Back to the Pack(2)

The Pack was in chaos but it wasn't obvious on the outside. They knew that showing any kind of weakness would make them a target for the other packs that long wanted to exterminate the rouges because they were considered filthy. When the scout teams returned the night before, they didn't have any promising results which sent everyone's panic meter up to 150 but they couldn't panic to not worry the children.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Tom asked Kelly who looked haggard due to not getting any sleep the previous night.

"We have to make a plan." She responded closing her eyes tiredly.

"Didn't Mei leave us a safety plan in case anything should happen to her?" Tom asked suddenly causing Kelly to perk up.

"Yes she did but she wouldn't use it just yet. Let's explore our other option first." Kelly said.

"So what do we do?" Tom asked and Kelly took a seat at the breakfast table opposite cradling her coffee up gently in her hands meanwhile at Vandimir Castle, Gabriel has gotten the location o his daughter.

"My King. Things aren't good." His subordinate says nervously.

"Report." Gabriel says coldly taking a sip of wine.

"She was framed by the wolf king's self-claimed lover and tortured. Her innocence was proven however the injuries she sustained caused her to slip into a coma though it looks as though she's just unconscious on the outside." He says.

"Has she ever fed?" Gabriel asked placing his glass on the desk.

"No. Records show that she's never fed but her witch abilities however were awoken at a young age." The subordinate replies slightly nervous for the temperature in the room is abnormally cold.

"Prepare the jet. We're going to pay the wolf king a little visit." Gabriel says before leaving the room and heading to his wife's garden where she spends most of her time.

"What's wrong?" She asked as she laid her eyes on her husband.

"I need to pay the wolf king a visit." He says shedding the murderous aura and giving her a warm smile.

"Did you find her?" Erica asks and he nods somewhat stiffly.

"What's really bothering you?" She asks him.

"She's in a coma." He says and Erica freezes for a moment looking him in the eyes but when she realizes that he isn't joking. she straightens up and approaches him.

"What do you plan to do?" She asks him.

"Before I pay the wolf king a visit, I need to visit her pack first. Her pack is the largest in the continent and the official packs don't know anything about them. She's kept them well hidden, even I had trouble locating and getting information in them." Gabriel says to her wrapping his hands around her waist.

"When are you leaving?" She asks him.

"Most likely tonight. If I delay any longer, it may harm her health more than it already is." He says in response with a sad sigh.

"At least take her brother with you. It may help." Erica says and he nods in agreement.

"Go prepare. I'll keep things under control while you're gone." Erica says giving him a gentle kiss and he smiles. He leaves the garden heading towards their room to pack before visiting Eric's room. He knocks gently on the door before entering to see his son sketching away in his drawing book.

"Hey, dad. What's up?" He asks happily feeling closer to Gabriel than his stepfather.

"We're leaving for the wolf lands tonight. We found your sister." Gabriel says causing Erics eyes to light up happily.

"Really?! You found my sister!" He exclaims happily but stops when he sees the downcast look on his father's face.

"She's not in good condition and where we're going before we get to her they don't trust easily so we can't act rashly." Gabriel says to him.

"What's wrong with my sister?" He asks taking a seat beside his father on the bed.

"She's in a coma from what the reports say." Gabriel says honestly not hiding anything from him. Eric goes silent for a few moments and Gabriel waits patiently for him to collect his thoughts.

"So what are we going to do?" He asks looking at his father.

"First off, you should know she's the Alpha of the rouge pack and is the mate of the wolf king." Gabriel says informing just in case.

"Damn." Eric mutters under his breath.

"If you don't want to make the trip, you don't have too." Gabriel says but Eric looks at him with a gaze filled with determination.

"I'm coming with you. She's not just your daughter but my sister and she needs me as well. I've missed out on many years already and I'm missing out on any more." Eric says causing his father to smile.

"Then pack enough for at least three weeks. I'll see you at the airport tonight." Gabriel says before leaving his room.

'Don't worry sister. We're coming for you.' He whispers to himself before packing his bags. That night, after saying goodbye to their family they boarded the plane and soon they were in the air each lost in their thoughts.

One worried and nervous. The other is calm and looking at the situation from different angles while speculating but their goal is the same.

To bring Mei back safely.
