"HAOHFOSNOAHFFAOIHOI!" An eldritch roar boomed as heaven and earth shook.
High up in the sky, a horrific ball of dark light with white edges loomed high above, causing the sky to have inverted colors, turning the night sky white and the stars black. The dark clouds shone brightly like heavenly ships, but none can enjoy the beautiful scene amidst the chaos and destruction.
From the ball of inverted colors larger than buildings and mountains, a strange power exploded out of its body and the order of the entire world was inversed. The clouds in the sky suddenly started drifting downwards instead of side to side and turned heavier than lead as they became weapons of mass destruction threatening to destroy the city below them.
"Tsk." An annoyed tongue click was heard and a figure coated in rainbow-colored sparks flew through the air with a sonic boom.
As the shadowy blur waved its arms, space-time distorted and the chunks of metallic clouds were erased out of existence. Then, the figure stopped in its tracks and looked down at the land beneath it with a solemn gaze.
The figure was unexpectedly a young boy around the age of 15, with pale white skin, jet black hair, and rainbow-colored eyes. He wore a simple oversized black shirt and baggy black pants, along with a pair of black sneakers.
But, even with his young age, one can feel the heavy burden on his shoulders right now.
"Just my luck, this is really a fun and exciting 'dream'," The boy said in a sarcastic tone as he flew like a human jet.
He tore through the sky and colorful sparks once again erupted out of his body, erecting a strange dome-shaped barrier of unexistent space. Any metallic cloud that landed on it was stopped in its tracks and slowly erased from existence, like a wall that erases everything it touches.
The ball in the sky hummed loudly in anger before reality is once again inversed and the ball disappeared at the same moment.
"Fucking hell, what kind of broken ability is that?! It can fucking destroy the order of reality and just do whatever the fuck it wants!" The boy cursed and activated his Quirk once more, erasing space-time and finding himself in a new place with nonexistent laws.
The ground was the sky and the sky was the ground. The dirt was made of solid flames colder than ice, while the sky was an endless ocean filled with stars swimming around like shining tadpoles.
The boy once again cursed as he looked at the watch on his wrist and saw a number quickly rising higher the more reality was overturned on its head.
"Tsk, if only I have New Order! But I haven't found a timeline with Star and Stripes as the anomaly. Although…" The boy stared at the ball of inverted colors looming on the ground sky with a grin. "You yourself is an anomaly, meaning I can take your Quirk once I kill you!"
"I need to make this quick. If I take too long, this entire timeline is gonna get destroyed!" The boy hastened his pace and erased space-time once more, creating a void that caused him to appear in front of the inversed colored ball.
He swung his arm as his colorful eyes flared out with sharp light. Then, he stretched out his hands and slammed it straight at the living ball of eldritch horror, but it reacted just as quickly and his hand passed through it as if it was not there, yet it was also there at the same time.
'FUCK! I hate this shit! How many times did I try to steal your Quirk? Oblivion doesn't work since it's mindless as it is and One for All hasn't elevated it enough to a higher level, while Void cannot fucking erase something that is immune to virtually everything!'
'What do I do? Do I request for backup?! But members of Astral Court that can contend with this monster would spike the divergence factor too high, causing this timeline to be destroyed far quicker!'
The boy was stumped out of his mind and tried to think of a solution as fast as he can while reducing the lives taken as least as possible.
'Wait, that's it!'
'Oblivion and Void can theoretically deal with this thing with enough power, but my Law Seed has still only bloomed by a bit. The difference between our strength is too large. But if I transform into a dragon and "burn" a bit of my soul, I'll have enough strength to kill this thing in one single blow!'
While this could theoretically work, it was still an uncertain and unsure solution.
Souls, and the Origin, is the very foundation of Quirks. In essence, your Quirk's power is the power of your Origin, while Souls are the foundation of your Origin.
A strong soul is needed to support a strong Origin, and he's already a 3rd Stage entity, a demigod. If he destabilizes his soul foundation, maybe he'll get assimilated by his Origin and turn into a monster, or die, or be too weak and muddleheaded to even deal with the monster, but there was no other way.
'One for All is the engine of my Quirks, the stronger it gets, the more powerful my Quirks become and the more my Law Seed can grow. By sacrificing a part of my soul, I can temporarily boost the power of One for All and finally deal with this monster!'
A resolute light flashed in the boy's eyes as he gritted his teeth.
Then, as a colorful star within his soul shined brightly, the tendrils that were connected to his soul started to emit a strong suction force as parts of his soul was absorbed into the rainbow-colored star, increasing its power beyond its limits.
Blood trickled down his mouth as the boy wore a warped grin. Sparks of all colors erupted out from his body as his hair rose up to the sky.
"What a dream!" He said with a muffled voice, his sarcasm just barely showing his rationality.
The ball with inverted colors shook upon sensing his threatening aura. It knew that the enemy in front of it reached its level and could threaten its life.
