Classes were finally over after a long day of school. The sky was dyed a tinge of orange with the tall buildings of Musutafu blocking the sun, casting long shadows on the ground.
The students of U.A. walked out in either groups or alone on their own. It was still the first day of school, so friend groups weren't plenty as they were still getting used to one another's presence. Among those groups of students were Ryuji, Izuku, and Katsuki.
"I really thought that Mineta-san would be expelled back then. I'm glad that it didn't happen." Izuku heaved a sigh of relief and slumped his shoulders.
"Pfft, you believed that shit?" Katsuki laughed. "I didn't believe him one bit!"
"Well, I guess it is true that there are nearly zero expulsions in UA, " said Izuku. He rubbed the back of his head, embarrassed.
As they walked out of the gates did they notice that Ryuji didn't follow them. Instead, he stared down at his phone with furrowed brows.
"What is it?" Katsuki called out.
"I have some stuff to deal with," Ryuji clicked his tongue. "You two can go on ahead without me. Gah, this would take a while to finish"
"What about the stream collab?" asked Izuku, worried.
Ryuji smiled. "Don't worry, I'll be back by then."
"Okay." Izuku nodded his head. "Take care then, Ryuji-san!"
They waved goodbye and bid farewell to Ryuji. As both of them disappeared from view, Ryuji turned around with a smile on his face and walked into an alley while avoiding the surveillance cameras along the way. He also activated his quirk and appeared invisible to everyone else that was beside him.
He was meticulous in the route he picked to make sure the upcoming operation was flawless. Upon arriving inside the dark and empty alleyway, a slithering shadow slid out of the ground beneath and swiftly transformed into an exact replica of his appearance.
It was like staring into a mirror. There was no almost no difference between him and the 'Ryuji' reflected in his eyes. The only real difference they had was that one had a Quirk while the other had none.
"You know what to do," Ryuji muttered and patted the clone on the shoulder.
'Ryuji' nodded his head and walked out of the alleyway with the same eccentric smile.
One lesson he learned after living for over a decade in another world was that it was better to be cautious than reckless. He wasn't willing to let this opportunity go to the point that failure must never be an option. So, he would obviously prepare as much as he could for this tiny adventure he was about to start.
A small, indiscernible portal opened up right beside him. From the portal, a petite hand poked through and touched him on the shoulder. In one moment, he was human, and in the other, he was now a small mosquito.
While he technically does only have one Quirk, the system he built over the years almost fixed that problem of his. Through portals and Quirk holders placed within specialized pods that practically granted immortality to the bodies placed within them (for the price of being forever enslaved to Ryuji), he could access a vast array of quirks at a moment's notice!
Buffs, healing, transformation, quirk nullification, teleportation, even Ryuji himself was impressed with the number of quirks he could use. In a way, he has replicated All for One, even if it were artificial and had a lot of flaws underneath its exterior that can be easily deduced with enough brains.
After activating a few more quirks along the way that dealt with supernatural investigatory methods, he flew out of the dark alleyway as an inconspicuous mosquito, nearly invisible to the naked eye, and only appeared as a small dot that hovered in the air.
The mosquito was surprisingly fast for its small frame, and it flew out into the street, imperceptible to the human eye. Soon enough, as Ryuji followed the mental map he was visualizing inside his mind, he looked onward at the black car rapidly approaching where he was hovering.
His 'eyes' lit up and Ryuji swiftly flapped his tiny wings. He swerved and moved through the air with agility and grace. He soon arrived inside the car by flying through its window, latched onto the edge of an empty seat, positioned himself to avoid contact, and stared at his target.
…
Yuga Aoyama was a young man with a slim build and a rather feminine face. He has long blond hair with fringes sticking out like pointy spikes. He was usually flamboyant, prideful, narcissistic even, but gone was that elitist attitude of his.
He held his stomach seemingly in pain. He winced and squinted his eyes. He felt that his stomach was about to just implode from the pain.
"Sigh," he slumped his shoulders, "I used my Quirk too much today."
Yuga appeared sad and depressed, unlike his usual flippant attitude. If others were to see him like this, they would be surprised by his shift in personality and attitude. Of course, Ryuji understood why Yuga acted this way when he was all alone.
'Hohoho, for a traitor to land right into my hands, life is just splendid.' Ryuji laughed inside his mind, yet he remained completely focused and didn't let his attention waver for a single second. Success was important and failure was unacceptable.
Yuga remained unaware of the mosquito that stood nearby.
He stayed sullen, guilty, and fearful. Vivid recollections of the past flashed within his mind, painful and tragic memories replayed as a crystal clear memory etched in the annals of time.
It all started on the day he found out he was quirkless.
…
Yuga woke up that day with news that broke his fragile heart. He was quirkless. A muggle. A dunce who was unfortunate enough to be born as part of the 20% of humanity that are simply fragments of their powerless past.
It was a day full of turmoil, and the following days weren't any better. Even with all the riches in the world, there was nothing he could do to change this outcome.
His friends—now simply part of his pleasant past. Relationships were broken, friendships cut; the young Yuga Aoyama lived a life that lacked life.
