Ready To Start Again

LiLi smiles as she stare into the eyes of Leo.

"You know, I thought I was the person at fault all this time, that's why I never came upto you" Leo said and LiLi widened her smile.

"Don't get it too hard on yourself. I am the person at fault. Acted like I knew all but when I am in the presence of you I... " she kept quiet and stared at something that caught her eyes and that's behind Leo.

Felicity and Joe are sitting up and talking, but their not facing them. They don't even know that they are awake.

Leo turns to get a sight of what made LiLi pause and when he does, he smiles at LiLi and together, they crept slowly and carefully, so that they won't make a sound and so that they won't attract the attention of those two.

Felicity is seen on the ground, trying her best to sleep but it all proves abortive. She stands up and sits ahead of the others behind that are asleep.

Remembering her father, Will, and everyone else that she always recieves mockery from and the people that gossips about her, both negatively and positively.

"Are you okay?"

With a silent gasp, she turn to her left to see Joe standing beside her and staring down at her. She looks around to see if the person that asked the question is within sight, but she soon realized that it is Joe who asked the question. It is confusing because that's not his voice.

His voice is a bit deeper and sounds harsh a bit.

"I am fine. I just... "

"Why are you not asleep?"

He sits beside her gently and carefully and stare at her as she responded to his questions.

"I... I don't feel like sleeping. I just want to stare up there for now" she replies, staring at the moon and not at Joe.

Though Joe keeps his gaze on her and smiles faintly, but due to the darkness of the night, it wasn't visible.

They remain silence until Felicity started thinking of bringing up a conversation.

"If I may ask, what happened to your parents?"

She isn't curious though, she just want to bring up something to talk about instead of making the atmosphere boring and not exciting.

"They died in the Century's war. Peril went against the order of the citizens ville and so during the war, my mum went to get some food for us from our farm when something exploded. All the people in our neighborhood came out just to hear another bomb exploded and different parts of the human body landed everywhere. When my father went out, we all followed, just to see the head of my mum land in front of us... " Joe paused and closed his eyes.

"He quickly pursued us out of the house and when we were a few steps away, our house exploded... " Felicity mouth flew to her mouth in horror.

"My father died kneeling beside my mother's head. And so we have always been working hard to get supplies ever since then"

All that he said got pictures in both his mind and the mind of Felicity.

It was like it happened again, just right in front of him as he explained everything. Felicity eyes grew watery, which is so unlike her.

Felicity is a very stubborn and an unbreakable person. Born with so much vigour and so much hard work running through her veins.

But now that she felt like crying, even her father, Will, will be surprised when he sees her like this.

"I am so sorry to hear that... "

Joe simply wiped a tear off his eyes and then turned to face Felicity. "Never mind. It has happened and the past has pass"

Felicity felt like strangling him at that moment but she restrained herself. She hates when she hear people talk about life as if adages interpreted them...

Of course it did, but this one is the most infuriating one ever!

"I've noticed how you act towards LiLi... You do not like her do you?"

Joe clicked his tongue in anger as he turned and stare at the sky with glimmery and angry eyes.

"She is a good person. But I don't trust her"

"We don't expect you to trust her because you know nothing about her. But at least try not to show that you don't trust her by talking to her"

"So, are you taking my side or hers?"

Felicity stares at the puppy eyes and bit her lower lip. She is definitely taking LiLi's side but Joe...

Joe knew how to make a lady speechless indeed. It's like he haven't met a lady that interrogates men the way he does to ladies. That's why he interrogates them the way he does.

"I'm taking no one side. Just saying the sense out of LiLi's side" Felicity said with her head held high.

Joe stare at her and Felicity's heart skips when he leans a bit forward.

She pushes him back with her palm gently and she didn't miss the glint of disappointment and anger that skips the eyes of Joe before he released a smile.

She don't even know him. He can't get her that easily.

"Let's get some rest, shall we?" She ask and Joe nods without uttering a word.

LiLi and Leo watched as they both stand up and head back to their sleeping positions. A large distance between them, the girls on the left and the boys on the right.

LiLi and Leo watched the whole scene in admiration and then turned to look at each other, and then back to Felicity and Joe.

"Think Mr "Always Suspicious" has found someone" LiLi said, staring at them.

She thought that Leo is also staring at them, but no.

He pulled her by the waist to him, LiLi let a little gasp out as she turned to her right hand side, just to feel the Jaw of Leo on her shoulder.

She giggled.

"You know how you make me feel right now?" LiLi ask softly

"How?" Leo asked.

"You make me... Hmmph!"

Leo caged her lips with his, taking LiLi by surprise.

She tried to let go but he just kept following her every movement, not disengaging the contact they are having.

LiLi let out a silent groan, holding tightly to the face of Leo.

Leo withdrew and they both stared at each other, happy for one another.

"You ready to start again?" Leo ask with a cool smile.

LiLi held his jaw, staring into his olive eyes...

"More than ready"
