Gao Yang and his group had walked for a long time, setting off during the day, and it was not until deep into the night that they reached the meeting place next to No. 40 Motorway as agreed with Uriyangko.
Traversing through the jungle was challenging enough, especially carrying someone on a stretcher and with lots of equipment, although they took turns carrying and rested frequently. Yet when they emerged from the jungle, each of them felt a tremendous relief as if they had escaped from the jaws of death.
They had agreed on a meeting point, but the chance of meeting immediately upon leaving the woods was still slim. However, after they left the jungle and reached the roadside, they immediately saw vehicle headlights in the distance.
After seeing the headlights on the motorway and contacting Uriyangko by phone, they confirmed that the long line of cars parked by the roadside was indeed brought by Uriyangko. Most of them sat down on the motorway with no energy left to stand.