He was lifeless for a long period of time to the point his parents became worried about his health. Discrimination, inferiority, insecurities, and all sorts of issues plagued his mind. The young boy nearly reached a tipping point and dug himself deeper and deeper into the abyss known as negativity.
It was then that his life took a turn, for better and for worse. He met the man known as All for One, a person his parents described as a "Messiah of the Past." Yet, Yuga could tell that the man was not a messiah nor someone with good intentions.
Still, this was the chance to change his life! A chance to defy his given fate and acquire the thing he yearned most even with all the riches he was given since birth—a Quirk!
No logic or rationale could sway that burning desire of his. Fate gave him this tragic life, and he was willing to do anything to turn it around! Even if he was a child, he knew that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that he must grab with his own two hands.
So, with perhaps an err of judgement, Yuga and his parents signed a deal with the man closest to the Devil and finally acquired his quirk, Navel Laser!
His body was incompatible with it to the point that he even felt weaker than ever before when he had it, but his joy was endless. He could fix those problems with time and resolve them with the money he had. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
No amount of money could acquire what he just gained!
His life then continued as usual, silent and peaceful, peaceful enough that the man who gave him his quirk became a mere part of the past. They thought they were safe, they thought that the man had no use for the debt they had over him.
Unfortunately for them, they were wrong, they were truly wrong.
All of a sudden, a few months ago by the month of January, is when his life took a turn for the worse. The mistakes of his past finally caught up to the present, and he found himself entangled with guilt and sin. From the top of Mount Everest, he was plunged into an abyss of mud and filth.
He became a spy, a pawn to be used by the man known as the Symbol of Fear.
Yuga did fancy the idea of being a hero, but he never thought of becoming an actual hero. He instead had other aspirations, other jobs he wanted to partake in, and other dreams he wanted to pursue, but All for One had other plans for him.
He was forced to partake in the UA entrance exam, and if he failed, he would be severely punished and have his quirk taken away, along with his life threatened. That was when he took a turn deeper into this abyss.
Now back to the present, his life would only start to get harder from here. He would truly start to become the spy he was created to be.
He would gather intel, and write details about the development of his classmates, their personalities, their quirks, and abilities. He'll become a sinful mole, helping the greatest villain to ever grace Japan, all because of his yearning for a quirk when he was a child.
But, in a cruel twist, he didn't regret it one bit. How could he? He indeed got what he wished for. He lived a peaceful and comfortable life free of worries for over a decade, with a priceless Quirk that cannot be bought with any amount of money to ever exist in the world!
He can't stop now. He was in too deep. His life and the life of his parents hung on the Devil's fingers. One mistake and he would experience a life worse than hell, plunge deep into the abyss from his heavenly paradise.
Yuga shivered in his guilt. In a way, he was already on his path to becoming society's greatest traitor, a man who turned his back on heroes for his own selfish desires.
'But, is it that bad?' Yuga asked himself. 'Is it my fault to want to have a Quirk when I was bullied without one?!'
He clenched his fists, his emotions erratic and in turmoil.
Ryuji looked on from the side. Finally, after a few minutes, he has practically experienced the entire life of the person known as Yuga Aoyama. His character, his personality, the way he thinks, the way he would think when subjected to change, he's practically an open book for this master manipulator already!
This was an undeniably huge stroke of luck for him. He couldn't even begin to believe this was happening, but it was real no matter how he looked at it.
Ryuji was already doing his magic, a quick plan was already concocted in his mind on how he'll use this pawn to his advantage.
Yuga was pretty much the only person Ryuji could use who has the closest contact with the living myth, the Symbol of Fear, All for One, the person whose Quirk Ryuji greatly desired. He remained unmoving from the edge of the empty seat and did his magic, activating his quirk to meddle with Yuga's mind.
Soon, the car stopped and the chauffeur opened the car from the side. "We're here, young master."
Yuga appeared to have calmed down from his previous emotional state and walked out of the car. Flying right beside him was a small mosquito no larger than an ant. The two didn't notice the mosquito's presence at all.
Yuga walked into their large house, his thoughts cloudy and in a mess. 'There's no turning back now. The moment I signed that deal was when my fate was already sealed.'
He clenched his fists, resolved to walk down this path to its end while not forgetting his goal, a way to take down All for One and acquire freedom!
Yuga sat down on his desk and opened his laptop. He created a blank document, and with focused eyes, he started to type out his first-ever report.
As he did so, a small mosquito flew out of his room and into the living room where Yuga's parents were discussing with one another in worry.
Ryuji grinned inwardly and landed near the mother and father. His eyes glinted with menacing light, and with the sheer difference in power, his Quirk activated without any mishap.
AN: This chapter has 2142 words.
I really think I choked back then, fr fr, but is it necessarily a bad thing? Like, if I were to enter a relationship back then, then I wouldn't have entered this downward spiral and would instead continue to practice my girl voice and, later on, become a VR Chat content creator with the main niche being "Gir Voice Trolling" or shit like that.
Shiver me timbers, my ability to sound like a girl could have really leaded me down a darker path. I'm glad I'm here instead, writing in this decrepit shithole in an attempt to garner enough fans that one of them would potentially fall for me and I'll nab myself a cute boyfriend.
