"Gav," Derek called out, and the half-drunk man turned. "What's sup… man"
"Snap out of it," Derek said. His violent emotions burst out at that moment, snapping Gavin into a state of vigilance.
The aura quickly disappeared, as Derek had withdrawn it. Seeing Gavin behave normally again made him more firm in his decision.
"I want to show you something. Follow me," Derek said and began walking. Gavin quickly followed him with curiosity.
"Why aren't you with Juliet?" he heard Derek ask and scratched his head. "She's busy. She runs this place, so it's expected."
Gavin's foolish reply made Derek shake his head.
When they arrived at the second floor, the same guards who gave them free passage blocked them. The bigger one turned to Gavin. "She's busy"
"HUMPF" Derek snorted and smashed both bouncers to the wall. Elite-ranked superhumans had no right to stop him from showing Gavin the truth.
