Su Jian's cheek quickly showed five distinct and bright red finger marks. She was already unsteady on her feet due to a twisted ankle, and the slap nearly sent her to the ground. Fortunately, she managed to steady herself by grabbing onto a nearby cabinet, narrowly avoiding a fall, but she could still feel a piercing pain shooting through her ankle.
Despite the pain, Su Jian didn't utter a sound. She looked up at Ye Nuannuan and spoke in a calm voice, "If you think that wasn't enough, you can hit me a few more times."
Ye Nuannuan glared at her, her face full of anger, "Do you think a few slaps will make me forgive the disgusting things you've done? I feel like even touching you dirties my hands. You can get lost. Don't ever show your face in front of me again, or I'll hit you every time I see you!"
Out of the corner of her eye, Su Jian inadvertently caught a glimpse of the man who stood by in silence, and a surge of scorn unexpectedly bubbled up from deep within her heart.
