Nineteen

Louise leaves and the teacher gets serious.

"Since you no longer have a sword, I declare that I win."

"No, a moment ago you were on the floor, so victory is rightfully mine, isn't it?"

"Yes, she's right sir" said the students.

"Well, I'm waiting for you to give us all our 20" I say very confidently.

"Yes, I will" (this girl is starting to get on my nerves).

I leave to join Yuto and Theyla had joined him earlier.

"Great, you gave him the beating of the century" Yuto says, super excited.

"Yes, it was impressive to see, especially the last action" Theyla says, it seems she analyzed everything I did.

"I'll never get to your level" said Yuto.

"Don't despair, you'll get there eventually". I say, patting him on the shoulder to comfort him.

The rest of the day goes pretty well for me but apart from that nothing special I have lunch with Mei, Ayaka, Yuto and Theyla and the rest of the classes are normal. But when I'm about to leave the school, Mai grabs my arm.

"What's wrong?" I am surprised.

"You forgot but we wanted to show you something."

"Oh yeah, I completely forgot, I was just looking forward to going home."

"Yeah, let's go."

"And Yuto, he's not coming with us"

"No, he went home and said he had more important things to do than this"

"Oh ok, but what are we going to do?"

We walk for a few minutes and then come to an ice cream shop.

"Do you want me to come with you just to have an ice cream"

"Yes, the ice cream they sell here is great" Mei says with stars in her eyes.

"Yes, the only problem is that Mei and I aren't allowed in because Mei broke the ice cream machine a few times".

"It's not my fault that the ice cream machine broke but you'll see that their ice cream is the best, you can go and get us some ice cream please".

She looks at me with childlike eyes.

"I'll go then."

I walked into the shop and saw a poster with a picture of Mei and Ayaka with a ban written on it.

( Which was actually true )

I walk over and buy 3 ice creams then walk out of the shop and Mai runs to me to get the ice cream then Ayaka kindly comes to get her ice cream.

"Thank you, that's really nice of you" Ayaka says kindly.

"Yes, thank you, but I have to go now or my parents will worry".

Mei walks away.

"Now it's just you and me and I feel like we're going the same way" I say to Ayaka.

"Yes."

We walk together for a few minutes, finish our ice cream and arrive at the park.

"Do you want to play in the park Ava"

"Yes, that's a good idea, let's go to the swing"

I take her hand and lead her to the swing, she climbs on it and I start pushing her.

"Tell me Ava, I've noticed Ayumi looking at you a lot, do you know her?"

"Oh yes, she used to be my friend, then she changed overnight, but that's okay, and now you guys are my friends, Mei and Yuto, I think you're really funny."

I keep pushing the swing while talking, and we end up talking about everything and getting to know each other.

"I think it's time to go home, Ayaka."

"Yeah, let's go."

I walk Ayaka home, but I'm still wondering how I should get closer to Ayumi, so I think I'll ask her advice.

"Ayaka, I have a question for you." I say as I stop. And she nods her head to tell me to continue.

"How can I rekindle my relationship with Ayumi?" I ask her, crossing my arms. I see her think for a moment before answering.

"Well I think you could first get close to her, show her that you want to be her friend and then maybe ask her out." She sighs before resuming.

" Well, something like that." she said before we arrived at her house, she greeted me before entering her house which was quite simple I must admit.

Today I'm not training with Theyla because after my performance today against the professor Theyla was impressed by my development in a few days.

I go home afterwards, there is no one there as usual they must have gone on a mission, so I go up to my room to slump on my bed. I wake up a few hours later to prepare dinner and go back to sleep right after my body is exhausted after carrying that katana today.

The next morning.

Today is Thursday, and we have our first magic class, I'm really looking forward to it even though I don't know what we're going to do yet.

I feel like I slept really well I get up, take a shower, put on my uniform and have a slice of bread and decide to leave as soon as I get out of my house I see Ayaka who also just got out of her house

"Hi Ayaka, would you like to go to school with me?"

" Yes and anyway we go to the same place"

I and Ayaka walk together talking and laughing then we finally get to class and Mei runs towards us, but she falls on the ground

"Are you ok Mai?"

" Yes, don't worry" she says as she gets up.

" As energetic as ever" I say laughing

" Yes, now it's time to go to school" she pulls Ayaka's arm to make her walk faster

"Please stop Mei"

"No I'll keep going until we get to the hall"

" You are tiring Mei"

I start laughing and don't look my way when I accidentally bump into someone

"Sorry, I didn't mean to."

I help her up, and then I look at her a little closer and notice that she's quite small, like an elementary school student, she has blue hair and purple eyes, it's cute

" It's okay, it can happen." say the girl

"Tell me you didn't go to the wrong school, girl."

" No I didn't."

I help her up and when she stands she's only half my size

"You're really tiny."

" Don't make fun of me I'm not small, it's just you that's really tall" (I feel like she's a wolf, and I'm the prey)

The bell ring and then me Ayaka and Mei decide to go to class when we get to the classroom the teacher isn't there yet, so we decide to sit down then after a few minutes of waiting the teacher comes in, and I notice that it's the girl I bumped into earlier

" Hello everyone, my name is Honoka and from today I will be your magic teacher."

She moves towards the desk, but she falls on the floor and at the same time she drops all the papers that were on the desk on the floor

" I'm really unlucky now I have to pick them all up"

Most of the students start to laugh

"I think this is a joke, it's impossible that you are our teacher and how old are you, 10 years old" say a student

"Stop laughing at me I am the same age as you"

" Hey little girl I don't think you should stay there go back to your class" say Chloe she is so mean

A lot of students start laughing and Honoka looks really sad, so I decide to stand up and help Honoka to pick up the paper, and then I decide to speak up

"You have to be ashamed of yourself, she is a teacher despite her young age, so it's not because she's small in size that you have to make fun of her and I'm sure she's much more powerful than all of you here"

" Maybe she's right" say one of the student

"No, I don't think you're right, and why should I apologize anyway" Chloe stand up

All of a sudden there is a great magical power emanating from Honoka which shuts everyone up because they are so impressed, and then she touches the table, and it breaks in two

" Will you shut up? Yes, I'm not a teacher for nothing so from now on listen to me."

"This teacher is scary after all" Chloe sit back

" Thank you for helping me collect the papers, you can go back to your seat now"

" Yes, I will, Ma'am"

I go back to my seat and Honoka resumes her class.

"Well now you're all going to be paired up except that I'll choose who you'll be with" say Honoka.