"OAEUIOAIEO!" The ball roared as reality once again shook.
It was about to activate its power in an attempt to kill the boy in one single blow, but was he dumb enough to let that happen?
No!
"Heh…" The boy smirked and his eyes widened with a sharp light. "Oblivion!"
Even though nothing physically happened, the ball seemed to have been activated by an unknown power as it stopped its actions. Reality stabilized by a bit as the ball stopped activating its quirk.
Instead, it roared confused, not knowing what it was doing for a short while.
What was oblivion?
'It's when you don't exist to others. It's when your existence itself isn't perceive by those who are conscious!' The boy unknowingly appeared right behind the ball of inverted colors. 'Even this ball isn't immune to the concept of consciousness, because if it were, it would be practically dead!'
'Void!'
His power erupted with divine might, and everything that was tens of meters ahead of him was erased completely from the physical world, including the ball.
Blood and flesh fell down to the ground, revealing the grotesque and hideous body underneath the shining ball of light's inorganic exterior.
It splattered down onto the 'ground' and entered the blue water, which then contaminated the fishy stars and the light slowly died out.
Even the giant fish, the moon, was barely alive as the entire world dimmed down.
"AOAIEAFHAO!" The ball cried out in pain as a hideous mouth opened from the side, revealing rows of sharp black teeth and a green tongue.
It seemed to have broken out of a weird spell as it remembered the existence of the boy, and stared at him with a fierce glare with its nonexistent eyes.
Reality once again began to warp, but can a nearly mindless beast deal with the wisdom of man?
Oblivion!
The ball once again forgot the existence of the boy, and was struck another deadly blow.
This scene was resumed over and over, but the power boost the boy received started to dwindle out while the beastly ball of inverted colors slowly adapted to the constant bout of oblivion.
But, it was too late.
"This is the last one!" The boy raised his arm to the sky and a blade of nothingness formed above his head, piercing into the fiery dirt above him that represented the sky.
"Void Slash!" He bellowed with a cathartic scream and swung his hand down, displaying his exceptional skill in swordsmanship that cleanly cleaved through the beast in one swift motion, splitting it into two as it slowly detached itself from each half.
Blood flowed out like an endless river as the moon struggling in the endless sea beneath him grew dimmer and dimmer, its vitality dwindling away the more the blood coated its graceful body.
"Huff…" The boy breathed out a sigh of relief and stretched out his hand into the air in front of him, pointing it at the remnant soul of the beast.
Swoosh.
A colorless star flew through the sky, with everything in its wake, be it the concept of colors or the concept of distance, making it so that it arrived in front of the boy in a moment but also for eternity.
With a bloody grin, the boy absorbed the extremely powerful star into his body and soul, and colorful tendrils sprouted out of One for All and rooted deep into the colorless star.
His eyes rolled to the back of his head as reality started to shake. Everything around him, whether it be thoughts, atoms, or even concepts ranging from time, space, life, and death, started to be turn nonexistent.
Three powers erupted with ungodly strength, erasing and turning what was once real into something not.
Eventually, he calmed down as his damaged soul started to recuperate, and his originally powerful aura weakened by a bit. His colorful eyes were a bit dimmer compared to usual, but his damaged soul can't hide the excitement that leaked through his gaze.
"Null, the power to erase concepts! Hahaha, it's like it's meant to be!" The boy laughed and threw his head back.
"Back when I first got Oblivion, I wasn't able to get any other Quirk because my body was having a hard time adapting to its power. Then, when I was finally able to get a second Quirk other than Oblivion, I got Void!"
"And now, Null landed on my lap!" He shook his head with a wide grin.
Even though his soul was damaged, he instead received a huge boost in strength.
'At this point, I could probably be in the top 100 of Astral Court once my soul heals itself to its peak condition. Sadly, I can't use Null to erase the concept of damage from my soul since it can't erase the thing that holds nothingness itself, but that's fine.'
'I have numerous methods to heal my soul, so it should only take around a couple of weeks to return to my peak condition.'
'In fact, I should delay it so I can take a break from my job!' His eyes started to shine brightly at this fact before he then looked at the ravaged area around him.
He sighed and started to use his newfound Quirk, Null, and used his temporary godlike strength to slowly erased the passage of time altogether, removing this part of this world's time and reverting it all back to normal.
"Ugh…" He coughed out blood and wiped his mouth with a crafty grin. "Fuck, they should really compensate me after this."
As he took one last look at this saved timeline, he started to hear a loud ring in his head as the entire world shook.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
The sound of his alarm blared out like a monster, waking him up from his dream as a young boy with messy black hair, pale white skin, and colorful eyes stared at the ceiling in a daze.
"Damn, it's the last day of summer already."
AN: This chapter has 2055 words.
This is unedited, but it's because I spent way too much time on plotting out Fortune Stealer and writing its first chapter.
