Chapter 05

The battle become more intense as the sound of explosion become more frequent. The noise of sentry gun shooting down a wyvern? Whatever it's a flying lizard.

Blaze already took down two flying lizards, giving him thousand exp. Blaze knew that this battle will last will be tonight. On that night will give the enemies a good surprise, that they wouldn't forget for the rest of their stay in after life.

An arrow flew toward his direction Blaze took out the desert eagle and shoot the arrow. He look around to who shoot the arrow he aimed the desert eagle at the culprit.

The culprit died and Blaze received his reward killing the culprit. Blaze shoot the retreat cowards at their back.

Blaze purging the cowards that could only retreat, thus they died with a shameful death.

Few more explosions and gun fire the end result was worse than before, after Blaze piled up the corpses, even him was surprised the death in 2nd offensive is 40,000.

Blaze mumble silently, went to JSDF bathroom and took a bath. He saw Itami with low mood, he ingore him it's not his problem to help the depress person.

Blaze took out a laptop and a flash drive sticking the flash drive into the usb port he find the download file. Thus, Blaze begun watching anime that he downloaded before he entered the gate. Fortunately for him Japan's internet is fast, he's able to download whole one piece series.

Blaze didn't know what's anime as his memories fragmented only left were the fragmented animes that why he choose GATE: Thus the JSDF fought there. But he don't know the anything about the plot of the story, hence Blaze didn't have much advantage about the information in his current world.

Itami is depress that he's able to go to the convention, while walking pass the bathroom, his ear perk up when he heard the opening song of one piece.

He peeked through the small gab he saw Blaze watching anime on his laptop. Itami's mind went haywire.

'This guy is also a man of culture! Then, it explain why he acted like a chuunibyou by sitting on the corpse.'

'Thinking about it makes me want to hide, the genuine fear I felt earlier is something that I can't explain.'

Itami realize what he's doing he immediately left, seeing a man of culture that still able to do his priorities. Blaze just gain a respect from Itama.

Blaze got out of the bath he wore the standard issued JSDF uniform. Although it's only a pants, and combat boots, its okay for him.

Blaze climb up on the tank and sat there, he really doesn't know how interact with someone or even hold a proper conversation. Unless they would interact at him first, not it's still okay.

Taking out a small wooden box, he took out the content and it's a steak he use observe incase it's just an illusion.

Hearing that they gasped, they couldn't believe that they're still no going to retreat, they already lost so much men in single day.

"Tonight is new moon... In this darkness, we should be able to make it to to the other side of the hill and ambush the enemies."

Later at night around 10,000 soldiers quietly marching towards the hill. They didn't know someone is already watching them and ready to take them out.

When they pass through the tripwire series explosion echoes the place. Then, they fired flares to brightened up the place, it was then follow up by tanks, it was an another one sided slaughter, and from the traps that Blaze made, he was able to get another great amount of exp.

Blaze fired at enemies, killing over 300 soldiers from opposite sides. He's able to leveled up his skill Sharpshooter and Gun Mastery to level 5. Blaze also reached level 7, he felt stronger than before. As he could handle the recoil of his gun thus, his aim become much more accurate at blowing off the enemies head.

"ONE GUY RUSHING TOWARDS THE BARBWIRES!! CEASE FIRE WE WILL CAPTURE HIM FOR INFORMATION!!"

Blaze shouted, they use a telescope to see the middle age with eyepatch wearing a red armor rushing at then.

The guy with telescope gestured to stop firing. Blaze change his magazine to new one with tranquilizer as the ammunition.

Aiming at the horse, Blaze shoot the horse the horse fell down, the middle age man fell and rolled on the ground. Blaze shoot him with tranquilizer too, Blaze dipped his Barrett into the blood and took out the desert eagle. He run to the unconscious middle age man, seeing that Blaze is going to retrieve the man he immediately ordered.

"Don't let the enemies get close to him! Fire!"

"Roger that!"

Noises of gunshot begun to sound again as Blaze retrieve the target. Those able to get close to him, Blaze blow their heads off, he run carrying the man and the horse.

Arriving at the base Blaze threw the unconscious man on the ground but he gently put the horse down.

The commander patted his shoulder "I didn't know the famous ruthless assassin will save an animal"

"Animals are innocent they just got dragged into the war by humans. In short I don't have a beef on animals."

The commander nodded, and ordered two soldier to bring the man to the interrogation room.

"Do you still have a granades, about 200 I'll end the fight so the soldiers can rest this fight is already taking much of the resources."

"I see, I understand, hey you bring 2 boxes of explosive here in instance!"

After a minute the soldier arrived panting while carrying two boxes of granades.

"Thanks command, please tell your troops to stop firing as they're going waste more resources."

The commander gesture to stop, the was confuse of why but they still follow the follow the command and decided to rest.

Just they about to go to their tent an explosion alerted them, they immediately turned around, their jaws dropped when they saw a man charging to enemy lines. Throwing granades at them, killing multiple people in the process.

"That guy is a mad man!" One JSDF soldier exclaimed the others agreed too.

Blaze inner childish bahavior emerged "Hey you here a Granade for you"

The enemy soldier instinctively catch the granade and he exploded along with other curious soldiers. The soldier who saw it ran away in fear of exploding.

"Hey, don't run away! I have a gift for you too a bullet to your head!"
