenya asked the one question everyone else had at the same moment.

"The reason?" Ryuji's eyes shone with a sinister light, he wore a maniacal grin and answered with a cruel voice, "It's because I wasn't getting paid!"

"Argh, this stupid ass government! Let me tell you! If those children back then were working in the mines, well I was working in a prison cell for free!" He seemed to have remembered something as he slammed his head back down on the sofa. "You don't understand just how much I hate Samue! If I exposed him of his crimes, he would be imprisoned already!"

"You mean Samuel Childabor?" Momo raised her eyebrow in confusion.

"Yes, that guy! He ain't no president of mine! He's the devil in disguise!"

"So, you escaped to Japan and deceived the government by saying you were just going to study there until the end of high school, but you actually did it to 'loosen the restraints of America' on yourself and attain freedom by becoming super rich, and super valuable, and super famous." Momo looked at Ryuji with an incredulous gaze.

"No one's gonna believe you, bro." Katsuki rolled his eyes and grabbed his controller while booting up the console.

"I really think you shouldn't defame the government and the president that much, Ryuji-san. Others might…" Tenya didn't continue his sentence.

Even Izuku couldn't believe what he heard and couldn't process what was said.

"Believe it or not, it's all true." Ryuji shrugged his shoulders.

Momo shook her head and leaned back on her chair, staring down at her phone as she scrolled through her messages.

Ryuji and the others did the same when his eyes suddenly widened.

"Wait, we forgot to post a picture in the group chat!" Ryuji stood up excitedly. "They might think we've been kidnapped already and sold to some human traffickers."

"That's right!" Tenya widened his eyes. "Aizawa-sensei must be waiting for our update!"

The five hurriedly gathered into a group with Ryuji leaning his phone against a table. The five stood in funky poses as they grinned widely.

"Say Dragon Paradigm Sect is the best!"

"Cheese!"

Flash!

A flash of white light shot out of the phone as a camera's shutter can be heard. Ryuji stared at them with a disappointed gaze while grabbing the phone and checking the picture.

"Damn, Tenya, you look goofy as hell in this picture!"

"Oh wait, Momo, you too!"

"Ahahaha!" Ryuji laughed loudly as the two in question hurriedly looked at the phone.

But, to their surprise, Ryuji pressed a button, and a loud click was heard.

"You fell for it!" Ryuji cackled louder and stared at the glorious picture he managed to take of their fear-stricken faces.

"Ryuji! You better delete it!" Momo lunged herself forward.

"Ryuji-san, that's breaking basic etiquette!" Tenya also did the same.

But, can they ever hope to catch someone as skilled as Ryuji?

With skilled movements, Ryuji posted the two pictures on their group chat.

Kaminari: Damn, Momo, what has gotten into you?

Mineta: Wow (heart eyes emoji)

Mina: Ugh, I wish I'm also in America!

Reaction after reaction, laughing at their faces, were seen on the group chat.

Aizawa: Quiet down. You're the face of this school, so you five better not goof off in Glory Academy.

"Ha!" Ryuji dodged to the side while typing out, "Don't worry Sensei, we'll bring glory to UA with us five here (shades emoji)."

"Who wanna cook dinner with me?" Katsuki stood up from his couch and turned off his phone, turning to look at the other four.

"Eh, I still have to prepare for a later collab with OmegaGayDog later since we're planning on doing a karaoke later this week." Momo shook her head.

"What about you, Tenya?"

"Sorry, the homeroom teacher of our new class is talking with me right now."

"Ryuji?"

"No can do, buddy." Ryuji slowly stood up with a yawn and walked toward the door that lead to outside the house. "I've got a little business to attend to?"

"Ugh, fine. Deku?"

"Sure, Kacchan."

"Damn, I guess only us two then will have to take care of our 'junior disciples', right, Ryuji?" Katsuki said in a sarcastic tone.

"That's right!" Ryuji laughed along the way as he put on his shoes and tied his shoelaces.

Then, with a click, he opened the door and shouted, "You don't have to cook me dinner I'm eating elsewhere!"

Ryuji's body appeared through a tear in space, his eyes calm yet melancholic. He took a deep breath and stretched out his hands, knocking on the door in front of him.

"Who's there?" A woman's voice can be heard. It was sweet and powerful, like an energetic dragon full of vigor.

"Is it the package I ordered?" Another voice can be heard, belonging to a man.

"Maybe it's my new book!" The woman also seemed to have the same idea as the man and quickened her footsteps.

As the two pair of footsteps stopped, the door slid open, revealing a pair of husband and wife with expectant gazes.

But, instead of a package or anything of that sort, they were instead met with a pair of golden eyes that shone warmly with familial love.

"I'm home…" Ryuji smiled, revealing a toothy grin.
