He said that with a smile, almost saying, 'what's wrong with that ?'. Contrary to my bewildered face, Tyanne sister's calm demeanor surprised me.

"Because all of you will go through training before we enter the battlefield." The Grand duke added.

"That's why, both of you and the others will reach North alongside the Duke people, So packs your things before the evening."

"Yes, we'll be using the teleportation gate anyway. This trip will only happen for a few days, probably three days if we're delayed."

The Duke and Head priest talking one after another, just like an old acquaintance.

"Understood, then please excuse us."

The Head priest and the Duke approved us to leave, as soon as we get out from the room Sister Tyanne sighed.

"What's wrong ?"

Maybe she feels burdened because her complexion was a bit pale. Moreover, the news came out of the blue.

It's not like we as a priest live in a peaceful environment, its just happen to the lucky one such as noble lineage or the ones that had strong backing which is why we were sent into the battlefield.

But, yeah... our work ethic was good too.

"Nothing, just pack up for now and do your urgent business first before we left the temple. We probably won't come back for sometimes." Sister Tyanne said while patting Ophelia head.

She was a kind older sister, Ophelia's past life was a firstborn child, so she had to pay attention to her little brother. Because of that, she felt grateful for her care all this time along.

We parted away in front of the Head priest door, I was in a different section from Sister Tyanne. I am heading to the west building for apprentice dormitory section,

Packing the important luggage, I took my research notes and my potion making equipment. Storing all of it inside the magical bag, along with the important herb.

She brings along her practical clothes and robes for spare use, tying loose ends with the patients in the orphanage and slums, as well as saying goodbye for a time being.

By the time comes, she stood in front of the carriage with everyone else. The Duke servants, busily storing the luggage inside the carriage.

Quickly were left the temple after bid our farewell with the head priest.

Considering the distance, the duke went straight into the teleportation gate.

It's not her first time crossing the gate, she often did it with the expedition team as well as everyone. It costs you 25 silver coins for a single ride, that's why common people can't afford it.

The Gate itself was connected with the big town in every fief, maybe she'll go straight to the duke residence.

'Using teleportation gate always make me feel jittery.'

What she saw now were a huge sphere of mana which was the thing that connected us with the other side of the portal.

'I heard that, they used a fixed coordinate to make sure it's safe. (sigh) My eyes hurt because of the light.'

Closing the carriage door, all the carriage went inside the gate. It only took 5 minutes for the carriages to arrive at the North, far from the capital.

Opening the carriages curtain, Ophelia could see the high walls in front of them after two days worth travelling. A snowy field covering their ground while many knight and soldier patrolling busily from a far.

It's a cold night under the torchlight, carrying the everlasting winter wind that burns our lungs.

It's a Military site, probably the borderline between Rockdale Kingdom and our Athenian Empire.

This is the tallest wall I've ever seen except for the Palace walls, much taller than the great walls of china.

I had a hunch that this place will become our settlement, given the conflict hasn't been escalated to a dangerous degree. Our training might consist of survival and physical training as well as self-defense.

Arriving in the midnight, a knight stopped our pace to go inside the walls after. Checking the luggage.

"Go with Atwin, He'll show you the living space."

The one who spoke seems like a knight in charge of our lodgings, and Tyanne's sister as our representative chosen because of the circumstance was earnestly talking with the knight as soon as we reach the barracks.

"Thank you, Sir Grey and Sir Atwin. May the sun bless both of you."

After so many turn inside the building, we reach a large room which was consist with another priest. Everyone was resting except for the priests who wait at the front door.

"Priest Luth, This is the Priestess Tyanne from the Sun god temple." Said the knight named Atwin.

"Nice to meet you, priest Luth."

"Glad to know you, sister Tyanne. Come inside, all of you must be tired because of the travel. Ah, and thank you, Sir Atwin."

"It's my duty after all, then I'll excuse myself. Rest well everyone."

He nodded to all of us and leaving, I was looking at his blurred back and to the priest from another temple.

"Sister Tyanne and the other female priestess could go to the left side, while the male come with me to the right side. There is a thin wall between our side." Priest Luth said, "Ah… Then do call me brother Luth or just Luth in the future, I was the head representative for all of us from the time being. Is there any question ?"

"No, we understood, brother Luth."

"Yes, you can rest assured."

The one who talk was Layla and Hale, an apprentice priest like me. They learn from Priest Jin and Priestess Rose.

"Good, then rest well, everyone. Tomorrow will become a hard day."

""Good Night""

With that, everyone parted in front of the door, and went inside the designated space.

I remember my days when I had to sleep on a field trip with my coworker for a project with the limited budget. The place we sleep in was enough for everyone, not cramped but its neat enough.

There is bed and locker for each other.

"Pick the empty bed, you can rest for tonight, Ophelia. I'll be sleeping in here." Said tyanne sister to the silent me.

She looks so worried because I am not talking much to the way here.

"Yes, I will sister tyanne."

"Are you alright ?"

"Yes, don't worry too much, sister. I am fine."

I was reassuring her and left her after she believes me. Taking off my shoes and robes, changing it with the comfortable ones.

I lay down on the bed, and opening my notebook.

It was my diary, filled with my original language which was I am afraid to forget. I write down my favorite foods and its recipe that I know, my little brother memories, my works life and anything I could remember.

I read them again once in every time I miss it.

"Mr. Jill..." I muttered quietly, reading a page about him. I wish that he was reborn in a better life, even thought his irritating temper comes from the perfectionists side. He was kind enough to protect me from the impact.

'Do it again' he always said that to my work files with the stern and annoying face.

I laughed on that silent night.
