No matter how Rory pressured and interrogated him, he wouldn't say another word. His fists were clenched tightly together, and his knuckles were turning white.
As she almost frantically asked the same questions over and over again, he suddenly opened his eyes, his eyes red.
"Nothing!" He growled.
Rory quickly regained her composure, even though she didn't get the answer she was looking for. She still got a lot of useful information.
Maybe they knew each other years ago, even before she knew Cole. How could she have forgotten all this?
"Blake, did we know each other before?" she asked, her gaze blank.
He knew he had not revealed anything important and hadn’t answered her, so he only shook his head silently.
"Why won’t you answer me?" Rory didn't know how else to get answers.
Maybe everything she imagined was true, but Blake just didn't want her to know.
