The day before the land auction, Rory and Sylvia met.
Sylvia ordered an iced Americano, but Rory stopped her. "Since you're pregnant, maybe you'd better just have a glass of water."
"Thank you." Sylvia said, surprised.
She could see that Rory's eyes were clear and free of any animosity, "I used to misunderstand you."
"What?" Rory was taken aback.
"I always thought that your indifference to Cole was just a facade, and that you had deep feelings for Alpha Cole. I thought it was impossible for you to give up so easily. Whether your previous indifference and detachment were real or fake, I always thought that there was a place for him in your heart. But now it seems that I was wrong," Sylvia said with a self-deprecating smile.
Rory didn't respond to her; she didn't come to chat with Sylvia. She went straight to the point, "Are you and Alpha Cole going to attend the land auction tomorrow?"
