There is a silence before he starts to repeat himself. "Are you ready for your next-"
I cut him off. "Sir, what should I call you?"
"And how is that of any importance?"
"Don't you think it's not fair if you know mine but I don't know yours?"
"You can just call me sir. Are you ready now, Test PERFECT?"
"Another question-"
"Enough!" He snaps without hearing me out. "You are dismissed."
I scoff and exit his room. I almost want to hear the pleas and screaming cries but I don't. It's quiet once more, and the floorboards creak with each step my bare feet make. The hallway is now dirty, box filled, and has floorboards missing. I keep pushing my hair behind my ears but it keeps falling down. 'Is there anything I can use as a hair tie?' Then I spot it. My eyes lay upon a piece of rope sitting on some dirty boxes a few feet ahead of me. As I hop around the floorboards, trying to not make a lot of sound, I step wrong and make a huge noise. I stand perfectly still, hoping not to attract any other big wolves. I stood as long as I could, holding that ninja pose, but nothing came so I let down my guard. I take the rope and tie my hair back. I test it out by flinging my hair a few times then giggle to myself.
I scan the hallway for other rooms but it seems the hallway goes on forever. I sigh and start walking. There starts to be more and more boxes and I have to start weaving like a snake as I walk so I don't run into a tower of them. I get to a spot where I can't go any further. There is just a wall of solid boxes with a gap at the top, and I thought pushing on it would solve the issue. I gave the wall of boxes a few hard pushes with my door-breaking-strength but it didn't budge at all.
"I hate these tests," I say under my breath. "And why- no, HOW did I eat that huge wolf? Is that what made me so strong?" I stop and flex my muscles, they look the same and aren't any larger. "Weird, normally they get larger." I sigh and turn back around. Maybe I missed something? Like a gate or another big wolf? I take my time, looking at each box and checking the inside of them. Most of the boxes are empty and some just have junk. But when I moved one set of boxes, they revealed a hidden, steep staircase going down. I sigh and head down it. It's not like I have any other options.
I walk slowly and with caution. I look behind me and see how the stairs are vanishing as I walk down them. The one under my feet disappears and I notice too late. I fall into an endless pit. Well.. maybe not endless. My feet slam hard against a floor of some sort. It's hard to see due to lack of light. My legs buckle from underneath me and I hit the floor full force.
An eerie echo surrounds me. I feel breathing on my back and a blue light shines behind me. I slowly turn to see a black and blue dragon-like creature. It's long and skinny with a blue underbelly. The scales are a fade of black to dark blue and the glow is coming from its eyes. It lets out another eerie echo and I clench my ears.
I'm sorry for the huge delay and the short chapter. I haven't had the time to write much,
