The wedding day.
For most girls, it was the happiest day of their lives, but for Rose, it was the scariest.
Tessa and Shirley were there, helping her get ready. They had patched things up after the club incident. The day after, they'd shown up at her door, tearful apologies tumbling out. Tessa explained that she had tried reaching Rose, but it had been too dangerous. Rose accepted their apologies; after all, what could they have done against werewolves?
A blush rose to her cheeks as she remembered Kieran coming to her rescue, pulling her close, shielding her. For once, she'd felt truly safe, even though she had seen him as a beast at the beginning.
"Wow, you are so pretty, Rose. Like a true bride," Shirley said softly, snapping Rose out of her daydream.
Rose swallowed the knot of emotion in her throat. She hadn't imagined her wedding would be like… this.
